"Great hotel and location"
My wife and I visited Chicago last weekend for the Bears home opener and were very satisfied with our stay at ACME. The location was perfect because we wanted a place close to the Red Line, Michigan Ave, and Navy Pier. Restaurants and shopping are at your doorstep. Rooms were clean with comfortable beds and the hotel staff was incredibly friendly and […] accommodating. I've stayed at several of the hotels on Michigan Ave and will certainly opt for ACME in the future. Book with confidence. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel looks pretty recently remodeled with hip/modern decor. They have *in my opinion, good* music playing fairly loudly in the elevator and lobby adding to the vibe. Room was clean and comfortable. I'd recommend spending a little more and upgrading to the city view if you can manage it. We didn't and the room ended up looking out on an alley with […] another building and not much natural light came in. Hot tub was nice touch, but when I went to look at it, there were some odd stains on the side. That's the only thing about the whole place that didn't seem clean. The coffee shop on the first floor has really tasty pastries and they deliver to the room for a pretty decent fee (also came with juice, yogurt, and fruit) and coffee for free. The bar on the first floor is also cool - good drink and craft beer selection. Location is super close to (public transportation, buses) and within walking distance to a lot of the main sights downtown if you don't mind a stroll. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"LOVE THIS PLACE"
Stayed 2 nights for Labor day. Great location and service. Love the free coffee drop and the inexpensive breakfast drop options. Unfortunately the first night the hotel bar was too full to get a bar seat and the bar was totally closed on Labor day. There are many other wonderful places in the neighborhood so it was not much of an inconvenience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The rock-and-roll vibe was very fun. Loved the decor and the bath products. The room was on the small side, but very clean, comfy, and cozy. Hotel staff was helpful and friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best location, nearby supermarket Jewel is a plus."
Overall it was nice experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is a super boutique hotel! The contemporary decor, the location, the rates, the parking - all perfect for our stay in Chicago! We always stay in this area of downtown and this was our first time staying at the Acme. What a great choice. The front desk staff was fun and helpful. I have already recommended the Acme to others. We'll be back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
great,unique hotelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great trendy place"
I love the hotel but may think twice to recommend it to certain friends, room is not too big and amenities are limited. I like the way the hotel is setup and the decoration, along with the rock/cartoon style but if you are looking for a more luxury american type of hotel it maybe a little bit under your expectations.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"cute little hotel."
Morning Joe thermos for each person in room delivered to the room at no charge. Loved the modern nuvo decor. Well done Acme!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Excellent downtown boutique hotel. Loved the coffee delivered to room in the morning in a thermos. Green bakery attached to hotel is very good. Eataly is on the next street.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is the most amazing Hotel I have ever stayed at. From Evelyn at the front desk to Capt. Carl who gave the best directions and stories! You will enjoy every moment spent at ACME! The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. The room was spotless and oh so charming! The spa area was clean and had everything we needed to relax and unwind. […] Even the elevators were something to enjoy! Stay at ACME and you will enjoy yourself as much as shopping on the Mag Mile! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Look out for construction next door"
I stayed here on business back and in May and loved the hotel so much that I took my wife back for a weekend trip. The coffee service was an our late the first day and never showed up the second day. The WORST part of the trip was the 6:20am wake up call from the building next door. There were pipes being banged all morning! I hope the service was a […] fluke and I hope the construction ends soon. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"totall, it is a very nice hotel"
I will book this hotel again if I go to ChicagoGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Enjoyed everything about this hotel...EXCEPT: getting charged $5 for lifting a can of cashews off an electronic tray! My daughter visited us and picked up the can, exclaimed its "cuteness", and put it back. Apparently the "lift" registered as a "take". Speaking to the front desk took care of the matter, however, and it was immediately taken off our […] bill. Fun place! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel but avoid rooms next to street"
Everything about this hotel was great except for one thing. The rooms facing the street are VERY noisy. I was constantly woken by horns, sirens, the pumping truck outside my window at 6am, etc. It almost sounded like there were no windows at all. I requested to be moved to another room, but the hotel was full. I would stay again, but never with a street […] view room. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

What a fun hotel in a great location!!! The drop and Go coffee was GREAT!!! Located around the corner from the L, walkable to many fun restaurants and bars. We will absolutely stay at the ACME the next time we are in town!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"In the middle of everything."
My stay with ACME Hotel was excellent and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The room was very clean and, the staff was attentive and pleasant. It is located a few blocks from the downtown Loop, and the magnificent mile. If I had to travel more than walking distance from the hotel the nearest train station is conveniently close. The only […] problem I had with my experience was the parking. I drove into the city with the knowledge that I would have to pay for my car to stay in the hotel garage. The problem was that the hotel does not actually own the garage they supply for your car. In order to walk into the garage to get to your car you have to walk around the block through the Hilton hotel's lobby. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We loved everything about this hotel including, price, cleanliness, location, uniqueness, moderness, etc... The only small gripe was the bed must be a foam mattress or something because it slept extremely hot. Would also love 24 hour room service option, but no biggie. Cafe and bar were great to have right there! Will be back if in town.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fun and Comfortable Stay"
Fun, unique hotel. Very comfy bed. One of best hotel bathrooms, especially for the price. Loved the rock and roll theme. Great location for walking all over the place. One block down from Eataly. Within a couple blocks of dozens of great restaurants. Also took a dip in the hot tub, is secluded but a good use of space! The gym looks great too. Very friendly […] front desk and loved the complimentary coffee service. Will stay again if back in Chicago. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"simple and cool."
clean, super cool, everything you need, without frills. steps away from every place you want to be. Next time bring your boxing gloves, there is a heavy bag in the gym. I loved it and would surely book again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Location was great! Little things were not working i.e. the safe, the refrigerator didn't seem very cold. The hot tub was being fixed/cleaned when we were there so we never got to use it. We didn't have a view except of a parking garage and alley. Most of staff was nice and helpful. I called cause I thought I left something in the room and left a message […] and no one called me back. Overall I was pretty happy with the hotel it was little things that didn't work. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central to downtown activities"
hotel was great, but experienced extremely loud eqipment noises from the adjacent parking garage / building. cleaning AC systems and workers screaming. worse than a bunch of drunks... kept me awake 1:30am on.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great hotel and amazing staff, perfect hotel placement and right by a place to rent bikes. Definitely recommend.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

We stayed one night. Our room was bigger than we thought. It is super cool, everybody is great and it is close to everything. You have to pay for parking next door though so add $30 on your bill.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Coolest Hotel in Downtown!"
I stayed at this hotel for the end of my business trip and then for the first few days of our family vacation. We had a great time! The room was fantastic and very comfortable. Staff was helpful and courteous and the location is great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The Acme Hotel is one of the hottest hotels in Chicago ... When we arrived on June 3rd, 2014, it happened to be my birthday, so I asked the girl at the desk if there was any possible upgrade available to a room with a view of the city, not only did she bump us up but put us in a King Suite with a view of the city ... the room was so big and spacious […] !!! The bed was extra comfy also, and the knock and drop coffee delivery was just an awesome touch --- The food at the bakery was also great. I suggest also to go into the Birkshire Bar downstairs, we didn't hit it up until our last night and it was one of the more interestingly fun bars we hit in Chicago. We were able to catch a Cubs game, and basically you walk around the corner and hit the subway which takes you straight to Wrigleyfield for about $4.00 roundtrip. Also a restaurant called Quartino's was so amazing we had to go back twice ... Italian tapas !! the most amazing meatballs, and you can even get half orders of the small plates, so you can really sample so many different items on the menu, so such a reasonable price! Drinks and wine at happy hour were incredibly cheap for such a nice place. So if you are considering the Acme, think no more!! Go, stay, enjoy ... you won't be disappointed! We have average level, suitable for your proposal. The room has a very good size. However, the lack of wardrobes was a problem for storing clothes and shopping. The location is fantastic, next to Eataly, a complex of Italian restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Staff was great everyone I came into to contact with went above & beyond for me. They were very accommodating and location was in walking distance of everything you could want!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Picked place off Hotels.com never having been to Chicago. What a lucky find and would recommend to orher!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed at ACME because it was downtown and was on the cheaper then many of the surrounding hotels. We loved it! The room was modern, contemporary and welcoming. Staff was friendly and eager to assist. The little coffee shop in the hotel was also awesome. We would stay at ACME again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent boutique hotel!"
This was a great place to stay! The price was a bargain over Pride weekend & it was right in the middle of everything. We could easily walk to Michigan Ave for shopping, or State St. I will definitely consider staying here again once I return to Chicago.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"The best lil hotel in town"
Only thing it was missing was a closet if planning to stay longer than a couple of days, otherwise it was perfect! They provided us with robes, carafe of free coffee at your door at whatever time you requested, which was very nice. Loved the decor very clever. I would definetly go backGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Vibey Hotel, Cool Atmosphere"
This hotel is so very cool! It's got an old school vibe, a neon vacancy sign greeting visitors, the staff members wear mechanics shirts, there is a a unique and colorful mural at the check-in counter, and the elevator walls are lined with old album covers from which the "elevator music" is played. Front desk staff was helpful with directions and very […] pleasant to talk to about the history of the hotel, a former Comfort Inn. The rooms are on the small side but they are well laid-out and the bed is more comfortable than most hotels. The decor is very hip and modern, the glowing lips on the bathroom mirror were a great nightlight. The second floor lounge had everything needed while waiting for a room to be ready and the cafe's food was amazing. The table and bench seating was perfect for dining in and the microwave was a plus. Location was ideal for sightseeing. Will definitely recommend and stay again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good hotel @$200 or less"
Small rooms, but new everything inside. Has a unique charm... 50% hard rock hotel, %50 hipster paradise. Great location! 15 floors 10 rooms per floor so not a huge hotel but I would stay there again... If your in your 20's or 30's you'll probably like it as well.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The ACME hotel was so much fun! It made my sister vacation even more special! The rooms were unique and comfortable. We loved the artwork! Our favorite was probably the drop and go coffee/tea service each morning. That was awesome! I would definitely stay again!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"One of the best choices I've ever made"
If staying within walking distance from great restaurants, the Miracle Mile, the riverfront, and Millennium Park would make you happy, stay here! I requested a quiet room & got the 15th (top) floor during a busy Memorial Day weekend. I barely heard bits of random conversation in the hall outside my room, so quiet was what I got! Daily coffee (or hot […] water) upon request, a daily USA Today, West Town Bakery (amazing donuts!) attached to the lobby, cocktail bar The Berkshire Room attached to the other end of the lobby, a block from the Grand Ave Red Line stop, 2 blocks from Trader Joe's, and a half block from Eataly. Honestly, after this stay I likely won't choose any other hotel when I'm back in town. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Very cool and trendy hotel. The lobby bar and coffee drop-off's in the morning were both fantastic. The place can get a bit loud so I wouldn't take kids but a great couples hotel if you are looking to enjoy the Chicago night life. Great bars and restaurants all within a very short walk. I will be staying here my next trip to Chicago.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

it was great...wish we had longer. super cool hotel- funky- fun & upbeat. parking situation is not fun b/c there are no decks that lead right into hotel so you have to park and walk but staff were great, amenitites were greatGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Fun, hip stay. Looking for something different and trendy, this is the place. Great locale too. Rooms are small and quaint. The chalkboard on the door is a great touch too. Free wifi.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great downtown/River North location"
Found this hotel through Chicago Groupon but they were advertising a queen room. Expedia had a slightly lower rate than hotel website for king room so went with Expedia. You can't beat the location if you are interested in being in the River North area - steps from the Magnificent Mile, Rush Street and Chicago River. I would stay here again.Genuine Expedia guest review
