"Gewoon leuk hotel"
Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Spirit of the Irish"
12/01/14 Lauren B Boston, Massachusetts
My boyfriend and I came here for Thanksgiving wknd. What a delightful surprise! The Irish Village is conveniently located near Hyannis where there is a cute downtown strip as well as a mall. We were here in the cold weather, however for beachgoers who choose to come in the summer, the location is close to lots of beautiful beaches. The rooms surprised me! They were big suite like rooms. There was a bedroom as well as a sitting area with a couch and TV. The room could certainly sleep a lot of people if need be. The room was also nicely styled and had a balcony. It was spacious and welcoming. Comfy beds also. What really struck me was the SPIRIT at this hotel/ restaurant. It is evident the staff is proud to be working there and they are all very accommodating/ respectful which was refreshing. There was Irish live music at night at the restaurant and there was quite a crowd attracted. There was a true spirit of Irish Culture here that I really appreciated. Although modest, this place certainly has a charm about it. The carpets throughout the halls were older, however in the rooms were updated. The food is good, not great, however the experience is worthwhile. Also FYI, no internet throughout the hotel, only the lobby.
"What a dump"
I think this was a grosser hotel than any motel 6 I've ever been to. Nothing has been updated for decades. The carpet is threadbare and dirty; the bedspread/comforter was exceptionally hideous and certainly nothing I wanted to snuggle up in this morning or last night; the tissue & toilet paper was hard and thin; the old school tube TVs were small; thug didn't have coffee pots in each room... I know it sounds like I'm harping on every tiny detail but it was SUCH a disappointment. Once we put our bags down in the room and took a look around, we realized that they have not invested a single penny into ensuring the comfort of their guests. If there was a chance we could've gotten our money back we would gone right back to the office and found another place to stay.

I recently brought a large group of traveling "Yoopers" to the Irish Village. The experience was wonderful. Tommy was over the top accommodating as was all of the staff. Our breakfasts were great and the Lobster meal off the chart. Great pool and hot tub. Great bar with wonderful entertainment. Highly recommend to all travelers. This will be my only hotel in the Cape for now on. It could a little updating.

"Weekend at Irish Village"
10/15/14 Maggie S Newark, New Jersey
My friends and I have been visiting the Irish Village for over twenty years and have never been disappointed. We first visited at the original location and enjoy the new hotel even more. The entire staff including Tom, housekeeping, bartenders and the front desk could not be more accommodating. Dining there is wonderful with a full menu and includes weekend evening entertainment. Highly recommend to anyone who wants an enjoyable time at an extremely reasonable rate. If I could make one change it would be to relocate the Irish Village to New Jersey! Maggie Schoch
"Spent 4 nights here on Cape Cod"
10/09/14 Ren B Saint Joseph, Michigan
We recently toured Cape Cod with a group and our entire group stayed at the Irish Village. We ate our breakfasts and 2 dinners here before and after our day trips to various locations on the Cape. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The appearance of the hotel was very "worn" and in due need of "freshening". The food was average at best. If you just need a place to sleep while visiting the Cape this is probably a good option. There was wifi only in the lobby and we found this to be very inconvenient.

It wasn't a bad hotel, I thought the rate was a bit high for what is offered but I guess that is typical for Cape Cod. The restaurant was decent and they have a nice indoor and outdoor pool. It was close to everything. The rooms were basic but large. Ours had a sitting room and deck which was unexpected and nice. But I still thought it was a bit pricey overall.

My family of 6 had a great time. The food was great, clean rooms and great price. Irish entertainment to boot. The staff were extremely courteous and helpful; especially Tommy. What more could you ask for? Everyone we met were regulars and return each year. I hope to see many of them next year!
