The owners seem to be scrimping pennies and losing dollars. Short staffed at the desk and in maintence and housekeeping. Needs ventilation in bathrooms, light switches seem jury-rigged. Breakfast nothing to write home about.

Great for an overnight stay. Close to I-81. Not far from exit. Staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast in the morning was sufficient, they have the basics, coffee, juice, cereal. toast bagels, eggs, waffles, pastries and other goodies. If you want an inexpensive, comfortable, convenient place to stay. This is it.

When your paying a rate of $50.00 or less per night you can't expect perfection. Overall the property is nice. Large spacious rooms, good heat/ac, clean room, comfortable bed, nice mountain views, strong Wifi. I'm not picky and when I travel alone I travel cheap. The room was clean but the ceiling in the shower had pealing paint. I couldn't get a wake-up call because their phone system was down. The hot breakfast was ample but hot is not how I would describe it.

Very good firm mattress and a quiet night stay. That's all we needed and this hotel provided it. It also has free breakfast and wi-fi connectivity. Also a nice view of mountain range in distance. All and all a good place to stay. I would recommend it.

The bed was way to hard. The heater did not work very well at all. It barely raised the temp from reading 60 to70 degrees. That was over night. The tv changed channels by two channels each time I press the up or down on the remote. The room atmosphere was typical for a cheap place to stay, unfortunately.

When we checked in, there was a sign that said no vacancy. Front desk advised there was no water but should it in a few hours. Went to the room which was 47 degrees. We turned the heat on high but by morning it only got to 65 degrees. Front desk called after we went to bed to advise there would be no water even in the morning. I am really concerned with this hotel. I just joined hotels.com and this is the first place I stayed with them. We reserved a specific type room and did get it. Unfortunately no one told the receptionist that this time of the year not to put anyone on thr 3rd floor because of the temperature and lack of a heating unit in the rooms. We turned the heater […] on at 8pm and there was no increase room temperature by midnight. We we to the front desk and was given 4 keys to check other rooms to see if their heaters worked any better. After doing so we return to the front desk and someone different is now working. We state our situation calmly and get the worst attitude from the new worker. He stated that our room should not have been given to us and acted like it was our fault that we were there and asked about getting a warm room. He stated that he lived on the 3rd floor and he has a space heater that helps ! ? ! ? Sorry I am traveling and didn't think that I should have to bring a space heater with me to stay warm in a hotel room ! ! We were finally moved and stayed cold all night !...to top it off the beds were hard as rocks and the ice machine didn't work(like I really needed a cold drink right ?). The room we reserved had not been cleaned since the last occupant, and the only room offered to us was not the type of room we had requested. The hotel staff was very helpful and courteous. Liked the noon check-out time. But...the room telephone did not work; the bathtub backed up to our ankles during a shower; the door was tricky and difficult to open; the room had a musty odor, which did go away after turning on the a/c; only one ice machine worked; laundry facilities need updating.

I was very pleased and comfortable overall with my experience aside from the fact that the cable included had very limited channels and available on a very old television and the location of the hotel itself was very isolated which was unsettling if you are unfamiliar with the area. I've seen this hotel from glances while driving on I-81 in the past and always thought it would be nice to stay since it had the perfect vantage point over the southern end of the Salem Valley. I booked the upgrade at no additional cost. Note; UPGRADE means VIEW. We got exactly what we booked, no issue there. Ash trays were IN the room already - bonus! Towels - small, bathroom - very small: tango to close the door to sit on the unstable toilet, TV Remote - ON/OFF/Volume UP. Front desk switched out batteries while we went to dinner and offered to move us to another room if that didn't work (no thanks, i'm to lazy for that) tried the remote with replaced batteries (no go). The beds - >>FIRM<< (my back was NOT a fan). In the AM we went to inspect the breakfast that is offered at the crack of dawn (6:00a) and shortly thereafter closed (9:00a) however check out isn't until NOON?!? We arrived at 8:45a, not really impressed with the leftovers, We informed the front desk clerk about the remote as a helpful measure, not looking to get our money back (which i think he was afraid we might try and i'm sure people try to do). The room needed new carpet and additional cleaning around tub. That being said, the front desk person was very nice, it was convenient and inexpensive. It was just a place for me to sleep while visiting my dad at the hospital. Breakfast in the a.m. was free and pretty good.

We stayed a single evening. The hotel was an older one, but had a nice view. Some of the electrical fixtures were detached from the wall, and the lampshades were brittle. Continental breakfast was excellent and there was a good shower. Good rate and you get what you pay for.

Couch in room was very stained. Nasty!!!! No coffee maker in room but the nice lady at the desk made sure I got one in the room. Quality of picture on the television was poor. Had double vision watching the game.

The rooms were nicely appointed, and most importantly clean. But the exterior c of the place, especially the elevator, was dirty and grungy. Had it not been late at nite when I checked in, I probably would have stayed elsewhere.
