Mayan Inn Daytona Beach

Not what we expected. Loud bar next door rooms are small even in getting a suite with Kitchenette. Out dated. Parking is horrible.

Room was nice. Location was close to the Ocean Center. The only thing I didn't like was the music from the Bar next door to hotel. If I were to stay there again I would ask for a room on the north side of the building.

If they did a little painting and repairs this would be very nice. Our balcony door looked like someone broke in , they should of repaired this before anyone used the room . The staff was very friendly and courtious. They took care of all our requests as quickly as possible. This is my second stay at the Mayan Inn. This year the conditions of the hotel were better than last year but it still shows and feels run down. The beds all need to be replaced and the matteresses were terrible.

I have stayed with this Hotel Many times & as I have said in the Past, this is the Best Hotel in this Area by the Pier for it's money. Both I and my guests in another room were happy with service by friendly stsff at the Mayan Inn. Hotel is a short walk from boardwalk, Good seafood restaurants are a short walk away. Mt guests especially liked the complimentary breakfast served beside window overlooking pool. The staff radiated concern that we have an enjoyable stsy.

Nice, clean, inexpensive hotel right next door to the Ocean Deck Restaurant. Close enough to the Boardwalk to walk and enjoy all it has to offer(shops, dining, movie theater). Before staying there I had read some of the comments of previous customers and they were pretty accurate. While the hotels location is great, the property itself is clean but needs renovation everything seemed aged, worn and kind of dingy that and the stingy continental breakfast consisted of items you may find in a venting machine in sealed plastic […] packages ...but these issues and the bar only open two days on the weekends were my only complaints. My room had a Ocean front facing, very private balcony and that was worth the price of admission by itself. The staff couldn't have been more courteous and helpful ! Read more

THE HOTEL IS TRYING TO DO UPDATES, BUT IT IS A OLDER HOTEL AND NOT ALOT CAN BE DONE TO MAKE IT CLOSE TO NEW. THE ELEVATORS ARE SO SMALL THAT IF SOMEONE USES A LUGGAGE CART YOU CAN ONLY SQEEZE IN 3 PEOPLE; THEY KEEP IT CLEAN AND FOR THE MONEY THE LOCATION IS EXCELLENT

For the price we paid the hotel was fine. The pool wasn't the cleanest and the area around it was kept up well but that was okay because we had the beach right there to enjoy. Room was clean but hotel needs updating. Nice to be right on the ocean front. Booked this hotel as we like to go to the Ocean View Restaurant and Bar next door to hear the bands. Do not book oceanview rooms if you do not want to hear the noise from the bands.They finish at 2pm but unfortunately people in the parking lot were still making a noise till […] 4 in the morning! If you are looking for a cheap hotel this one will do. I won't ever stay there again. The entire hotel is in need of a major remodel. The elevators are very old and slow. Old blue carpeting in my room was in desperate need of being replaced. Had and old musty smell. Pigeons were living on the balcony so you can imagine how gross it was out there.

The "Mayan" is in a great location & is the first Hotel on the South side of the Pier & Boardwalk. You can walk to all the Restaurants and Shops. The Mayan is a older Hotel with a slow elevator so if you like newer Hotels this one would not be the place for you. The rooms are clean, comfortable (beds) and serviced daily. Note that the hotel is next door to the Ocean Deck Bar with live music on the weekends until after midnight. The hotel could use updating, especially the elevators, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. It is also located next to a city park and the beach front was not crowded. The pier was a very close walk.

We booked online & the room we were to get said double ocean view. We couldn't even see the beach! And then they wanted to charge us $20 to 'upgrade' to an oceanview! If you advertise an oceanview room, then it needs to be available when it's booked! Also, the bedsheets had pieces of hair on them when we arrived. And we asked for new sheets which they […] never brought! We asked for some type of compensation for not having the right room available, as well as the lack of service, but they were unwilling to do anything. I will NEVER go there again! And it is NOT a resort! (And they charge an $8 'resort' fee!). Just because you're on the beach does NOT make you a resort! I was VERY displeased and recommend everyone to NOT go there!
