I was disappointed in my stay. The maids did a poor job cleaning my room. They wouldn't clean out the coffee pot, replace the coffee, vacuum, etc. One night they just skipped cleaning it altogether, and when I mentioned it at the front desk and asked for towels they just replied, "oh, really?" My non smoking room smelled heavily of smoke. I had to ask […] for two days before I got a shower curtain. The internet never worked, for four days, and they had no explanation other than people have trouble with it. It is a place I would only stay if I just had to. Read more

The room was clean, mattress was very uncomfortable. Disapointed with pool, it was not very clean and area had a smell like wet dogs, Friendly and helpful staff.

The bathroom was in poor condition. The vinyl lfooring was old and discolored around the toilet and tub indicating water damage in those areas. The bathtub wwas chipped and the caulking was old and stained.

For the class of hotel/motel the room was well maintained. The bathrooms show some wear and tear but are clean. Newer management is really putting in an effort to have a well run small, budget establishment. Good Job!

I stayed at the Tillicum Inn twice in the same week. The first stay was pleasant and the room was very nice. On my return visit, I had a different room that had sagging beds and a door lock that wouldn't have kept out a determined toddler. I stayed the 2nd time because my first stay was so pleasant, but the 2nd night was very uncomfortable.

This is a great hotel. The beds are very comfortable and the room is quiet. I heard no noise from the other rooms and the street. Water pressure in shower was incredible.

This Motel only has two downsides to me.. the TV is a bit dated and small.. but quite usable. The bathtub area is a bit worn with age.. but again.. clean.. serviceable and hot water is available. This is a great little motel for the money! The room was comfortable and looked great. The bathtub did looked a little worn and when you operated it, the hot water was reversed from the posted handle.. but that is only a minor consideration. The room is supplied with a efficient heater/air conditioner, ice bucket, small coffee pot, microwave and a small fridge. What more can you ask for a simple but efficient room at a great price? The place was clean and quite. The pool was sparkling clean and cool on a very hot afternoon. Even the hopping bar next door was no problem as some have suggested. My only complaint was the attitude of the front office woman, business like but not at all friendly which made my wife and I not feel very welcome.

The lady at the front desk is rude. She charged me $3 tax on top of what displayed on my reservation. Everybody knows there is no sales tax in Oregon. Wireless internet is broken. The lady refused to fix it when informed of the problem.

We were ready for something pretty awful with the low price, but the hotel was quiet, the bed was comfortable, the water pressure was great, the room was clean...and the wireless internet was excellent, better than that I get in relatively expensive hotels. The woman at the desk wasn't overly friendly, but she was polite and efficient. Yes there's […] an exotic dance place next door, but even when you're *inside the bar*, it isn't obvious. Half the bar is just a "regular" bar; there's a separate door and a curtain, (plus a cover charge) to the dance part. If we hadn't known it was there, we *wouldn't* have known it was there, it was that discrete. We liked this place well enough that we stayed there again on our return home during this trip. The swimming pool was not clean nor were there chairs and lounges to use so if you are wanting to swim you will want to stay somewhere else. For me, I had a clean comfortable room and a TV to watch for the short time I was in my room. Don't plan to sleep late as trains and trucks will wake you before 6 am. Also, my 6:15 am wake up call did not come […] until 6:23 so it was a good thing I was already awake. the refrigerator was nice and quite and the freezer compartment worked well. My business stay was for only a night but could have stayed a week. Bed very comfortable. Desk clerk very helpful and pleasant. Rates for faxing were very surprising. Low. Room was clean and comfortable. Resturant within walking distance and also adult beverages. Lock and Dam were interesting to see. We were pleasantly surprised at the Tillicum. After reading the hotels.com reviews we were a bit apprehensive. The outside of the building is frozen in 1960's architecture, but don't let that dissuade you. The room was great -- on a par with a Holiday Inn. Very clean. And the sports bar next door (with presumably an exotic dancer) was quiet and well […] behaved. We would stay there again. I wouldn't recommend staying in the other 2 Umatilla hotels. They looked creepy. By the way the burger place a couple blocks west is great and open until 9 pm. Also, they deliver. Read more

This was a clean, quiet hotel. Nothing fancy, but convenient and reasonably priced. Our stay was marred by the fact that the air conditioner did not work and it was a hot night. We checked in late and the hotel was full, so moving to another room was not an option. Under different circumstances, I am confident the hotel would have accommodated a request […] to move to another room. I have experienced mechanical problems at expensive hotels too, so I would not hesitate to stay here again. Another review mentions the bar/strip club next door. While that is true, it was not loud or obtrusive. The only clue that it offers "adult" entertainment are the words "An exotic experience" on the sign. I would have given this hotel (which is an old fashioned "motel" right on the highway), 4 stars except the location scary. We got in after 9:00 pm on a Saturday night and there is a strip joint next door....If that isn't bad enough, there were all sorts of people hanging around in the parking lot who did not look like someone to strike up a conversation […] with. Finally, we were very hungry, but the recommended establishment was a bar and "family restaurant" that had an unpleasant odor. We found a Mexican restaurant that was excellent, and just down the street. I have no idea why the front desk did not recommend it. Otherwise, if you don't want authentic Mexican, order pizza and have it delivered. This is a very scary little town. Read more
