though the prices seemed more like a four-star. (The room rate was highest in the middle of the week and lowest on the weekends.) The huge hotel was ok for a 3-star, The biggest negative was that the rooms were very hot, and there was no temperature control. Either franks or meatballs, two types of hot cereal, teo tupes of cold cereal, assorted cold meats and cheese, canned fruit, a few types of coffee cakes and rolls. I had dinner in three of the several in-house restaurants, The pizza was good, the CHinese restaurant was so-so, and the coffee shop was ok as well. Fortunately, I had recommendations regarding nearby (less than 30 minute walk) because the hotel staff was useless. There was a Metro stop aross the highway, via an underpass. I booked this hotel for my parents and they were very satisfied! The room was very good, bed was very comforatable and the hotel staff was very nice and helpful. In the morning they had a wonderful breakfast and it took them only 5 min to get to the metro station.

I booked renovated room and king size bed in this hotel before my trip..When i entered hotel the girl in reception gave me a room which is not renovated, inside room there was twin bed and non-smoking room..i went the reception desk and i told this girl about the situation, and wanted her to change the room, she replied as there is no room available […] with king bed, and added "tomorrow we can change the room"..after 1hour later i went the reseption desk again and told the situation another girl in reseption and my room is changed..and the second girl suprised about the behavior of first girl..if there was renovated room and king size bed and second girl gave this room, it means first girl lied..very bad acting to a guest Read more

Hotel is very large and has lots of shops and restaurants. Service in the pizza restaurant in the lobby is very slow on 2 nights we were there even though the restaurant wasn't crowded. 1 hour to get a Hamburger served! Staff was courteous and security quite good. Modern hotel and modern rooms. I would stay there again.

I stayed several times at this hotel and last time was my last. The hotel needs maintenance. The room I stayed in did not have air conditioning. It was hot in the room and the only way to sleep was to keep the window open which faces a loud and busy street. The bed was not comfortable. Restaurants were terrible (food and service). Could not charge room service to your room, had to pay cash every time. Rooms were older including the furniture, the bed was not the most comfortable. The cleaning staff was good. Would only recommend this hotel if you can not afford anything else. There are much nicer hotels that are reasonably priced here in Moscow that you can stay at.

This is 2nd time I stayed @ this hotel. Restaurant/Bar is decent. Front desk is a madhouse. Internet is slow & you get it by buying cards. Location is good because Metro is right across the street. Lively place. Service is the worst. I left laptop power cord in room, called & was told they had it & to come to lost & found. When I went 2 hotel, after […] politely asking 2 women, I was sent 2 transportation girl that told me I could buy a cord at their shop. I explained that I had called already & was just coming to pick it up. She told me that she wished that my contract was up & that I had to go home. Said "We don't want you in our country.. Why don't you just go back to where you are from". A real class act. Needless to say, I never got power cord. Hotel is huge & always has rooms available. 2 small beds that are thin. I used 1 blanket from 1 bed to cover me because I wanted 2 add thickness 2 other bed. All but 1 station was in Russian, but CNN station flipped & often went out. The hotel is old, mainenance is avarage. Personal will not notice you are there. In the evening reception if full with hmmm... ladies. The only good thing is VDNKH expo center being in front of the hotel. Food in hotel is unreasonably expensive. Do not get late for breakfast or you'll be waiting half an hour in line for open buffet.

Very close to the Moscow Metro station and additonal public transportations. The Hotel Theater is an excellent opprtunity to have a glimpse of the cultural activity in Russia. Nice hotel, plenty of restaurants and souvenir stores inside. The fitness center is very well equipped, but its use is not included: it costs around $30/person to enter the facility. After 8.0ppm the lobby is full of (upscale) prostitutes.

Checkin was a breeze. Some of the amenities listed on the hotel page were not offerred. There were no robes, tea/coffee maker, and the air conditioning did not have a thermostat in the room. I do like the location of this hotel. It is very easy to take the VDNH metro station to access any part of Moscow. Be warned though that this area is about 20 minutes […] by metro from the center. I also liked the fact that there was a convience store located right across the hotel. WiFi access can be had for about 10 USD for 1 hour. A better option would be to walk down to the McDonald's near the hotel and use the free WiFi there. The room I was given had a great view of the "All Russia Exhibit". One thing that I did not like about the room was that it was dated and the carpet and furniture had seen better day. All in all this hotel is one that I would recommed as a value hotel if you can find it at the right price. Read more

I have been with Hotels.com for many years and exclusivly book all my personal and business travel thru this site. I have always found the service and property to meet the detailed information provided and recieve what I expected during my stay. not this time, the room booking I made for re-furbished room with Wi-Fi is not recognised by the property […] and after many hours over many days trying to get a upgraded room with Wi-Fi I lost my argument. No room that had been cleaned up or re done in the past 15+ years and no free WiFi. The level of service not only for my self but other guest was shocking that no one would try to serve the guest. Every reply was sorry, I know that is what the hotel book said but we do not offer this. If you do not speak russian you are in for even more issues. FYI there is NO 24 hour food on this property, there is no late night drinks in the Pub only the night club with a high cover charge and high drink prices. very disapointed with the property and the information from hotels.com on this site. If you want to stay in an hotel that is massive (1800+ rooms), unfriendly, over priced , average comfort rooms where many are tired and in need of a good make over, where the only free internet is in the lobby, that is so slow during peak times (800RUR [16GBP, 18EURO] for 3 hours in your room). i am a frequent traveler staying at hotel around Europe every week from Monday to Thursday, so i think of myself as an experienced traveler. I have stayed at the cosmos hotel because of its location close to a conference in was attending. the hotel is huge with about 20,000 rooms. the lobby was always full of groups, never a place to sit and use the […] internet (free WiFi) that was free only at the lobby (but very very slow ). the only time i was able to work with resemble speed was at 2 AM with only girls looking for work around me. to enter the elevator you has to identify yourself (i don't know if this is good or bad).breakfast was terrible. the room, even when i reserved a "renovated room" it was very very old looking, the bath was from the 70s (at best) and the bed felt very old as well. the only nice thing was the view from the 16th floor. to convert money i paid about 20% more then regular exchange. i will defiantly not stay at this hotel. i will look for a better hotel even if it is not located need the exhibition area (the underground trains in Moscow are amazing Read more

Went for 4 day city break with my wife. We booked a 1 King Bed room but got two singles, so I would advise to confirm your room type when checking in. Food was good, we only had breakfast but cost of evening meal 800R per person which is good. Good location at BDHX Metro so cheap and easy to get to centre with no need for taxis.
