"Great if you don't use inhternet."

The Renaissance Boulder Flatiron Hotel was great. There was a great deal of space; it was quiet; beds were good; and our stay was quite enjoyable. "Great getaway"
Overall, this is a very elegant hotel in just about every way. Great room, great service, beautifully decorated. The on-site restaurant, Flatz, was equally impressive. The single flaw in our stay had to be the strange elevator/staircase situation. There are only 2 small elevators for the entire complex...and the very industrial staircase on every floor […] leads outside, not to the loby or lower level where the pool & fitness rooms are. The proximity to the FlatIron Mall was great and we enjoyed the shopping which was our primary focus for this trip. The property is lovely except it is lacking appropriate elevator capacity with only two elevators and no stairwell from the lobby. The hotel makes a great first impression. We enjoyed the BBQ/Jazz night. The food was delicious prepared by the hotel restaurant. It seems many of the local also come to the hotel for a great meal. Our bedroom was rather warm regardless of the 69 degree air setting. It could have been the adjoining bathroom had two doors. "Very, very disappointing"
When we checked in I asked to use a luggage cart and they said the bellman would be out front to help. I began unloading our car and the bellman helped everyone that arrived, except for us. Other customers were allowed to used the luggage cart. I am 65 years old and would of really appreciated a luggage cart or bellman. It took 5 trips to the car for […] me to get my luggage in. "Nice hotel, good location."
Hotel itself is very nice - recently updated, clean rooms, etc. Our only gripe was that the A/C unit in our room didn't seem to work. We set it to 60 degrees before going to bed around 10:30 and woke up sweating at 2 a.m. in an 85 degree room. The hotel itself is beautiful. The location is very nice however it lacks places to eat anywhere close. The front desk staff seemed unhelpful most of the time and were rather rude to our kids. No free Wi-fi except for the lobby area, but you can get it in your room for thirteen dollars per day. Breakfast is fifteen dollars per person. This is not a […] place for families, maybe wealthy businessmen who enjoy wasteing money. The hotel price is reasonable but they ding you for every single thing after that. Four dollars for the bottle of water in the room? I walked one block and got the same one for $1.39 at Wal-Mart. My wife and I both enjoyed our stay there! The staff was friendly, the breakfast was great, and the rooms were clean. The bar had a few local beers that were delicious; especially the Milk Stout! I also enjoyed the iPod dock in the room. I put my iPhone on it and we listened to our favorite music while we got ready in the morning. Very nice hotel with shopping next door, great location about 15-20 min outside Boulder, CO. My wife and I enjoyed the stay but WIFI costs extra, which was a left-down since most hotels offer free WIFI these days. We give it 5 stars because it is just a great place to stay. "Undergoing Renovation"
From the photos and the star rating provided on the hotel website, I thought this would be a nice place for me and my husband to stay for our anniversary weekend. It was a very convenient location. I was a little disappointed that there was no mention on hotels.com or on the hotel's website that they are currently undergoing rennovations. It made for […] a slightly sloppy appearance in the entry of the hotel. Also didn't appreciate the sound of a powersaw to wake up to. The pool and spa were very small. We couldn't even go in the spa because the space was maxed out with 4-5 people in there. Our room was very clean. We had a mountain view king suite, which I thought would have a separate bedroom, but it was all just one large room. It was nice to have the refrigerator. The bathroom was nothing special. Only complaint about the room was that I went to pull a drawer open and the wood face of the drawer came completely off, almost falling on my foot. Luckily I caught it, but would have been very concerned if our small children were with us as it could have easily come down of one of them. I know this review sounds fairly negative, but altogether I would say this is a nice hotel. I would be willing to give it another chance when it is not undergoing rennovations.
