Don't be fooled by the pictures. This hotel is not a 3 star hotel. At most it is a 2. I had no hot water for 2 days. Then there was NO water for an entire day. The restaurant on premises serves horrible food. The breakfast was disgusting.

We stayed a couple of days here. We were given a room with ocean view which is perfect. The only thing is there is another door leading to the other room. The hotel is in a great location for not being in the beach. The pool was out of service and I was not advised of that, nor was I told how to get to the beach. Hotel was clean and in a good location. The shower head was amazing! My only problem was when you needed something from the front desk/housekeeping, it took at lease 2 to 3 times asking to get it done. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

The hotel was suggested by a good friend from Guam and I'm glad he did. This property should be classified as a 3 to 4-star hotel. The building has a colorful facade; the interior is a bit old and it needs a bit of refurbishing. Nonetheless, my family and I are still recommending this hotel because it's situated where you can just walk to several restaurants […] and shops. The room was unclean with mold on the shower curtain and very dim light for the bathroom. There were cracks in the walls and it was just generally uncomfortable. There was also no chain on the door for at least the thought of being safe at night.

The red trolley stops at the hotel so you won't have any problem getting around the downtown area. Best of all, its a short walk to the Duty Free Shopping Center, restaurants, etc. And they offer free shuttle service to/from the airport. For a 3 star hotel it was not bad. Maybe exactly what you may expect from a 3 star hotel. Room was clean and comfortable(maybe bathroom may not have been as clean as I would have liked...). This hotel is close to the stores and about a 20 minute walk to the mall. The people that work there was very generous. I am a Navy Mom who first travel to Guam with my 4 littles kids the youngest is 1 yr old. upon our arrival at the airport the Driver is already there waiting for me and my kids with complimentary drink in his bag for us. At the hotel I was greeted by kind asian receptionist who really did not even make us wait for our room, it is already ready. But […] I have fear of heights and my concern are my kids cause I dont find it safe to be in that high floor especially when you are passing the corridor of the hotel, so they moved us on the 2nd floor which is really bigger and my worries is gone. Pick up and drop to and from the airport is on time. Shopping malls are just walking distance from the hotel and if you want to tour the place use the red bus it stops at the front of the hotel and will cost you only $10 for a day pass. If you want to use taxi ask the reception because taxi is very expensive. Under water world is just walking distance to the hotel and they give discount to military people and dependents my kids love that place. The white sand beach is also walking distance from the hotel just 10 mins walk. If you want to buy food its only 5 mins walk to the hotel the ABC store. Red dragon restaurant (chinese) is only 10 mins walk and cheap food but really good my kids like it. MC Donald, is also 10 mins walk beside is TGI Friday restaurant. I traveled to Guam last minute on a medical referral from CNMI. I have stayed at the bigger resorts in the past, but I decided to try the Baview Hotel, because of the availability and the affordable price. The stay was nice and the service was friendly, but the overall condition of the room should have been better. A couple of extra towels would have also been convenient since my wife was with me and two towels for 2 people isn't quite enough as people with long hair tend to use an extra towel after showers. The initial room assignment (Rm 213) was done to keep guests from hubbub made by supposed renovation work on the opposite side of the bldg. However, one of the beds' legs was broken, so we requested a room elsewhere; luckily, there was one room available on an upper floor (Rm 601). The balcony and room size of the rooms on the 2nd floor are larger than […] the ones above, but the view of the bay compensates for the slightly smaller rooms. The staff are awesome: Joe, the day mgr; Ann, the reception desk clerk; Margaret, of housekeeping. These folks are such an asset to the hotel and really try hard to make your stay pleasant. When we went to eat at the Del Monico restaurant downstairs, they were out of various flavors of soda, and the menu items weren't what we had in mind (to eat), so we dined elsewhere. The website claims there was a renovation done on the hotel in 2010; it must not have gone beyond the 1st floor, because the rooms showed a lot of wear and tear. However, the rest of the room looks good, if you can look beyond the "old look" of the carpet, outdated bathroom fixtures and bedding. The price for the lodging is of good value, if you plan to be out of the room most of the time. The hotel is in a great location, and the surrounding areas are clean, secure and safe. Based on other hotels I've stayed in, mostly in the Mainland, I'd rate this a 2.5 Star hotel. If they upgrade the entire place, maybe a 3 Star... Read more

Booked this hotel as it looked good from the outside and rate was ok - only spent 12 hours in the hotel as we had a 6AM flight hence we had to check out by 4AM. We came from Hotel Nikko and didn't want to spend the rate there just for practically half a day. Bayview hotel itself was good - value for money, decent facilities (24 hours gym included). […] However, it was all ruined by the security personnel knocking loudly at our door at 2AM (remember we are checking out at 4AM, we were going to wake up a 3AM) asking us if we were throwing stuff outside our window as there were complaints. My goodness! We were soundly sleeping already and would be waking up in 1 hour's time then they come knocking loudly - worst experience ever in staying at a hotel and we travel quite a lot. They could've just called us or checked the complaints by other means but I don't think any hotel should be randomly disturbing guests at 2AM just to check on some complaints. As a result, we had a rough flight as we lost precious sleep. Ashame, if not for this experience, I would've given a more positive review but it goes to show that one single incident can ruin everything and I would seriously not recommend this hotel on this basis - unless you don't mind being woken up at 2AM in the morning! We are asked to put aside our luggages (we have few big diving equipment luggages) at our own and go to walk around and come back in 2 hours. It was nice to stay here. I worried about the airport pickup, but the lady in the information center in an airport called someone, and it turned out the pickup person was already in an airport.
