"Good base for Jazz Fest"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012
You will find some mixed reviews of this hotel online. I found it fine. True, it is in an unlovely part of New Orleans, maybe 5 miles or so from the Quarter. True, it is a RV vehicle park as well as a motel. But my room was pretty nice, I had a peaceful stay, it doesn't take long to get around - and if you're going to Jazz Fest and don't want to drive, the bus stops almost outside. I felt safe and happy there, and it's a good deal too.
"Good option"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 30, 2012
Good hotel in great location close to Bourbon Street but away from noise.
"Great Stay"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Apr 29, 2012
Hotel location seems a bit out of the way (In Algiers on opposite side of city centre to Airport so you should plan how to det there from the airport) but it is a 30 minute walk or ($8-$10) 5 minute taxi ride from the ferry that takes you to the base of Canal Street (ideal for French Quarter, Aquarium etc). The Ferry goes every half an hoiur from about 6.00am to 12.00pm, is Free, and takes about 10 minutes. Hotel is in very quiet location and not that well advertised, rooms are fairly basic but clean and have kitchen facilities. Very friendly and helpul at Reception. Free Wifi and reasonable price. Great base from which to see New Orleans.
"Hilton NOLA"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Mar 28, 2012
Great hotel in a lovely old masonic building. Staff were very courteous and it's located in a slightly quieter area only a short walk from Bourbon St. Great happy hour deals on drinks and oysters in the restaurant next door.
"Princ Conti New Orleans"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Mar 20, 2012
This hotel is in an excellent location in the French Quarter, just a few metres from the nightlife, but quiet inside. The staff are very polite and welcoming and the rooms are kept immaculately clean. We did not find the same good service in the cafe, but the service and breakfast in the german cafe across the street is excellent.

"Don't expect to sleep"
Trains nearby sounding horns all night. Manager said he was unaware of this despite other reviews we have now read! Should have believed the reviews. Bed cover had dirty stains. Do Not Stay Here despite the handy location.
"Value for money"
Couldn't fault it for value. Close to airport (walking distance). Helpful staff, 24 hr shuttle, clean etc.
"Solid airport hotel"
Really was a great stopover hotel for an early flight - everything we needed in the room and it was very comfortable and clean. Didn't have much experience of the customer service as it was such a flying visit but what we did get was a swift check-in and check-out which was greatly appreciated. Very very good value.
"Not what I expected- outside access stairs"
I dont think this hotel looked like the pictures. It definitely was not as nice looking in person. I also didn't like that there were outside stairs (what I mean is that you didn't have to come into the hotel or through a lobby to access the rooms- anyone could come up into the hotel). The room was satisfactory and clean, though.
stay was ok but unfortunately you could hear the train passing by so you could not sleep very good

The highlight is being across the street from the airport with an efficient wake up call service and airport shuttle.

Best location for airport and rental car accessibility. Old hotel and used hard. Noisy and sketchy neighborhood though security is on site.
It was very nice
"No problems"
I didn't expereince any of the problems I read about in other reviews. The room was clean and comfortable. Right next to the airport and fine for a single night stay. The front desk staff was friendly.
"Nearest to the airport"
Comfortable and safe

"Hotel near N.O airport"
We didn't have make issues staying here. The big one was get there from airport. I had to call three times and wait 40 minutes. It wouldn't have been bad if it wasn't at 12:00 at night. Then I found out how close it was to the pick up sigh,t which made it worst. I could have walked there in 10 minutes (if I would have know). The only other issues was […] the train. It didn't bother me but it comes a few times a night and it wake the wife up. It is loud. Read more
"Close to Airport, but a horrible place to stay."
I foolishly booked this hotel because of its close proximity to the airport. Since having a late night flight, I thought the location would be ideal, but I was sorely mistaken. Looking back, I should have taken the night shuttle into the French Quarter and saved myself from a dirty and deplorable room.
Overall, a good place to stay. Main complaint is with the quality of the WIFI SERVICE. Weak signa, slow response time.
"Old, not clean and loud people at 3am!"
This hotel was listed as 3 stars in the ratings -- Wow, not accurate! This place is old, dirty and the type of people who stay here are drinking, smoking and VERY loud at 3am. Thank goodness we had to get up at 4am for our flight. Bathroom with hair, soggy carpet, funny smells -- stay away. There are other options also close to the airport that look […] much newer and cleaner! Read more
"It Gets the Job Done"
This hotel has some really nice features and a few that are less desirable. The proximity to the airport is unbeatable.. you could walk it if you really needed to! They also have a shuttle that runs 24/7 for free, just let them know 10-15 mins before you want to leave. The are attached to a Denny's, which is open 24/7 as well, so early morning flights […] are no problem for breakfast as well as late night snacks. The staff were very friendly, and accomodating. The pool is outdoor and good enough for a swim. The rooms were clean, but the comfort of the beds were only so-so. Being close to the airport, made it very noisy from the air traffic - our solution was to keep the airconditioner running constantly, while we were trying to sleep to drown out the noise. This hotel is a $14per person cab fare from the French Quarter/Bourbon Street area (each way) with a 3 person minimum. If you have less than 3 people, the fare will be $34 each way, regardless if you have one or two persons. We were on the ground floor, and there was a significant space between the door and the ground, making me nervous about insect entry, though I did not see any. They served complimentary coffee in the lobby, which is nice and they did have an excercise room. All in all, if you are looking for a basic place to stay before a flight, or after a cruise, it got the job done. Read more
"Great hotel to catch an early flight out"
This hotel is literally located next to the New Orleans airport. Very convenient for a 6 am flight.

"Days Inn NOLA Airport"
Decent location, easy access to airport. Only had two small issues. The outside is being cleaned and painted, which it needs badly, but someone in Long Term parking car alarm went off, all night long, over and over and over. PD showed up but instead of opening door with slim-jim and disconnect battery, they let it blow all n ight long. Rooms decent […] for the price. Read more
Location extremely close to airport Denny's next door - nice comp breakfast Negatives- if you stay on far side of hotel it is noisy because of trains coming through around 3 a.m.
"Hotel for Construction Workers"
This hotel should not be listed for regular folk coming in for vacation. The room looked like Katrina just passed through. The walls were cracked, the ceiling looked as though it was about to cave in. Not pleasant at all.
"Days Inn New Orleans Airport"
Average conditions. Service once we got to the hotel was friendly, trying to get the shuttle from the airport to the hotel proved to be troublesome.
"Days Inn New Orleans Airport"
the staff was very helpful when I needed a copy of my bill after I returned home. I got it quickly and with courtesy.
"Great airport location"
This is a great hotel for a quick overnight stay by the airport. The hotel has a 24 hr shuttle service to the airport terminal located literally across the street. I stayed here instead of the higher priced hotels for the last night and caught an early morning flight. The room was clean and comfortable.
"Close to airport but not sutable for ANYONE"
Not sure how this hotel got a 3 star rating, but it should be revoked. Old, unkept, noisy, overlooks truck parking and on the rail line.Moldy and messy.
"Nice hotel close to the airport"
We stayed at the Days Inn because it was less expensive than the downtown hotels (especially that it was Mardi Gras). As we needed to catch a plane next day, the location was great as it is located just in front of the airport. However, the location is not great if you want to visit New Orleans as it is about 30 minutes drive from the French Quarter […] (about $55 taxi fare). There is also nothing around the hotel. It is though a nice hotel with clean rooms and adequate service. Read more
"just ok"
The water pressure was terrible in the shower. When we called to have it looked at no one came. They don't share with you that there's a bus that goes downtown for $2 so if you don't do your own research you're going to end up spending $33 each way on a cab.

I enjoyed my stay at the Days Inn in Kenner, La. I found the manager, Katherine, the desk clerks and the shuttle driver, Gary to be very attentive to my needs.

"DON'T PLAN ON SLEEPING IF YOU STAY HERE!"
I should have listened to the other reviews about the problem with train horns! Went to bed at midnite then 1am woken, 2am woken, never got back to sleep because of horns after this. Was told by manager that trains were required to blow horns whenever within 800' of a crossing. Never again!
"Great place to stay for quick access to piers"
This was a great place to stay. The people were so very friendly and helpful. They even drive you to any local places for dinner or meals if you wish. They even loaned my husband some tools to fix our suitcase. They were just great. Would stay there again no problem.
"Days Inn Kenner"
VERY Outdated and very dirty. The drywall in the bathroom was wet and had been so for a long time. The bathroom was dirty and moldy, and the bedspread required gloves to remove as it was dingy and had holes in it. The carpet was well worn, and had a tube TV from the early 90's. I stayed here for the convenience to the Airport but wish I would have picked […] a Motel 6. spend $20 more and stay somewhere else. Read more
"Days Inn NO Airport"
Adequate. Noisy because it is too close to the airport.
"Most helpful staff I have met in a long time"
The staff here was extremely courteous and helpful. I needed to return a rental truck and they even sent a shuttle to pick me up.
"Close to the airport"
We stayed here for 1 night after we got off a cruise ship. It was extremely convenient to the airport. Since we didn't have a car, it was not convenient for a choice of eating establishments or anything else. The room was clean and comfortable, though.
"days inn new orleans airport Loud!!!"
Very loud if u want rest forget it. Called front desk 4 times for the commotion outside after midnight they did finally get under control, construction next door at 7 am. Cleaning people hollering cleaning staff in halls by 7:30 am.
"Nothing special"
Basic Days inn near airport. Just used it to sleep. nothing special. Noisy due to airport and traffic
"Only Place"
The Days Inn I booked through Hotels.com is the only place I would stay in New Orleans, LA. The hotel was in tip top shape, very close to the airport and the set for the film I was working on, and very nice staff. When I go back in mid-Feb. I am booking with hotels.com, and staying at the ONLY PLACE Days Inn!
"Days Inn NO Airport - Adequate but..."
Good: lots of rooms, good front desk service, right across from airport entrance, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Not good: If you get in late (after midnight), you will have to park in the Denny's lot around the corner. Also, hotel is located right near railroad tracks. At 2AM, the trains were blowing their horns, and it was VERY LOUD! Overall: […] Convenient but try to get a room near the front desk and don't arrive too late. Read more
"NEVER AGAIN"
I travel for a living and this was the loudest hotel ever!!!! Trains every hour with loud whistles HORRIBLE!!!
"Get what you pay for"
Not a bad price but no frills what so ever. Very old and outdated rooms, bed was not very comfortable, walls were thin, most vending machines were out of order. Hotel staff was very friendly and it is within walking distance to airport if you want to be close. Will not stay there again.

"Noisy"
Located next to New Orleans Intl airport, one can expect airplane noise. However, the number of trains blowing their horns in the middle of the night is something I could have done without after 20 hours of travelling.
