The staff was very rude. I had requested a late check out. I had a do not disturb sign on my door and the cleaning lady proceeded to knock and come in the room. I also recieved a call from the front desk asking about check out when it was recorded on file that I had a late check out. I then ,later, went to the vending machine down the hallway. We stayed two nights. Carpet was very dirty, comforter on one of the beds had a big stain on it. lights by the beds did not work, pool was down. Only reason we went ahead and stayed there was because it was across the street from my brother that we were visiting and he had a pool for the kids to swim in and we spent most of our time at his place

After traveling all night we needed a quick sleep over hotel. Much to our surprise how dirty the room was. We have never stayed at a hotel this dirty. The carpet was dirty and the room smelled bad. I used my own lysol wipes that I carry with me to clean the fixtures. The next morning I went to find my daughters shoes and under the bed skirt was trash!!! […] Cups and wraps from the previous guests stay. Very gross. We will never stay at a Sleep Inn again. Although advertised as a non-smoking room, there was a faint smell of smoke throughout the hallways and the room (but not the lobby)....I did not ask to change rooms in this instance because it appeared to be old smoke that was likely there before the hotel went smoke free....and the presence of he odor within the hallways lead me believe it was throughout […] the hotel. I was there 3 nights and smelled the odor each time I re-entered the hotel, but quickly became unconscious of the odor once in the room for a short period. We decided to stay in Smyrna instead of Nashville proper. We wanted a quiet hotel away from crime. Smyrna fit the bill. The Sleep Inn is located between Ruby Tuesday's and the Cracker Barrel, so you have a place to eat within walking distance. The Sleep Inn needs some work. When we arrived, it took 15 minutes for someone to come to the front desk. […] A couple ahead of us gave up and left. The elevator didn't work, and it took another 10 minutes for the clerk to fix it. Non-working elevators don't instill confidence in me. The free breakfast was worth every cent. The coffee was so weak we had to go to Starbucks every morning. I stuck to the yoghurt and oatmeal just to be safe. No bananas available, except on the advertisements for the breakfast. Two days during our week stay the room wasn't cleaned, one day they shorted us towels, and one day they didn't leave any shampoo. The Sleep Inn is better than Motel 6, that's about it. We will try another Hotel the next time we go to Nashville. Read more

My room had an unpleasant odor - neither the A/C nor the heater (or fan) was able to eliminate it. Secondly, the bed cover had a recent stain, near the headboard, which had not been laundered. Thirdly, there was trash in one of the drawers. Finally, it was clear that housekeeping had not done a thorough job, as not all cups etc. had been replaced.

Everything was OK - place was clean but worn, bathroom was clean but functional only. My primary complaint was quality of bedding. The sheets were well worn, and there was only one thin blanket in the room. It was cold, in the mid-twenties, so I called housekeeping to ask for another blanket or two. I asked them to grab one for me from an empty room, for God's sake, but was told they could only bring me another comforter, which was stiff and uncomfortable. The beds were extremely comfortable - since I am a side sleeper with back and hip issues, this is vital for me. The breakfast was nice - waffles and oatmeal and sausage and biscuits were available, among the usual hotel continental breakfast fare.

Comfy room. Breakfast OK. If you're a non smoker, this is this place to stay. They're serious enough about it to charge a hefty cleaning fee if you smoke in your room. Would recommend it.

For my family, all hotels are compared to the Ackerman Inn. This Sleep Inn was definitely cleaner than the Ackerman Inn. Sleep Inn smelled better, did not have bugs in the bathroom and offered complimentary breakfast that included a waffle maker.

We have stayed here before and am very impressed with the condition of the building and our room. I enjoy having an indoor pool (especially with the winter weather).
