"A very good hotel at a very good price."
I spent the previous weekend in a Crowne Plaza in Ventura. If these two hotels were side by side, I would choose the Super 8. The Crowne Plaza was fancier, but everything worked in the Super 8, everything was clean, the bed was more comfortable, and the staff was easier to work with. Along with the Super 8 being 1/4 of the price of the Crowne Plaza. […] This is my second stay at this Super 8, and I intend to stay there in future visits. If you're looking for a resort, this isn't it, but if you're looking for a comfortable, clean room for the night, a space to catch up on work, and a reasonable breakfast in the morning, this is a good choice. "Very clean, good value"
This was a very clean hotel. Our room unfortunately had an odd odor to it. It wasn't a dirty unclean odor just odd. We left the window open and the air on . That seemed to help. The breakfast was adequate. The staff were pleasant. Only one pillow per person though. This was very inexpensive and a decent value for what we needed.Genuine Expedia guest review
Basic needs are met but nothing to recommend it other than breakfast is included.Genuine Expedia guest review
"No complaints. Good hotel for the price. Clean!"
We stopped here on our trip home, and we were exhausted so we wanted a hotel that wasn't expensive that would be clean and nice and that had a continental breakfast. This one fit perfectly! We definetely recommend it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Oaky for the price"
Room was spacious, breakfast was not bad for the price. The front desk (american lady) was friendly and accommodative but the Indian guy at the front desk was not! Overall, not bad but could be better!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were in town for a family reunion and stayed ten days. The hotel was very convenient and well run. The staff was always friendly and willing to make sure we were comfortable (I needed extra pillows - no problem). We were visiting from California and tended to sleep in, getting to breakfast towards the end of the time alloted. The staff got extra […] yogurt or muffins when needed. Would recommend. "okay for the price"
The stay was okay for the price. The one bug-a-boo I have is that I asked for a wake up call and it never came. the TV was too dim and the alarm clock was broken. But whatever, the bed was made and the heat/AC worked.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Price/Needs met!"
Hotel was as expected. The only thing I didn't care for was I could smell cigarette smoke. I did mention it to the clerk and she made sure my room was as far away as possible from the smoking rooms. The room I had was free of smoke smell. The hotel provided a contenental breakfast with belgen waffles and muffins, very basic but meets the needs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very decent budget hotel!"
We stayed here for 3 nights right before New Year's Day while visiting family and friends in Medina County. This hotel was very reasonably priced, clean, provided good service, and even had a decent breakfast! It's in a busy commercial area, but we had no problem with noise, even on New Year's Eve! It's a two-story hotel and the rooms open into an internal […] hallway -- very nice in the northeast Ohio winter weather! We were only in our room to sleep and shower because almost all of our time was with family and friends. This hotel was more than adequate and we would stay here again in a heartbeat. "Everything was great!"
This place was great. Clean rooms, Internet was quick, breakfast included, many TV channels. I enjoyed my stay there. Would come back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dirty, smelly and run by amateurs"
Carpet throughout the hotel is dirty to the point of being black. The room smells like the rest area of a truck stop. The odor is a mixture of diesel fuel, grease and oil plus dirty unwashed clothing. I was surprised to see that your "coon dog" could stay with for an extra $10. The towels are the size of Kleenex and the two pillows the size of chicklets. […] What was really amazing was checking out at 5:30 am only to find the clerk asleep in a recliner located in the front lobby. Better yet, she did not even get up when I left. This is one of the poorest hotels I have seen in a long time. The adage "you get what you pay for" does not apply here because even a free room would be dreadful. The owner/manger welcomed and replied to any request. The hallways and breakfast areas are very clean. Our room and bathroom were simple, clean and adequate. The television, air conditioner, and wifi worked. It was perfect for our visit.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Bon emplacement pour poursuivre vers Chicago"
L'accueil est un peu froid, mais à part ça la chambre était propre et grande pour 4, et un bon petit dejeuner avant de prendre la route. Bref hôtel conseillé pour un escale d'une ou 2 nuits.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Ok for quick over night stay. Front desk girl informed me of everything I needed to know why checking in. Breakfast was simple but fresh and our room was clean.

I needed to stay at the hotel and use the WiFi into the afternoon, and they were very generous by letting me sit in the breakfast room the entire afternoon.

Average stay hotel quick over night stay, the price was certainly right . The lobby had a musty smell, not a smoker but you could smell it everywhere. Room was nonsmoking but had a funky odor to it. All in all everything was fine for what we paid.

The stay was very pleasant. We were able to check in early. The room was clean , the television is updated, and staff was efficient and accommodating. Didn't stay for breakfast but saw a waffle maker I would enjoy if had stayed for breakfast.

When I arrived, I fully expected to find a dirty room, musty odor, and sundry problems one typically associates with an unpleasant hotel stay. Although the friendliness of the night desk clerk left much to be desired, I found my room (discounted by manager GREAT) to be clean, with no unpleasant odor, and to be an agreeable temperature. Although 73 degrees is a bit warm for me, I turned down to 68. Three items only were disturbing. A) The walls seemed a bit thin as I could hear the neighbors TALKING, not yelling. B) The bathroom tub faucet was soldered to the copper water supply pipe improperly, causing the pipe to be visible out of the shower wall. This could lead to a mold problem. C) The bathroom fan turned on whenever the light is on. I did not enjoy being blasted with a loud fan late at night when I had to use the restroom. Other than these minor issues, I had a lovely stay. Good job, Super 8. I will likely use you again.
"Will not happen again!"

My husband I travel frequently for dog show competitions. So, weekly I am in search of lodging that will accomodate our canine children. Additionally, we both smoke and finding lodging that is smoker friendly is becoming more challenging. I was absolutely thrilled when I found Super 8 in Medina, Ohio offered "smoking rooms" as well as "2 pets FREE". Even more spectacular was the price - $50 per night. We typically pay between $100-150 per night and have to go outside to smoke. I quickly booked a double occupancy smoking room with 2 pets. My confirmation email included an invoice for just over $60, which was immediately deducted from my account. That was the end of my excitement. This particular Super 8 was less than basic. I've seen nicer "roach motels." Upon checking in, I was told I had to pay $10 per pet, despite the advertised "free pets" inclusion on their website. It didn't seem like such a big deal so I didn't argue. The room was FILTHY! The blankets had burn holes and huge tears. I smoke, but I'm a courtious smoker. I shouldn't be punished with poverty conditions because of an unfavorable choice to smoke. The television didn't work. There were bugs in the room. It was AWFUL! Upon checking out, we our final bill showed a total of $109, twice the quoted price. We were 40 miles away before I looked at the statement. They billed us for 3 dogs, when we only had 2 and charged us an additional $10 for the second person in the room, apparently the quoted price was for "single occupancy" despite the fact I booked for "double occupancy." It will be a desperate day before I ever stay at another Super 8, and I will sleep in my car before I ever sleep in my car before I stay in that one again.

Visiting with friends in the area, used Wyndham Rewards points for three nights. No problems at all. The place is very well kept. AC in the room was good and quiet. Check in was very helpful with suggestions for dinner. Although there is no iron in the room, one was easily obtained at the front desk. The bed was excellent and the quality of sleep very nice. Odd thing though was on the first morning, I had pulled the bed covers up to pillow - kind of a habit from home. When I returned to the room that evening, they had not been touched by housekeeping although it was clearly disheveled and the other bed had been made. I left the bed covers down the rest of the time and the bed was made each time. Also, while there for three nights, the carpet was never vacuumed. The same small piece of paper wrap lay on the floor in the same spot the entire time, joined by a couple like minded pieces of paper over the enxt two days. While we could have picked it up, so would have the weakest of vacuums. The continental breakfast was very weak, but with Bob Evans and Alexandri's virtually across the street, starting the day with a good breakfast was not a problem. I'd absolutely stay again, but maybe bringing a hand vac with me.
"Clean, basic place to stay. Well worth the money-great..."

Clean, basic place to stay. Well worth the money-great value. Easy and convenient access-right off the highway. Nearby dining. Variety and freshness of continental breakfast was not the best, however after notifying staff improvements were made. Would stay again.
