nice hotel on a very good stretch of beach for children's swimming

You are at the party center of Chaweng Beach at this hotel. Some of the rooms may get noise from the all night party music just 500 yards down the beach. We requested a quiet room and stayed near the lobby, back from the beach but my 20 somethings slept until 2pm easily each day. Easy walk to music, nightlife, stores, tourist operators...massages on site at beach's edge. There were flights maybe once an hour during the day, flying directly overhead but in paradise you do not notice them. The hotel had nice area to lounge by the pool/ocean with padded chairs and the breakfast/restaurant was on the shore as well so you could work outside at a table. The WIFI costs extra money so that was disappointing.

This is the second time staying here, and it was as good as the first. The pool villa is nice and right on the beach. Great to cool off in a private jacuzzi pool looking over the Gulf on a hot, sunny day. The only problem was all the mosquito that would feast on us. They need to spray the room with repellant or have an oil repellant candle in the room. Last year they sprayed the room daily or every other day, this year it was not sprayed. But still really enjoy staying here and look forward to next time.

Along the pristine shores of Choeng Mon Beach, this Ko Samui island resort is 4 km (2.5 mi) from the airport and 7 km (4.5 mi) from Chaweng Town.
Hotel Features.
This beachfront hideaway features two themed pools, the Imperial Spa, a dive shop, and a wide array of aquatic activities. A boat-shaped bar stands by the boat-shaped pool. The nautically themed Captain's Choice restaurant is situated by the beach, while the Boat Café overlooks the terrace and garden.

Manao Bar - Adjacent to lobby. Live music nightly by musicians from the Philippines. Happy hour every evening. Snacks, local beers, tropical cocktails, and other drinks served from afternoon until late.
Pool Bar - Boat-shaped bar opposite the boat-shaped pool. Offers snacks and drinks from mid-afternoon until late. Specialising in seafood snacks and tropical cocktails. Sits adjacent to Captain's Choice Restaurant and the beach.
The Imperial Boat House Hotel has a fitness room with strength training machines, free weights, and stationary bikes. A PADI Gold Dive Centre offers introductory SCUBA classes in the pool, as well as open water diver certifications, and a children's introduction. Snorkelling, sea canoeing, and windsurfing equipment is available free of charge to guests. The garden swimming pool features monkey statues spurting streams of water into the pool, with an ornate elephant motif gate. The second, larger pool, is shaped like a pirate ship and flanked by water squirting cannons. There is also a games room with table tennis and snooker on site.
On Choeng Mon Beach, in front of the hotel, there are opportunities for water sports, including jet skiing and motor boating.

+ Two pools, (one beside the beach). + Small gym. + Interesting boat theme for some rooms and for beach-side pool (it's right there in the name after all). + Great breakfast. + 24-hour store (Family Mart) across the street for much cheaper drinking water than the hotel provides. + Beautiful beach, clean seawater. + Taxi rank also right outside hotel […] (if for some reason hotel cannot get you a cab). - Ask for pick-up at Samui airport. "Hotel at a wonderful beach"
Very confortable and luxurary stay in a boathouse suite. Room was clean and funny, cause it was built with an wooden boat and the boat suites are located right beside the big pool area at the beach front. Around the hotel there are lots of massage offices, restaurants and 7 eleven stores. Beach was great and have no problems with low tide (southern […] part of Samui has very low tide in the afternoon). Breakfast buffet was legendary with fine food and fresh fruits. Hotel very well situated near the beach, very nice sandy beach, quiet location in Koh Samui, only 10mns away from Chaeng Hotel is well maintained, large and confortable room, the garden is lovely, the pools are nice The food is very good and reasonably priced. Overall I had a very nice stay there. Higle recommended.
"Perfectly placed for a relaxing holiday"
The Imperial Boat House is a lovely hotel set in lush gardens. The beach is of fine sand with just enough restaurants and and activities to make it a perfect family holiday. They did get a bit confused about supplying room towels as clean one would often not turn up until about 4 pm and then not a complete set. Howevery things got sorted out. "Beautiful Boat rooms, Tranquil place"
Stayed a week in a Boathouse, Feb 2012. These now restored and refurbished suites, are truly unique, have great character, and great space on 2 floors, plus privacy, and a balcony. Housekeeping impeccable. The upgrade of these Boats is now done, and makes them really great . The grounds are gardens are beautifully kept, pool and beach side clean, well […] staffed. It is peaceful and quiet, ideal if you like a beach stay and away from Chaweng, for which you need a car or taxi. The hotel itself is stylish, but simple, it supports your stay as you want it to be, does not try to market you anything or interfere as many hotels do. The recent new Dutch Manager is friendly and clearly relaxed, and looks after his teams well. The boat suites are a unique, and wonderful Thai character, and well worth booking above all else, and they have good deals through many agents for these, Don't miss out on them! Frukosten var helt underbar, servic e, fria solstolar shuttel gratis till Chavweng m.m. Vi har tittat på olika siter på nätet och skillnaden från att boka med Hotels skillde nästan halva priset, […] vi jämnförde med svenska bolag. Vi förstod att vi bokade i rätt tid, kollade igen på hotels.com när vi var där och då skillde det 500 svenska kronor per natt jämnfört med vad vi betalade, så vi måste ha fått det jättebilligt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und haben ein für unser Jubiläum wunderschön dekoriertes Zimmer inkl. Sekt und Kuchen erhalten. Besonders zu nennen sind die wunderbar freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Mitarbeiter. Das Hotel renoviert die teureren Suiten, davon bekommt man aber nichts störendes mit. "Boat House"
It's a great and large (really large) hotel on Choeng Mon beach (probably our favourite beach on Samui). The resort restaurant however is overpriced and not so good. Explore the thai food-places on the street or for an even greater experience the ones on the beach. Kirati was over favourite, highly recommended both for food and staff.
