If you want to be in Mexico, but not among the Mexican's this place could be for you. The place is a tourist trap, where everything is more costly than in America and the service is terrible. We had to wait over an 1 hour to simply check in and then got nasty service. House keeping didn't clean our room till after 3pm after we returned from our day-time […] activities. Food is terrible. Swimming pool is over heated, and the beach in front of the place you can't swim in. The spa is it's only saving grace. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My wife and I went to the hotel (for the first time) just as a short 4-day get-away. We found it very relaxing and beautiful. We got the breakfast buffet every morning, which had an excellent selection. And the staff were very pleasant. We rented a car for our stay, which gave us a lot of freedom and saved us tons in cab fare!Genuine Expedia guest review
Great in everyway. Their WiFi was super slow and flaky. Everything else was greatGenuine Expedia guest review
The Fiesta Americana was a perfect place for our family vacation. Nine pools, a beautiful private beach with its own resident tropical fish, delicious food, spotlessly clean facilities and the friendliest hotel staff ever made this a vacation we'll never forget.Genuine Expedia guest review
It's our first stay here and have been to several other hotels in Cabo. The pool and facilities are very family friendly. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. They had games and activities for all ages in and around the pools, which, by the way, are all fantastic! Their beach area was extremely picturesque and had plenty of service on the […] beach. There are only two reasons why they don't get a better rating: really poor quality of food at the restaurant and room service. It's exceedingly over priced for the poor quality. Just about all of the other guests said the same. Second, they were constantly doing construction around the main pool. I understand they're improving their facilities, but they did jack hammering and used a back hoe during the weekend when a lot of families were there with their children. It could've been better coordinated to allow vacationing guests to relax... at least on the weekend. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Beautiful location, Beautiful hotel"
My wife and I stayed at the beginning of September and could not have been happier with our choice of this hotel. We relied solely on the reviews and were not disappointed. The hotel and pools are kept clean and neat with many hotel staff working hard to keep it that way. Our room was great, we did get an upgrade that gave us a nicer room and free continental […] breakfast and snacks throughout the day. The beach is nice with a small swimming area, clear water and lots of fish. The hotel is in the middle between Cabo San Lucas and Los Cabos, very handy for sightseeing with easy access to the highway. We will definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Beautiful resort....horrible service."
We arrived at the resort right at check-in time and were told they did not have our 'room type' available. We had to wait two hours for a room to be available. The property was absolutely beautiful so we tried to be positive. We finally got to our room and it was freezing (and continued to be unless the air was turned completely off until it got hot...). […] The property is VERY large and inconveniently layed out that it was a hassle to do anything. There was a coffee maker in our room but there was a $4.00 charge for the coffee! (REALLY) The food in the restaurant was wonderful but you had to beg for service. They supposedly had themed nights but that was just for the advertising during the time share tour. They literally put out signs one nights advertising Tapas in the outside bar and took them down later after the tour....we did not see one tapa served. The beach and pool service were even worse. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else!!! It was a very frustrating experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Loved our stay!"
We really enjoyed the 4 night stay at the Fiesta Americana. When we first checked in we were given a room with 2 Queen beds. Sensing our disappointment that our request for a King bed was not fulfilled, we were put on a list for a King Bed. 30 minutes later we were moved to a King Room with the most awesome ocean view. We visited Somma Spa for massages […] and were blissfully happy with our treatments. Treatments include a glass of wine afterwards to further unwind. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!"
Amazing views, atmosphere and great pools! I was not expecting such a nice hotel. The pictures don't do it justice. And since we got such a good deal I thought it was going to be average. IT EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS! The hotel is huge and very very nicely groomed and laid out. It was somewhat of a hike to get to our room (431) but other than that […] it was great. I was also surprised that the food was really good too. Usually in these large hotels the food is not great but I thought it was very good. We did not do the breakfast plan so we just did the "European Plan" and it was great. We liked going to the bakery in the morning. The spa was so-so. It was the only facility that was not up to par. The jacuzzi, steam room were not working when we went and the massage was ok: not bad at all, just not AMAZING like the rest of the hotel. We rented a car and it was great to have it to drive all over Cabo. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

We had a great time at Fiesta Americana. The staff and service was excellent and the food was good. The grounds were very clean and the pools were great. Had a great time. A 20 minute drive from Cabo San Lucas, but that was okay for us. We enjoyed the pool, the sand is ROCKY, keep that in mind. If you want soft sand, you need to be by the marina. The hotel wasn't designed to handle rain very well, and our neighboring room flooded after a pretty good rain. Most of the hotel flooded actually, but the […] staff was in top of it. Everything at this resort was top notch. Our maid service was probably the best we have ever had. The seimming pool was superb. The time of year was perfect as it was not crowded at all. I love children but every now and again you need a break from them and this time of year made it perfect to get away as there were not very many and it made our pool […] visits very relaxing. I thought the food was just OK. The breakfast buffet was very overpriced compared to other resorts that I have stayed at. It was easy to get to town. The two golf courses were Great!! The shuttle made it easy for delivery and pickup. It was a blast. This was a great getaway. Though we were hit with the timeshare deal at the beginning and I was very adament about not doing that, we did enjoy the timeshare presentation and ended up becoming a member of the Vacation Club. That was a Great Deal. Plus we received $250 of food credit. We are excited about our Timeshare space for next year. We have been to Cbo for 12 years and our first time staying at a resort. I was very pleased with the room and possibly stay here again however, my boyfriend and I encountered a little problem while we were there. We were not allowed to bring in outside food or drinks (ex...groceries). Of course it isn't written anywhere! We were completely embarrassed when we were stopped in the lobby by the hotel staff. We explained that […] we love to snack in between meals (chips, cookies, drinks, fruit, etc...) and we don't always want to eat a big meal. Although we had a mini fridge and snacks for purchase in the room, they did not allow us back in the room with our groceries. According to staff, the manager transferred us to a hotel villa as a courtesy to us. Fyi...The hotel offers 2 restaurants they serve mexican, pastas, burgers, etc. My recommendation is that if you are a snacker, on a special diet or traveling with kids, you should probably book a room at a different hotel. "Great Views, poor activities"
If you are looking to stay at the Mexican version of the American country club come to Fiesta Americana. The views are beautiful, the pools are very nice, the staff is friendly, and the rooms are very clean. However, (1) food is EXTREMELY expensive for what you are purchasing (think Flemings or Houstons; really expensive steak restaurants but definitely […] not as good), (2) the pool bar closes at 6ish, (3) the only food available at night is either Italian or American (no Mexican food), (4) the activities planned out at the hotel are sad at best, (5) wait staff tend to ignore you unless you speak Spanish (my wife and I waited at the Italian restaurant for 1 hour and 45 minutes and only ordered 2 glasses of wine and a lasagne, who knew that it took half an hour to poor wine), and (6) it is fairly expensive to get into Cabo (not to mention kind of a hassle). All in all if you are staying a couple days, don't mind spending money, and want to relax by the pool and enjoy the good views (all the while knowing that 6pm and onward there is nothing to do) come here. Otherwise look somewhere else. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

At the pool bar we got good […] service from Oscar, Rafael, Bladinir and Pablo. The servers from the Peninsula Bar/restaurant Enrique and Alvaro were wonderful as well. "Nice hotel. Right on the beach."
The hotel is very nice. It is right on the beach - which is swimmable (for the most part). Lots of pools and pool seats and beach chairs to sit in.Genuine Expedia guest review
We had a wonderful stay at the Fiesta Americana Grand Los Cabos. We took a family vacation and let them know it was our daughter's birthday, and the concierge arranged for the room to be decorated and later on that evening two employees brought her a cheesecake with a candle. She was really happy and so were we. The staff was awesome, helpful and always […] there to assist us in everything we needed. It's good to note that just like any Mexican resort, they really push time shares which they say its a 90 minute presentation and it turns out to be a half a day of your vacation. On a negative note and this has nothing to do with the hotel, we were shocked by our rental car service arranged by expedia (Europcar) which originally wanted to give us a tiny car, and upgraded us to a beat up car, then ended up charging us a hefty fee for insurance. The funny thing is that an employee from a different hotel was offering to wave those costs ONLY if we sat through their time share presentation. We ended up paying the insurance fee, but we will never rent a car through this company. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Beautiful resort with great service and style"
We stayed 7 nights and enjoyed it a lot. The location is great, directly at the beach, not far from Los Cabos and San Jose but very quiet. We loved the design of the resort. Tasteful decor of the rooms, nice wooden deck-chairs, beautiful pools... The staff was very friendly, also very kidfriendly. Our 4-year old daughter enjoyed the games at the pool. […] We really have nothing to complain. We booked the Grand Club and enjoyed this service. The free continental breakfast included fruit, yoghurt, granola, several fresh juices, café latte, bagles, toast, smoked salmon and other things. "Great for families!"
Beautiful hotel, great food, friendly staff - and for families - great Kids Club! If you need a couple hours (or more) to 'yourself' , Kids Club is awesome - you can drop off your kid there and they are great at entertaining them. They do not 'force them' to do things, but tailor it to each child. I was so impressed with this program! The 'kid's' staff […] is not your ordinary 'baby-sitter' - I talked to them all (being an overprotective mom), and they actually understand and try to work with you! They have a variety of activities each day - from video games, to pool-side games! All I can say - my kid came out so much happier and more confident! No kidding -from not really liking swimming, to - I can't get him out of water! They have several pools and they are all great. We were there during a great warm weather, and then some, storm - and staff is ready - rain or shine! For adults - this is a family place. Keep that in mind. Kids and parents are having a lot of fun. Not a party place, but if you need it, Cabo San Lucas is 15 min away by shuttle. Food - absolutely delicious, and bit pricey, but worth it! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

The hotel was beautiful with great views of the ocean. It was very modern, comfortable and clean. For families, I liked the children's activity center where children could be dropped off anytime from about 9am to 4pm, and they had many activities for them. "My Family Will Return"
This was our first time to Cabo and first time to Fiesta Americana Resort. I have to say the Resort is very beautiful since we did not go during peak season the Resort was basically all to ourselves and we had not problems finding seats at the various pools the site has to offer. I would have rate it a 5, and the reason why they would not let us eat […] at one of the main restaurants by the beach next to the pools. We needed a reservation?? Hey, not a peak season the tables were practically empty and I need to make a reservation OKAY THEN? So we left and decided to go eat downtown and it was better off Cheaper. Second, do not shop at the local shop they have on site way to expensive. Better off buying groceries to bring back to the Resort. Overall, the kids had a blast and the Hotel staff I have to say are very friendly and the rooms was constantly being cleaned. The Kids Club they have on site was a wonderful idea and my son enjoyed every minute of it. The staff was the best and made sure the kids enjoyed their stay at the club. "Amazing Hotel with Stunning Views and Great Staff"
My husband and I decided to travel to Cabo for his 30th birthday. It was our first time to Mexico and we are in LOVE with Cabo San Lucas and Fiesta Americana Grand! We decided on this resort because of the proximity to several golf courses my husband wanted to play, as well as the amazing reviews and photos we saw on expedia. It was better than we expected! […] The service and food was excellent every single time!! They clean your room twice every day and have a turn down service as well. The valet parking was also very helpful with our rented car, and they even had a valet storage system for my husband's golf clubs so he didn't have to lug them to and from his room every day! The bed was very comfortable and the view from our room was stunning. I also loved the soaker tub. We felt very safe not only at the resort, but also in Cabo San Lucas. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this resort or destination. My husband and I loved it so much that we are planning another trip here for my 30th birthday next year!! "Excellent resort away from the chaos of downtown"
Took my wife on a surprise getaway for 3 nites. I wish we had stayed longer (kids were at home). I picked this resort based on the high ratings for the pools and the overall package price. We were NOT disappointed! The grounds were fantastic. The pools were amazing. It was kid friendly but we were able to find plenty of spots to be away from them so […] it was really great. The beach was very uncrowded - depending on the time of day the current/tide was either calm and provided for some great snorkeling or a little rough (still could go into the water but probably not best for little ones). The room was simple but great - the bed was comfortable and the view was fantastic (we were in a Grand Club room). The Grand Club pool was nice but it didn't seem as though it was "exclusive" (i.e. no one was checking) so not sure how big a selling point that is. The Grand Club lounge was nice - good simple breakfast and nice appetizers every evening. Full HIGH end bar too (Don Julio, Kettle One, etc.). We spent a lot of time at the pools. The Penninsula restaurant was fantastic for lunch and poolside service - I highly recommend the fish ceviche. Note: the prices jumped pretty dramatically at nite but we filled up late afternoon. The margaritas and all the other drinks at the poolside "Bikini Bar" were excellent. High end liquor and no bottled mixers. Really top notch. We ate dinner one nite at Roseto - pricey but great. The spa was fantastic. Overall A+++ all around. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Nice hotel but I had higher expectations for it."
Good place for vacation not much to do for toddlers. They don't have anything to make the stay more fun for them. Deli was great I always got my coffee there and the staff was very nice. I was not happy with concierge desk at all. One time I walked up to them and there were 4 employess without customer and I just stood there for 5 minutes waiting for […] someone to help me while they stared at their computer. Also, when I alsked them to do something for me I had to follow up 3 times to make sure it would get done. When I booked our vacation it said stay at deluxe room and get a free breakfast (worth $50), when I aksed about our breakfast at the front desk they said it is not included in our room even though we got a deluxe oceanview room. They said we had to pick the one that was $50 more and I told them that then breakfast was not free and they said "basically it is not" because you are paying $50 extra for it. It is not fair that they are advertising free breakfast and it is not free. Housekeeper that did our turndown service was great she cleaned the room better than our housekeeper during the day did. "Fantastic hotel, would stay again!!"
Absolutely loved this hotel!! The location for us (2 adults, 2 kids 8 & 10) was perfect, far enough from the busy/gigantic resort areas but close enough to wander into either Los Cabos or San Jose (we had a car which I also highly recommend). The beach/ocean was a bit rough but fine just to get in and splash around, and the pools were great. The concierge […] mentioned to me they were at 100% capacity but it never felt very crowded. The 'hotel' rooms were a bit small for the four of us, but we really didn't spend much time in the rooms anyway so not a big deal. We got the "Grand Club" option which got us a room in great 'Club' building/location, access to the Grand Club concierge room (drinks, snacks, happy hour, etc). It was only a couple hundred dollars and I highly recommend it. Was extremely convenient, especially when the kids wanted sodas, waters, etc. The ONLY issue we really had was when we brought back some stuff from the grocery store (chips, waters, beer, and 4 or 5 bottles of wine). The staff at the front would not let us bring it to our room, saying it was "against hotel policy" to bring food/drinks to the 'hotel' rooms (as opposed to the villas). I did talk them into letting us bring up some waters and one bottle of wine but it was quite the ordeal. If I had known, and been more discreet, it probably wouldn't have been a problem. But they would much rather you pay $12+ for a glass of mediocre Cabernet. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Fiesta Americana had so many pools, I lost count!"
Upon arrival, they greeted us with margaritas! They also upgraded us and we got to enjoy complimentary breakfast, snacks, drinks and happy hour everyday! But what sucked was when they said our rooms were still being cleaned and said someone would tell us about the "amenities". What really happened was they were trying to sell us a time share. They said […] its not a "time share" but no matter what you call it, it's a time share! Anyway, we declined and our room was suddenly ready! I loved the fact that they had so many pools to choose from. Our favorite was the infinity pool over looking the beach. It was gorgeous! They even offered water aerobics! There was also a shuttle that took you downtown for $20 US dollars per person. This is the same price as their taxis but they'll tell you taxis cost more. Check with the drivers first. The staff was nice overall. If they didn't try to sell us a time share it would've been perfect! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Lovely staff & location"
Pros: Got a good deal on the flight + hotel package, location is right on the beach, amazing infinity pools with poolside service, plenty of room & lounge chairs (especially if you're an early bird), delicious food at all the restaurants, reasonable restaurant prices (I didn't do all inclusive), staff is so friendly & lovely. I was able to relax on […] this trip in beautiful surroundings, and that's really all I wanted. Cons: All of my negative experience had to do with the front desk. My room wasn't ready until 6:30pm (check-in is supposed to be at 3pm), so I lost a day of sun. Also, I specifically asked for a nice view - I was told I could have a room on the first floor or fourth floor at check in. I asked for the fourth floor assuming this would have a view. My view was of a collection of palm tree tops and nothing else (no ocean view at all). The toilet was not working but was fixed after 2 calls to the front desk. Even though I filed a credit card with the front desk at check-in, I was told on multiple dining occasions that I had no room credit and couldn't sign things to the room, causing me to have to call the front desk again to sort it out.
