It was easy to walk or take a taxi to anything and there was a large mall nearby that allowed us to get essentials easily. We enjoyed our 2 nights in Seville thanks to this Hotel. The hotel staff was very helpful. As other hotels in Europe, this one has a bath tub and a hand-held shower. The tub in my room was so deep that a ladder would have been welcome. For persos with mobility issues, the depth of the bathtub would have been a problem.

Is this the fanciest hotel in Seville? Is it in the most perfect location? Is it the cheapest option? No, No and No. However, for my money I think I got the most bang for my buck at this hotel, We were within quick walking distance of the shopping district, the historic district, Triana, and Most Museums. The area was quiet at night but I still felt […] safe. We were on the same block as many food and cafe options so that we didn't need to go far if we were hungry. The room was big and clean. We had three balconies. The AC worked great. The mini-bar was affordable and fully stocked. The bathroom was big, clean and had a jacuzzi tub. The roof top pool was small but served it's purpose and the view from the roof was great. My only complaint is that many people stated that they had English speaking staff but I didn't find anyone who really spoke English. This was ok for me because between my limited Spanish and hand signals we did fine. And the staff was very nice. I highly recommend this hotel. Read more

within walking distance to just about everything. The rooftop pool was refreshing. There's an unloading/loading spot right in front of the hotel, parking at the hotel or nearby garage if full. They held out luggage when for a few hours after we checked out so we could see a few more sights. Rooms were clean, staff polite.

The hotel was excellent but there were two minor exceptions. 1. The in-room internet service did not work during the 6 days we were there. The lobby internet booth worked but I'd brought a laptop expecting wireless in the room. The wireless didn't work and even the wired service didn't work. 2. The beds were comfortable but there wasn't an option […] for a king or queen size. Instead it was two doubles pushed together. OK, but not as "cozy" as we'd like. Other than the above items the place was marvelous, the location was fantastic and the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely return. I should mention that I never ate at the hotel restaurant since there were many (MANY) places to eat (across the street, down the street or around the corner). But it was comforting to know it was there and that room service was a possibility. There are a few smaller (less fancy & pricey) hotels in the area that are also worth looking into, but Becquer is definitely nice and worth the money. Becquer also has a rooftop pool which is nice, in spite of it more accurately being described as a super-sized hot tub. One last thing is that it's easy to find since it's on a fairly large street. Some of the more quaint hotels in the area are on small winding streets where it's surprisingly easy to get lost, even when you think you know where you're going because you have been there before. Before walking around Seville, get a GOOD map. Read more

Enjoyed a 2 night stay in April and the front of the building is undergoing a "facelift". The balconies were enclosed, making the room absolutely soundproof even on the street side. Location was terrific and walking to the old town area was an easy stroll. Great hotel and location. The room was immaculate and clean and the hotel staff was very helpful. Probably the best hotel I stayed at on a three week trip to Spain. The hotel was within walking distance of everything. Only 10 minutes to the Cathedral and El Alcazar, less than 5 minutes to great shopping, around the corner from tapas bars and restaurants, 2 blocks from the Riverwalk, it was a fabulous place to be. Excellent Location, Close to all amenities, staff very professional. Room was very comfortable and the air conditioning was great considering it was 40C outside. The hotel is in a great location and I found the staff enormously helpful with a variety of requests. The decor of the rooms is slightly dated and they are on the small side but very clean and comfortable. The rooftop pool is great for a few lazy hours in the sun. The hotel is located within a 5 to 10 minute walk of all the main sights. It has secure underground parking, clean, smart rooms, and is great value for Seville. Unfortunately the roof-top terrace and swimming pool were closed when we were there (beginning of February), but we'd definitely return in the spring/ summer to take advantage of them. We had booked this short stay at the hotel as a break within a break, we were at our appartment on the Costa del Sol, unfortunatly the weather did not favour us for our stay it rained, this together with a bad back, put the damper on our visit. The Hotel however provided a refuge from the rain, it was a shame the in house restaurant was closed for renovation […] but they still managed an excellent breakfast. Room 420 did not seem to have been used recently and there was a smell of stale tobacco in the room when we first arrived but it cleared after a while when we ran the air-con. The door between the bedroom and the vestibule did'nt shut properly and neither did the bathroom door. Rooftop pool was very […] nice although became a bit crowded from time to time. One couple with young boy (7 or 8 yrs old) did not take any notice of the no diving notices and allowed the child to jump into the pool which was dangerous and inconsiderate.
