I was actually quite pleased with this hotel overall. It's a Super-8, so it's not a fancy 5-star place; however, if you are driving in upstate NY and you need to spend the night somewhere, this is a great choice for several reasons. #1: STAFF I found the staff to be quite friendly and thoughtful. Our GPS sent us to an address about a mile or two short […] of where the hotel is actually situated. I called the hotel to find out where I had gone wrong. The gentleman who responded asked me to tell him which building I was in front of, and then he was able to put me on the right track. When my husband and I arrived at the hotel 10 minutes later, the same gentleman had already prepared all paperwork for our arrival, making the check-in a breeze. This was nice because I had been traveling for nearly 24 hours, so I was ready to crash. In addition, it was February, middle of winter. In order to make us more comfortable, he had gone out to the room in advance and turned on the heater for us. Very thoughtful. #2: COMFORTABLE ROOMS It seemed as though the room/bathroom had been renovated sometime in the past year. The colors of the paint and fabrics were still bright and fresh, and the bathroom lacked chips and stains sometimes present in other Super-8s. #3: BREAKFAST Breakfast was simple and did the trick. Plenty of coffee and hot water for tea, different types of bread products (sliced bread, English muffins, etc.) and toaster waffles. We will definitely stay there again. Read more

The Super 8 was perfect for what we needed. Not a lot of bells and whistles, just an inexpensive place to sleep and clean up. We went during peak foliage so the view from our balcony was great!

Staff was friendly & Breakfast was good. Overall the Room was average. Bathroom was clean but the musty carpet smell was definitely unpleasant. Carpets really need to be well maintained & clean if you want to make a difference.

there was this unpleasent smell inside the lobby. Pictures are misleading. Nice view of mountains from the room, but room are directely facing toward the main road.

they dont take care of details,outside light full of dead bugs,shabby bathroom,dirt in corners,rust on base board heaters,pealing wallpaper,hair on bath tub,windows almost impossible to open,carpet could use a cleaning....next year ill stay at another place

nice place, clean , the bed are soft, the room are decorated ok. its continental breakfast but there is not really a lot a places to eat... but its the only thing tho. all the rest is great. I was very disappointed to see a less than clean bed cover on one of our beds. Also when we ran the air conditioning it dispersed black debris into the near bathroom. The view was pleasant but the chairs and tables on the balcony were not wiped clean.

We stayed at the Super 8 Motel in Lake George, NY while visiting family for Thanksgiving and it was a very nice experience. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a very easy time checking in and out and the staff was friendly. I recommend this motel to anybody looking for a nice, inexpensive option.

Room was clean and quiet. Used this motel for my hunting trip. If you leave early around 5:00 AM you press the bell outside and someone will come and take your key. This is the early checkout :-). Cable TV in a room. Shower is nice and clean.

The location was great but the fridge did not really keep the food cold . It would have been nice if they had a microwave. I was really surprised that they did not offer breakfast as many of the other hotel/motels along the streets did. The room was odd as the beds were against the wall and the air conditioner was located near the bathroom and did not […] reach the beds to cool the room. The air conditioner also was also loud and noisy. The maid service was good. The check in people were very nice. The beds are very comfortable! It is easy to fall asleep. Room was clean and it was great having a refrigerator! Would have loved a microwave as well. There is a nice kids play area and bbq area behind the hotel! A little noisy when Route 9 traffic starts in the morining, but overall a good experience!

Nice and clean, good sized rooms, its a 15-20 minute walk to the center of Lake George, be careful because the sidewalks aren't great for perhaps a half mile. Friendly staff, continental breakfast with cereal/bagels in the morning.
