Princess Port D' Plaisance - Cole Bay

I really like the hotel, very similar in style to Amsterdam hotels, modern and clean. Located in Philipsburg. Service was great, very helpful at the front desk and were eager to help with directions or change for a bus or cab. Lots and lots of shopping along Front street where hotel was located, and a beautiful view of ocean and bar/restaurant at the back of hotel. Lots of action along the boardwalk. but some days, way too many people shopping. I was able to walk from the front of hotel straight through, past a cool bar, right out onto the beach. They did put me in a corner room with a very small balcony, but the price was good. It was noisy from the street but things settled down after about 7pm. A few good restaurants nearby, but the best ones were in Grand Case, a 30 min cab drive away.

Restaurants within walking distance and all were great. We drove to Spiga one night but next year will not bother. Also went to L'astolab whichwas great.Geraldine & Arneau at Alamanda were both very professional & helpful. Continental breakfast was wonderful.

i don't think this is really a four star hotel. maybe a 3. this is NOT BEACH FRONT and it is kind of hard to get to from everything. its modern, nice... but not what a four star should really be.

the only problem we had was no water for two days. no electric for 12 hrs. and the inter net service is very poor.

My wife and I spent part of our honeymoon in Anguilla at Frangipani. To sum it up. AMAZING! The food, service, accommodations, views, beach, weather, staff, the activities, the bed, the drinks ... way too much to list. Only 18 rooms. So wonderful to not be around 100's of people. We just cannot say enough about the resort and of course the island. The beach was ours. Of course there were a few people here and there. But nothing beats having a beach to yourself. Especially a white sand one with clear teal blue water with no sea weed or rocks in sight. The word breathtaking doesn't do the beach justice. Yes we did indulge a lot on this trip. We ate well, drank well and tipped well. Your on vacation, why not. You know what they say "when in Anguilla" Anguilla is the new Rome. If your looking for paradise, this is where you must go. We like to travel and don't often go to the same country, let alone the same resort twice. Frangipani will be an exception.
