"close to sights/shopping"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We loved it - great location, staff and breakfast. Lovely, large second floor room.
"Nice Place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Hotel was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was free in the lobby. It was a short walk from where the airport bus dropped us off and shopping/restaurants. Most of the tourist spots are a bit farther, but still very walkable.
"Good Value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Ardmore is a clean, modern hotel that has power showers and staff that are friendly. The food served is well prepared and affordable. For the money it can't be beat, but if you want nice pillows, soft towels& cozy bedding then you should spend the extra money to get them. Those of us who prefer value over the little "extras" would love this hotel. The 15 minute bus ride into downtown wasn't bad unless you JUST missed the bus and have to wait another twenty minutes to get on. It is a great location for a first night into Dublin or your last because it is only 15 minutes to the airport!
"Wonderful hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The westbury is a great hotel, very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel to Dublin soon!

"marine hotel"
everything was fine with the exception that one of our rooms had been occupied by a heavy smoker. the odor was so bad that another room had to be found. the staff were great and found a room nearby. i thought smoking was prohibited in hotels in ireland?
"Good location - Questionable Service"
Massive confusion upon a 2 day reservation and condescending mangement. Good location but avoid if possible.
"Nice place, Expensive internet"
The Marine hotel had very nice rooms for a great price. Howth is a very nice little town and it's just s short drive from down town Dublin. My only complaint is the very expensive internet access. WiFi is 10 euros for 12 hours of internet access.

"A nice hotel close to Dublin"
We found this hotel to be a nice little place. We had a double room and it was very cute, although a little on the small side. It is not far from the city. The staff were touch and go - some were happy to help but others seemed a little stuffy and impatient.
"Great Hotel"
I stayed at this hotel for a wedding at the end of June. The hotel was lovely and the food was fabulous. My room was very clean and spacious. My only problem was with the shower. The water took a long time to heat up and was difficult to regulate the temperature when warm. There was also very little water pressure.
"Excellent for all North City locations"
Stayed just the one night but would recommend the hotel highly for courteous reception and excellent customer care. Lovely setting. Great value.

"Marine Hotel on the outskirts of Howth"
We had a gorgeous carvery as soon as we arrived and then didn't require anything to eat until late. However, by this stage we had had a few drinks so couldn't drive to nearby Howth so had to make do with a chinese across the road which was fine but we were shocked at the lack of pubs and eateries. We didn't use the leisure facilities as we were put […] off by the fact we would have had to walk across the back garden. Read more
Super comfortable, great setting beside the sea, superb access and wonderful staff, not to mention outstanding value - this is one of Dublin's best hotels.
"Clean and Friendly"
The hotel was cean and friendly but the service at breakfast time was very bad and when our breakfast did arrive the eggs were over cooked and the food in general was terrible. Would recommend staying but skipping the breakfast and taking a walk to a local cafe

This is the fourth time this summer that I have booked freinds into this hotel and they were all very pleased with it. I would certainly recommend it again. Joann
"Marine Hotel Autumn stay"
Room was reasonable quality, if a little old-fashioned. We had to move as the first one only had a shower, but changed with no fuss. We ate in the bar lounge area at night. Good choice of food and nightly specials. Breakfast was good quality and plenty of choice (fruit, juices, cereal, yoghurt and full cooked Irish options and porridge etc) Staff very […] friendly and service excellent. Location good, 20 minutes from Dublin Ferry and only a short walk to the DART railway system, E4.4 return to all main Dublin stations (Oct 2011). Access from the airport also good. Superquinn supermarket over the road has good selection of sandwiches, cakes & fruit etc if you need to stock up for a budget packed lunch - Also has an ATM if you need cash. All in all, a great place to stay and explore the Dublin area. Read more
The hotel is in a quiet location, yet with splendid bay views. Bus and Dart close by, easy access to city centre
"Marine hotel Sutton Cross"
Marine hotel location is excellent away for the city centre.Staff are extremly helpful
"extra comfort"
We would have appreciated someone being available to take our bags up to the second floor for us. There is only a lift to the first floor. Otherwise we were very please with all aspects of the hotel, the staff and location.
"Marine Hotel - great value for money!"
Good short break option for family stay. Rooms fine and bar meals and breakfast up to scratch. kids enjoyed pool but it could do with a refurb. Location good base for trips to Howth and Malahide and DART rail station only 5 mins walk away for 25 mins trip to Dublin city centre.
"Marine hotel in Sutton Dublin"
Lovely hotel and really friendly staff, also great location!
"Marine Hotel , Sutton Cross, Dublin"
Pleasant, comfortable hotel in a nice suburb of Dublin, near public transport but situated well outside the city center. It was quiet and seemed a bit austere, but certainly good value for money. The swimming pool is a nice touch for weary travelers. My room was small and overheated, without WiFi. For a quick overnight near the airport it was fine, […] but if I wanted to stay around Dublin a few days I'd choose somewhere more convenient and with a more convivial atmosphere. Read more
"The Marine Hotel in Sutton."
The hotel receptionist when I checked in was very friendly but I was quite disapointed when I discovered that there was no cable movie chanel in my room at all as there has always been one in all of the three star hotels that I have stayed in in Dublin and I think that that is something that is quite important especially when there isnt anything worth […] watching on tv. I was also stunned when I asked the receptionist if I could just get a few biscuits and then when the bell boy came to my door I was expected to pay for them. I thought this was very bad form as whenever I have asked for biscuits in all of the other three star hotels that I have stayed in in Dublin they have always been for free. Apart from those two negatives I think that the hotel staff are quite accomadating but it is for those two reasons that I will not be staying in the hotel again. Read more

Read more

"Super Ausgangspunkt für Dublin-Trips"
auf der landschaftlich sehr schönen Howth-Halbinsel und direkt am Meer gelegen. Direkte Verbindung durch die DART-Bahn in die City (knapp 20 min Fahrt mit der DART) Viele kostenlose Parkplätze am Hotel. Wir waren 3 Nächte dort und hatten ein recht kleines Zimmer, insgesamt aber noch OK. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis war jedenfalls super.
