"Excellent choice in Portland"
Everything about the Best Western Inn at the Meadows was excellent. Breakfast was very good for complimentary food. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel location was great for getting into Portland quickly as long as you avoided rush hour or took convenient public transportation. We had one small problem with the TV remote. We didn't need to watch […] much anyway and got that figured out at the end of our stay. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice stay w/ spacious rooms & incredible breakfast"
We stayed here for 3 nights, (Th-Sun), & really enjoyed the spacious room, microwave, mini-fridge, etc. in our room. The beds were nice & the decor was contemporary; appearing to have been recently remodeled. It was an overall great value for the price and close to the highway for easy access to Portland or the airport. We'd stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Staff, good accommodations, good location"
Genuinely friendly staff throughout, accommodating my request for quiet room on 3rd floor, rear of building. Older property with face lift. Contemporary lobby design, updated room furniture, spacious king room with desk, chair, comfy seat and ottoman. Wet bar with micro wave, fridge w. freezer shelf. Wall mounted large TV, adjustable in every direction, […] good HD picture with lots of movie channels. Efficient A/C, full "lights out" blinds prevent street lights to disturb night time. Updated bath, soap/shampoo/conditioner in dispenser, towels a bit thin. Eventhough the hotel advertises and praises their "green" living, it is not practiced. Towels exchanged every day despite hanging up. Breakfast room has large round 8-seater tables, covered with plastic sheeting. During busy times, difficult to pass between occupied tables/seats. Breakfast food choices identical on all four days I was there. Tasted good, selection on par with motel fare, could be improved on to get to the next level and match to rest of the overall hotel experience. Hotel is located six miles from downtown, easy access to interstate 5. Close to airport and easy to get into and out of town. Restaurants, fast food, gas station, Wmart near by in walking distance. Public transportation 1/2 mile to walk. Considering that downtown Portland is a pricey hotel territory, this was the perfect spot and hotel at the intersection of location and price for my Portland/Oregon Coast/Columbia River vacation. "Work trip to Portland"
Nice room and I can tell it's recently been updated. The location was just not ideal for me as I was working downtown Portland and I'll try to find a hotel closer to my work next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to I-5"
Our stay was good as the hotel offered free breakfast, wi-fi and parking. Our room was recently renovated and was very modern looking as with the hotel lobby. However, the area itself was sketchy as there were beggars loitering around the neighborhood.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convenient location, excellent staff"
The hotel was exceptionally well run and cared for. We enjoyed our stay.Julia at the front desk was particularly kind and helpful. The hotel is surrounded by big box stores and chain restaurants, but the location great for getting anywhere in the city in minutes by car.The ool is small maybe it is a hot tub in the winter!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Right decision to stay in this hotel!"
Everything is great. We are especially impressed about the room cleaniness, as my wife is very picky if the room is clean. Great!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Conviently located to airport and downtown."
Front desk staff excellent. Great location for airport and downtown, except we did stay off I 5 during rush hour traffic. Great breakfast as well plus 2 really good family restaurants within walking distance of hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location for raceway"
Spent the night before went as Potland raceway. Good location within walking distance. Beds were comfortable and clean. Front desk staff not very helpful when asking them questionsGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"nice hotel in this area"
We come down every year for the All British Field Meet. we have stayed in this hotel for the last three years. The rooms are always clean and the staff very friendly. My only complaint is that the only place the hotel is air conditioned is the lobby. As soon as you leave the lobby, it is beyond stuffy and hot.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room very comfortable, well appointed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The stay was great, but when I asked them to pick my daughter, grandson and me up from the airport after 11:00pm, they said they don't pick people up after 11:00. I paid over $150 to sleep one night in that hotel, and they won't pick me up? So now I have to get a taxi to take us to the hotel and it may cost over $25 just for a ride to the hotel. I don't […] think I'll ever stay there again. Not good customer service. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Not as centrally located as discribed! Modern furnishing with squeaky bed frame that you would think was much older than what it is. Hallways very stuffy and hot on upper floor. Breakfast was ok but no sleeping in on vacation. Need to get up and out before 8:30am. Paid way to much so try to get deal in my advice !!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"convenient to family"

It was very good. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and nice. The quality of service is exceptional. I have never been disappointed while staying at any Best Western. Recommend highly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent for price- family trip"
This hotel exceeded out expectations. We have 3 young kids and the room was large, clean, and had everything we needed. The breakfast was hot and delicious- eggs, sausage, quesadillas- much better than other hotel breakfasts. It's about 10 minutes from downtown Portland- depending on traffic. Right off the 5 and very close to the Columbia River. We […] would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
We were very disappointed in our stay in Portland. Hotel staff had no ideas or suggestions for activities or dining. Our room was adequate but nothing grand!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice, affordable place to stay when visiting PDX"
We flew in to visit the city and were concerned about transportation because we were not traveling by car. Turns out, we didn't need a car! Free shuttle picks you up and drops you off at the Best Western. The MAX Yellow Line takes you right into the Pearl District (Powell's bookstore & Stumptown Coffee), Chinatown (Voodoo Doughnuts), and of course Downtown […] Portland (FOOD TRUCKS!!). We took the train into Downtown everyday and from there walked to the other places. Honestly, if you can walk for 5 minutes, you will have no problem getting from the hotel to the MAX Line. $5 all day pass. We did not spend much time in our room, but the room is nice and this hotel is really a great bargain. So much cheaper than staying closer to Downtown. Yes, there are some homeless near by, but Portland in general has a very visible homeless population all over the city so that is something you have to be aware of before deciding to travel here. "Was a nice experiance."
We stayed two nights. I had to have a package delivered to the hotel and they called to let me know as soon as it got there. The hotel staff were all very friendly, approachable and seemed to be looking out for our needs. It was a wonderful stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
The lobby and my room were very nice;modern and updated. The common areas areas, however are showing signs of wear, and the carpet is soiled in spots. Elmer's Restaurant is next door. This hotel is not in a good area, and while the train is close by, it is not a good place to walk to, so I drove. You can hear the speedway from your room. The most comical […] (not really) about my stay is that there was a dog show in town, with many dog owners staying at the hotel, and yes, peeing on the rugs and barking in their rooms. The halls smelled like dogs; not good! The breakfast was located in a crowded conference room, and I was concerned that the elderly guests would either trip or spill hot coffee on one another. I consider this hotel very over priced, and would not recommend it. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Hotel was great, very modern and clean."
Staff was friendly and the hotel was very comfortable. Great breakfast and nice jacuzzi. It takes about 20 minutes to get into downtown Portland when you account for traffic. Sherri's restraunt is right next door and if offers great options for all meals.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient location at an affordable price"
My wife and I stayed here during our vacation to the Portland area. We had a great experience. If you're looking for an affordable hotel that's not far from the city, this is a solid option. The rooms were much nicer than I expected. Honestly it felt like we were staying in a much nicer hotel. The free breakfast, free wifi, and shuttle options were […] a nice touch as well. I will say there is not much of a pool option, so if you like to swim or have a family that expects to enjoy some pool time, I would look elsewhere. Otherwise this is a great location for just about anybody who is not looking for a hotel in the downtown area. It's about a 5-10 minute drive from the hotel to downtown Portland, and about a 30 minute drive from the Columbia River Gorge. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Decent for the location"
Room size was bigger than expected. Short walk to the MAX line was a bonus. Was disappointed when I tried to reserve the shuttle to the airport and was told the only time they could take me a as 2 hours prior to my check in time.Genuine Expedia guest review
"A nice hotel"
Staff was friendly and helpful. Several good family restaurants within walking distance. Close to I - 5. Room and breakfast were both great. I definitely recommend it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Well let me start off with the good, it is a pet friendly hotel and the staff was kind and courteous, the hotel was clean and presentable. that's as far as it goes. The bed mattress was hard as stone. When I asked if all the rooms had this firm of a mattress, they giggled and offered my comforters to lay on. Which means they must experience this complaint […] a TON! Sealy firm ....more like CHEAP very very very cheap. And the breakfast was really terrible, I mean I know its free but it doesn't have to be disgusting, I thought free meant you were paying with it in the price of your room. Not free and so we are going to give you the cheapest, grossest food ever. If this is how all best westerns are, I will never be staying in one again. I'm good, Id rather pay more a night than sleep on a rock. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Easy access from I-5. Staff was very accommodating and our room was spotless and up-to-date. Will definitely stay there again on our next trip to Portland.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"perfect price/quality ratio"
Arrived at the parking lot, and it looked like just any other Best Western. Walk inside and you'll be greeted by very helpful, smiling staff. Now off to the room. They give you NFC-like cards that you hold against the door to open. Genius. I don't think you can demagnetize these. Now to the room, I was surprised at how clean it was. The decor/furniture […] was very modern and the room had an HDTV with DirecTV. Also it was very spacious. It had a comfy guest chair, and a desk area for being productive. The bathroom was clean and had a mini coffee maker inside. Now the location is kind of isolated from any part of Portland. It seems like a little bubble next to the freeway with your fast food places and a gas station. Other than that, you can hop on I-5 and it's a few minutes to downtown. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The staff were very prompt and courteous. They brought me some amenities with no hassle. I guess this means I would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pleasant room, clean, comfortable"
Wanted to visit places in Portland, including Salt & Straw, Bollywood Theater, and Portland Brewers Fest, needed a place to sleep so we wouldn't have to drive home to the Puget Sound area that night. Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff was accommodating and friendly, and the complimentary breakfast was a great bonus -- scrambled eggs, sausages, breakfast […] potatoes, fruit, juices, milk. Simple but satisfying in a cafeteria style room. A bit crowded, but fun to see people from all over the world -- Germans, French, Sikhs just to name a few. Could hear the freeway from the room, but only with the window open. Jacuzzi tub was very pleasant, luckily had it to ourselves on a starry night. Free WiFi also a great bonus. Couldn't hear neighbors, but weren't sure if the adjoining rooms were occupied or not. A very nice experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A good vacation base"
There was a free full breakfast each morning. The hotel was a stone's throw from the major travel arteries, yet not so close as to be noisy. Wifi all over the hotel. Easy to get into the city or out to the Columbia River Gorge sights. The desk staff was friendly/folksy. The housekeepers were unobtrusive. A good base camp for each day's adventures.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good stay while visiting PSU"
Stayed here on a two night visit to Portland, during which we had to spend one day in downtown. Traffic in that stretch of freeway to downtown is a bear, but short enough to still be convenient. Location was a bit hard to find at first (signs on street entrances are pretty small) but a nice, quieter place to go after being in busy downtown all day. […] Wish there were more decent restaurants near the hotel. Overall room was quite nice, comfortable - nice amenities (excellent refrigerator!) nice tv, microwave, wine cooler, and even a safe (we did not have use for anything but the refrigerator) . Very clean. One complaint is no venting/fan in bathroom - which was more noticeable since coffeemaker was set up in there. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The staff was very friendly and breakfast delicious, however the room had stains on the carpets and the sink had a fruit fly infestation. I would stay again though for the proximity to the Expo center.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed here because it was cheaper than stAying in downtown. The hotel was decent. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful. They offered a free breakfast but served the same thing for the whole week so that got old quick but I guess I can't really complain. I would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
Everything great, but the horrible flimsy rollaway. They should either do away with them completely or not charge for them.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Updated, clean, very pleasant"
This hotel was recently renovated, everything right down to the carpeting in the room is new and clean. The service was professional, and pleasant. The breakfast was very good and there was plenty of food to choose from.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room is pretty much ready for the modern generation. It has decent free wifi, flat screen LCD TV readily available to be connected with any HDMI capable consoles, plenty of power outlets, and spacious table for work or play. The beds, pillows, and sheets are top notch. It's a pleasure to sleep on them. Bathroom is also well built and designed with new […] shower heads and dispenser for shampoos, conditioner, and shower gels. Even the door locks are modernized using card keys that you do not have to insert and pull out. You just put the card key in front of the lock sensor, and that's it. Basically we very much appreciate our weekend stay there with all these modern amenities. To top it off, the free breakfast is awesome! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Nice and near the MAX line"
While at first I didn't realize quite how far away from downtown this hotel was, that was remedied by the MAX rail being within walking distance. This allowed me to get around downtown without worrying about parking or traffic especially on a busy holiday weekend. The room was clean and comfortable with long useful counters in both the main area and […] the bathroom. The breakfast had various options, including a hot breakfast instead of just a regular old continental which was greatly appreciated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We used this hotel as a quick stop over on our way out of Oregon, so location to the main hub of Portland wasn't important.
