Great location. I had the apartment, which was VERY spacious. Large bathroom & living area. WIFI was also excellent & included. Would stay here again anytime.

I liked the central location. The room was clean and well equipped, though it was laid out a little strangely. It had a small kitchen and nicely equpped bathroom. Free wifi in the room was hard to get going, but for most of the stay there was another network that we got good reception on. (Don't tell anyone.) The TV didn't work, but we didn't much care. […] A burned out lightbulb on the nightstand lamp was replaced immediately after I made the desk aware of it. This hotel is what all "4 Star" hotels in Italy should aspire to be! I had a lovely stay there and could not have been happier. I was only sorry that I had to leave! I would recommend it to anyone traveling to Bologna who looks forward to an adult and upscale stay. Upon arriving I was first offered a room on the first floor which I was aprehensive about […] because I am sensative to noise. I was quickly offered another room and it was perfect. During my stay, I left a credit card at a restaurant at dinner one night and the front desk staff went out of their way to call the restaurant and straighten this issue out. The entire staff was professional and friendly and recommeded wonderful restaurants. The location could not be better; right off The Piazza Maggiore and near all attractions and restaurants. And Bologna....what can I say? I have been all over Italy and really came to Bologna on a whim and discovered that it is one of the great cities and experiences of Italy! Do not miss it if you love Italy, as it is one of the historic and cultural centers of this incredible country and a beautiful city with lots to learn about and see. And the food...Mamma Mia. There are many wonderful things about this hotel. The staff are excellent - friendly, pleasant and ready to help. They made check-in very fast and overall were very nice. The room is also very good: the bathroom was upgraded, beds were comfortable (I had a "double" made of two singles combined which worked out fine) and the mini-bar refrigerator was […] a pleasant surprise since it's not common in many places I've stayed in Europe. The location of the hotel, on the edge of Piazza Maggiore, is also a good benefit, but might have a slight drawback to business travelers. The only "issue" was the noise in the street. The hotel across the street (which is really an Italian alley) has a garage there, so there is car noise if your room faces the street. At night there are many people who just linger outside, talking loudly. Also, there is a lot of delivery traffic and students in the street until late at night, especially on weekends (it is a University city, after all). Now, if you're going for vacation and don't mind a late night (you might even be out enjoying the fun!) it's ok. But since this is a "classic" Italian hotel with single-pane windows, business travelers might want to ask for a room with a different view, or choose somewhere further from the center just a little bit. It was the only drawback, but for some, it may not matter. Overall, it was a great stay and a solid hotel for the price range - especially in comparison to the other choices in the area. Read more

This little hotel is right in the middle of the best part of Bologna for visitors. You can walk to everything historical and also participate in local things that make you feel right at home. The bowl of apples and the espresso machine in the lobby are nice amenities and the Farina restaurant is very good for a glass of wine or a dish cooked in the […] "slow food" style. We used our GPS system to find this hotel. Don't know how we would have ever found the location without it as the hotel is on a narrow side street. Location is close to the main sights. A good breakfast is included in the price. Parking is not included; we had to pay separately for an off-site garage.

For a four star, this place could do better. The staff was pretty ordinary with one or two exceptions, the breakfast room is disorganised and runs out at 9 o'clock (despite being said to operate till 10) and the rooms are small and plainly furnished. The Hotel was in an excellent position. Most Restaurants seemed empty until about 9pm so not a lot of atmosphere if you eat earlier. Considering Bologna is reported as the Gastronomic centre, we were rather disappointed and would not recommend going for the food.

The hotel is near the airport which is one of the reasons we chose it, but would not have been able to find it without a sat nav. We arrived late and although we got checked in quickly enough and were given car parking space via the hotel, it was a bit of maze to get there without help. On return to our apartment that night we could not get past the […] second locked gate, our room was not adjoined to the hotel itself and this then led to at least an hour of trying locks, different keys and endless trips in and out of elevators in the gargage where our car was parked. We had more of a clue about where our room was than the guy on duty. Not amused especially as it was after 3am by the time we eventually got into our room, and we couldnt get food as everywhere was closed. Maybe the hotel should issue maps for guests to their apartments and ensure that the keys they issue actually fit the right locks!!. Our apartment was spacious and clean and it would have served as a good base if we had been staying in Bolgona for more than one night. Thankfully things only got better as we travelled around. There was a very cheap coffee shop in the complex which served delicious expresso and chocolate croissants the next morning. Read more
