Me and family were just passing through and decided to stay with Sonoran for a night. For the price of a hotel, we received a 2BR condo with kitchen and fully equipped. Was a great value and had plenty of room--great pool also. Certainly look forward to coming back

Our experience with Sonoran Suites was awesome! It was the perfect place to stay for a family vacation as it was a great rate and was very spacious. It was so nice having our own kitchen to be able to make our own meals. We saved a ton that way! We will be using Sonoran Suites again.

This is actually a residential area in the heart of Scottsdale. Units are huge with full kitchen (like an apartment). Perfect for our family and great pool on site. Kierland Commons across the street is very nice. I would certainly recommend.

We arrived around midnight and didn't realize this was a time share/condo, so it was a bit confusing. We got hold of the night attendant by phone and he helped us get all the information needed to access our room. Also, we made the reservation on the road so we hadn't prepared for taking advantage of all the benefits associated with a two bedroom condo, […] vs a hotel room when traveling with a family. So after we woke up the next morning, having a good night sleep, we saw the beautiful pool with waterfalls, beach volley ball and tennis courts we realized that this would be a great place to stay for more than just a few nights. Next time we will come prepared to BBQ and take advantage of all the other amenities. The kids were happy since they had a DVD player to watch movies on and we were happy since we had our own private room. This was our first time in Scottsdale, so I can't comment too much on location, but it seemed that everything was with 10-15 minutes from us and easy to access. Read more

Had a nightmare in the checking in process... What people need to know about this place! There is no one on site to check you in..Your on your own! We made our reservation on the morning of our stay..Hotels .com nor Sonoran suits mentioned anything about receiving an e-mail in regards to the checking in process needed to get your room!!!!!! We drove […] around trying to find the property...Even though we had the address, the name does not match the property..Something that needs to be posted when making the reservation!!!! Sonoran suites is really Traditions at Kierland.Not to be confused with Legends at Kierland which is next door,and may be one of their properties they deal with as well? It''s all confusing!! So is there,or where then is Sonoran suites?? So once I called Sonoran Suites for help, they were very helpful in getting checked in...However i think the main problem is they e-mail you the check-in information after you make your reservation.But it needs to be stated at time of reservation that you will be receiving an e-mail for check-in instructions. Not everyone has an I-phone or computer access 24/7.. That's what the real problem is!!! And they need to realize that, and be more clear in regards to check-in... Property is nice!!!!! Read more

This "hotel" is really more like a timeshare. It's made up of apartments in a very large complex. There's no daily maid service and no check-in desk. After filling out info online and faxing copies of a driver's ;license and credit card, you'll be given a code for the front security gate and key box at front door. A map of the complex and directions […] will be sent online. Make sure you print out the one that's legible - the first one I saw was unreadable. Check out is 10:00 a.m. That being said, our unit was spacious and well maintained with a full kitchen. Although it was supposed to be a one-bedroom unit it actually had two bedrooms and two full baths. For a family it would really be ideal! And all for the price of a hotel room. Read more

I had a nice 2 bedroom apartment for considerably less than a room at the Westin across the street. If you don't need daily maid service, this is a great value. My only issue was my towels were wet when I arrived. The problem was quickly rectified and the rest of my stay was excellent. Beware the undisclosed $35 cleaning fee.

This is an apartment complex. There is no front desk. Instead, they give you a lock box code to get the keys. It was hard for me to feel relaxed, as you are basically staying there amongst the residents. The room was clean and had everything that was needed.

This place is a timeshare joint that rents empty rooms. No office, no services and make sure you read the tiny small print. You will get charged an additional $35 for cleaning that they don't tell you about until after you book it. It's inside a locked gate, could not even get a cab to come pick me up. Just go find a real hotel.

Took the family for a couple nights and had a great time. Kierland Commons is right across the street, plenty of restaurants/dining close by. Unit was large and comfortable and we were able to check ourselves in. Staff was friendly and took care of us. We will be back when in the area!

The air conditioner was turned off so when we got to the room it was 90 degrees and it took over 3hrs to cool it down. They charged me an extra 35.00 that was not on the agreement until after you booked the room and they would not credit it back to me. I will never stay at a Sonoran Suite again

WOW. Great place to stay!! Can check in via email, very nice complex, quiet and fun all at once. Fantastic pool area and the gas grills throughout made a nice addition to the menu!! Definitely recommend and will return!!

I will stay here again -- it was a good value and very nice location. My suggestions are 1) streamline the reservation/access process, and 2) provide lighting on the outside of the buildings - when we arrived at night, it was difficult to discern the correct building/unit without a flashlight.

I went to Scottsdale for a funeral, I selected the hotel/condo via www.hotel.com everything was done online. I got there and to my surprise instead of a one bdrm king we had a 3 bdrm king, with a full kitchen, dining, and livingroom. Checkin was via internet no hassels the place was wonderful. Extremely unpleasant experience.I have reserved a suite at Sonoran through hotel.com and received a confirmation nr from hotel .com telling me that I do not need to call Sonoran for confirmation. Hotel.com did not gave me the suite nr. although my credit card was charged when I have made the reservation.I arrived at 3 pm for check-in at the given address […] provided by hotel.com. This property is not named Sonoran and there is no Sonoran office there. The woman working at the leasing office on this property told me upfront that she is not working for Sonoran, therefore cannot help me and the office will close at 5.30pm. I had to call personally Sonoran and wait for 1.5 hours to talk to someone, being disconnected several times. Finally I spoke with customer service where Ann was very helpful and after another hour I was able to speak with the manager,Justin.He told me the nr of the suite assigned for me on this propert and where to find the key. He did not even apologize to me for all this inconvenience. The apartment was 10 min walking distance from the entrance and it was no lighting system on the property. The advertised pool inside the property was closed and it was no staff available on the property after 5.30pm. In the apartment I found a note stating that I will have to clean the apartment including taking out the garbage prior checking-out by 10am otherwise I will be charged $ 50. Another note from the cleaning lady was saying that"any tips are appreciated". Tips for what?I have stayed only for 3 nights but no one ever changed the towels in the bathroom. Definitely, not worth it the money and the stress/effort of getting the apartment I've payed for in advance. Read more

Rented a 3BR/2BATH unit for the night and was pleasantly surprised. The property is well located in the North Scottdale Kierland area next to plenty of restaurants/dining. There were ants on kitchen counter I left a piece of fruit n 2 hrs later was covered in ants. Fitness rm was not accessible to us when we were told it was. I got 2 twin beds that were not great quality or comfortable . I was told a had a choice of queen or king beds not twin beds w/o headboards.

The place was nice, the only complant was that the unit we stayed in had ants. We found an ant crawling on our babys head after we gave him a bath. It must have gotten on the towel or something. There was more in the Kitchen area. Other than that all was fine.
