A very nice hotel in a very nice location.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Well located. Very nice hotel."
The common areas of the hotel and restaurant are very nice. The rooms were fine. Nothing special. Staff at the desk was helpful, but not overly friendly. The breakfast was lovely with many choices of food, beautifully presented. They do offer a free walking tour which they failed to tell us was offered in the evening rather than in the morning as indicated […] on the paper they handed us at check-in. We found out by accident that the tour was really in the evening ( due to the very hot weather). They should have been able to give us this correct information at check-in. We also were misinformed about the length of the tour, and we ended up walking over 3 hours and then the tour abruptly ended about 45 minutes from our hotel at 10:30 at night! The hotel is in walking distance of some of the major sites as well as walking distance to the bus terminal which was really handy for us since we were leaving Seville to take a bus to Portugal. "Really great service"
The hotel is solid, and definitely a good value. And listen to this. I left my iPhone 5 in the room, and 5 days later when I realized the phone was missing I called all the different hotels I stayed in. Becquer not only found the phone, but they mailed it back to me in New York. That is a rarity!!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved the pool upstairs! comfy rooms & air conditioning was a blessing.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Easy to explore old town from."
Enjoyable, staff at desk was helpful. Room was large and comfortable. Enjoyed the A/C after being out in the hot weather.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The Center of Seville"
The Hotel Becquer continues to amaze me because it is such a good deal after more then 20 years of visiting Seville, It was a lot more olde world just 8 years ago, now it is loaded with modern touches, for example, I used to love the wrought iron balconies overlooking Calle Reyes Catolico, now they appear to be replaced by a modern face lift, until […] you get to your room and find that the balconies have been upgraded to be enclosed in a near sound proof cocoon that is very insulative, but they still open, over the street. The Hotel has a lovely swimming pool on the roof complete with a reasonably priced bar: be sure to get a photo with La Giraldia in the background. There is a truly romantic salon downstairs for a game of cards or just to hang out. The rooms are spacious, lots of brown wood, walls thin enough to make everyone keep quiet. The breakfast is spectacular by Spain standards, and should be booked in your res. The real values are: 1, The location. One can easily walk anywhere in the old city, in about the same amount of time from Hotel Becquer, because it is so central. It is especially close to world class shopping, 2. The second real value is the staff: many have been there the entire 20 years I have been visiting, and they are committed to helping and professionalism. This is the best hotel I have found in Seville. Say Hola to Antonio at the desk, from Luis. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Near Historic Center"
The staff at the Becquer were very pleasant and helpful, and the location was good -- a very short walk to the cathedral and other lovely sight in old Sevilla. The rooftop view of the cathedral is quite lovely, and there is a pool (albeit tiny). We chose not to buy the overpriced and unappealing breakfasts (choices were continental on the roof or standard […] in the dining room); there are many other options in the surrounding area. Wifi was included and worked well. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel was within walking distance to shopping"
Hotel was close to shopping and historical sites, and resturants Room was small, but clean. Hotel is celebrating 40 years, would not rate it a 4 star, more like a 3 star. Hotel staff not very friendly or helpful. Had breakfast buffet one day, everything was fresh. They had 2 computers to use in lobby, busy most afternoons. Had a bar in lobby that was […] never open. Had liquid soap/gel/shampoo in shower. Best thing about it was location. Taxi from train station to hotel was about 15 Euros. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to sites but just okay."
For parking it's a creepy dark parking garage about fifteen minute walk from the hotel and isn't free. Room was okay but had absolutely no television. They said their satellite was out. It was out the entire day all the way till the morning. No view from hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Enjoyable Stay in a Fabulous City"
The Becquer Hotel was very clean and very good size for our 3 - person family. It was a pleasant walk to all the major sites in Sevilla for shopping, cafes, site seeing and walking -- probably 10 minutes max. We felt very safe walking back to the hotel, even at midnight. Local tappas bars were happy to give directions when we were lost. We would definitely […] return to this hotel and city! Take a cab from the train station, inexpensive. Be sure to do the walking tour recommended by Rick Steve's. Enjoy all the Tapa's bars! ....even snails! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Location was great. Ability to park at the hotel was a reason to stay at this hotel. The staff was nice and helpful. Close to most tourist sites as well as the bridge to Triana to eating places.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel and good location"
Location for business or leisure travel equally excellent. Close to taxi stand, shopping walkable and lots of sight seeing near the river. Plenty of sidewalk cafes near by.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was large and comfortable. The hotel is well located. The staff was friendly and helpful. A good value overall.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Hotel, great location."
Loved the hotel. Actually had a queen size bed! Staff was friendly and helpful and spoke English (always a plus). Had the best breakfast buffet we had found in Spain. Location made exploring Seville easy.Genuine Expedia guest review

The only issue was the temperature of th room an th fan/air conditioning. We were lucky we could open the window an it was cool enough.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Loved the location!"
This hotel was in the perfect location in the heart of Seville. Walking distance to all main attractions and tapas. It was close to everything but was quiet and did not feel too touristy. Also a short walk over the Triana bridge brings you to some of the best and reasonably priced tapas that the locals enjoy.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great hotel, very helpful staff, and great location. Highly recommended!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great deal!"
We chose the location because it is near where my daughter lives, but is well situated for visiting the major sights as well walking across the river to the charming Triana neighborhood. The staff from the front desk to housekeeping could ot have been more helpful. We called down for towels and had them before we hung up the phone. The only gripe-and […] this we found to be true generally in Spain-was spotty wifi service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Excellent rooms, excellent location"
Stayed for one night to park at hotel and experience Seville by walking. Was able to reserve parking in advance, the hotel was easy to find, easy location to walk to attractions and areas. Room was very classy and clean, however a little warm. Never did figure out how to get a/c, just opened the window a little and turned off the heat.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very good hotel to stay for several nights"
The hotel is very close to the city center - 5-8 min to the Cathedral. Room is clean, and rather big. Service in the hotel is very good and all people on front desk helpful. Didn't have breakfast at hotel as In the area around lots of restaurants and bars to eat for 4-5 euros. Taxi from the airport to the hotel costs 25 euros.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to tourist locations"
Nice hotel close to river and sights. Only chair in room was an office chair. It's good for one or two nights.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Perfect in every way"
The only drawback was WiFi problems. Otherwise hotel was perfect location, walkable everywhere; plenty of restaurant options and one of the best breakfast buffets in town!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Super Location, staff extremely friendly and helpful. Food at breakfast superb. Location couldn't be better. I would highly recommend this hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not bad, but certainly not 4*"
In no way a 4* hotel. Its location is central (about a 10-minute walk from the Cathedral), but there are plenty of options that are more central. The nice part about it location is that it's within equal distance of the Triana bars and the Cathedral. The area around the hotel is also quite good and safe. The bathroom was really clean, and also quite […] nice. The rooms are really clean and the staff is nice and friendly. But: - the cleaning lady walked into our room, which I certainly don't expect in a 4* hotel - the AC was not working Overall, not a bad hotel and I may stay here again -- but there was nothing special about it, and it's certainly in no way 4* in my book. It's quite forgettable. One upside: it has a pool on the top with a really nice view of the cathedral -- highly recommended if you're visiting in the warmer part of the year (we visited in February). I guess it gets very crowded though. All in all, a safe choice if you don't want to take a risk and cleanliness and central location is all you require. But don't expect to be amazed in any way, and don't expect 4 stars. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
it was relaxing, and i felt very well taken care of.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel Becquer was comfortable and the staff were pleasant enough. The room wasn't the best we stayed in, but it was far from the worst. They put two people in two single beds without asking. Walls were extremely thin and you could hear everything that went on the other rooms.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We thought this hotel was OK. I felt that this hotel could use some updating. The room we had terrible views and seemed a bit on the small side. The bathroom was nice though! The view from the pool at this hotel was wonderful. There was a variety of delicious restaraunts located within two blocksof the hotel and you could easily walk to the main attractions. We enjoyed our stay in Sevilla, the hotel is 15 minutes to the Cathedral, best route is to walk up to Calle Mendez Nunez and follow to Plaza Nueva, cut diagonally across to the Av. de la Constitucion. "Agreeable Family Accomodation in Sevilla"
We enjoyed a comfortable, well-priced stay here with our 13 year old son, who loved the (small) pool. While the hotel lobby is a bit worn, our room appeared to be recently renovated, and had a spacious and well appointed bathroom. The extra bed was fairly comfortable. We were not sure the location would be ideal - but it turned out to be fine. It is […] about a 10-15 minute walk to the Santa Cruz area, and a 5 minute walk to the riverfront. Handy for exploring the Centro area, too. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Awesome price and location"
This 4 star hotel didn't have a 4 star price. I felt the price was reasonable when booking and a steal once I checked in. I've stayed in many European hotels and have come to expect very small rooms. This room was comparable to the size of an American hotel room but with a luxurious and spacious bathroom. The view from the top floor pool was amazing. We did enjoy staying at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a cool rooftop pool but be aware that on a hot day it will be PACKED.
