Comfortable bed, good shower, clean and all necessary facilities plus free internet. Small room but very good value in an excellent location. Nice touches such as coffee maker in room and cold water and other supplies easily available. Sometimes a wait for the elevator but no other reservations. Would be happy to stay there again.

Overlooking the river and the Trump tower, within walking distance of train stations and the Art Institute the hotel is well placed and surprisingly there was no noise from the street, from ambulance sirens etc. Room was small but clean and had all one needed (even a smoking room possible for we addicts). The cleaning was excellent, the breakfasts suited my needs (eggs and bacon), but there were alternatives. Thoroughly recommended.

When I first entered my room I thought it was rather small. I soon came to realize that the space utilization integrated into the room layout was outstanding. The pillows were the most comfortable I've ever slept on. The workstation desk was extremely supportive and a joy to sit on. The onsite restaurant was great. Had both dinner and breakfast there and the food was great, most especially dinner. The best bread I ever ate came with the meal.

Very pleased with cleanliness of building and room, which was newly furnished. View was amazing and hotel was centrally located off of the Magnificent Mile. Can walk from Ogilvie Transportation Center to hotel, and from hotel to all of Michigan Ave. Perfect location. Check in and check out were a snap with automated kiosks. No waiting in line and the process was very simple. Room was on 39th floor and elevators go to 38th floor. Very short flight of stairs was well worth the view. Amazing food at hotel restaurant. The only downside was trying to find the ice and vending on lower level. Not all the whistles and bells of some other hotels in the area but extremely affordable and a great stay. Will definitely book here again!

Yes, the hotel rooms are a bit small however it's because some of them are in a historic "tower". Great views and you're right on the river. The hotel staff was less than accomodating. Getting extra pillows was difficult. Also, their valet person was less than helpful. This is a beautiful hotel, free wireless, lovely lobby but w/o the bells and whistles at more upscale hotels. Great value!

The hotel was wondeful. Room was small but very comfortable. Free internet access and flat screen t.v. that swivels (view from desk or bed). Step in shower and large bathroom Also, they had a "water dispensing" station located off the elevator that allowed you to fill up a water bottle with filtered cold water. Very nice! Only gave me 1 towel, 1 wash cloth and 1 hand towel but suggested I go to the guest closet in the hallway for more if I needed it. Also, it was quite warm in the room and I couldn't get the A/C to cool past 73 and the bed had a light sheet and a down comforter. Again I could have gone to the guest closet for an additional blanket but didn't really want to do that after I was already in my p.j.'s. I would still stay there again. Front desk personnel were exceptional and very helpful. Restaurant staff was also very nice and helpful. Overall experience was wonderful!

I was joking to some friends that maybe "Close Quarters" is a better name for this place. Yes, the rooms are, ummm, cozy. But all I needed was a place to sleep and the room was extremely clean and nice. The staff were all very patient and helpful with my million questions about "where is this, can I walk there". The location is outstanding if you want to explore downtown Chicago shopping and arts. My only complaint is that the elevator is crazy slow. Not once you get into it - but - if you're in the lobby waiting for it to get there, I hope you can find a seat.

The hotel itself is nice, standard hotel room. I can't say there's anything spectacular about it but it's a solid place to stay in the heart of downtown, and for the price the location is great. I do want to say that they went out of their way to help us out. We landed very early AM and the hotel was happy to let us check-in essentially getting almost an extra night for free. We checked in before 7am and had a room all ready and waiting. Slept and went out, coming back ot find our room serviced. Wow! So nice. Would definitely stay here again just as thanks for that.

As others have also commented on, the rooms are indeed small, but comfortable, updated and clean. Rooms do include nice touches including microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker, and chilled bottled water as well. Location is very easy is find, and within walking distance to shopping, attractions and museums. Both valet and public parking available (right next door to hotel). Security is very good, with access to guest floors restricted to those with room keys only. Only slight negative was our room only had a large shower stall instead of bath/shower combo. For a hotel right in the heart of downtown Chicago, the price is right for either an inexpensive weekend getaway, or the budget minded business traveler.
