Great location close to Pier 39, cable card, ward, Akcatraz etc. however the room was average. An older hotel with dated furnishings small room. Liked the free parking. Hotel staff was averageGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great Location and Value"
We stayed at the Wharf Inn for 2 nights while visiting San Francisco on our way to Los Angeles. The Inn's location is right on Fisher Mans Wharf, just a short walk from Pier 39 with easy access to public transportation, cable car and tour stops. I felt very safe out walking the whole time we were there- as early as 8:30am and as late as 10:30pm. The […] Inn staff is fantastic! They are very welcoming, friendly and happy to offer advice, answer questions and help in anyway possible. The property itself is old but well maintained and our room was clean. There is free wifi, coffee, tea and hot chocolate (drinks located in the office). Additionally, the free parking is a huge bonus since public/street parking is difficult to find. Now for the downside, as I mentioned this is an older property, the beds were uncomfortable and the shower was low for me (I'm 5'3"). The hotel does not have A/C. However these things would not deter me from visiting again. The Wharf Inn is a great value in San Francisco compared to the more pricey hotels and the location cannot be beat. "good deal for the Wharf"
We were at the Raddison across the street. I asked what they would do keep us another night. They said there normal rate. We went across the street to the Wharf Inn and saved over 100$. the accomadations were more then fare at the Wharf Inn.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Half a block from Fisherman's Wharf."
Wasn't expecting much while walking the corridor to the room. But were were pleasantly surprised that the room was clean with no bad smells. TV worked fine and the shower was good. Best thing is the free parking! The woman even let us keep our car there when were were riding the Big Bus around San Francisco. That's another nice thing about this location […] is the main boarding point for these tour buses is just a half a block away. Had an excellent breakfast just a short walk around the corner at the Beach Street Grill. Pier 39 is just a 3 minute walk. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Location, comfort and helpful service. This hotel is a gem at Fisherman's Wharf. It is a older and small hotel that is close to everything. The "F" Line trolley is right outside, the Powell St Cable Car is two blocks away and Fisherman's Wharf is a short one block walk. The rooms are not big but well furnished, a little dated but clean and well taken […] care of. The hotel front desk was very helpful in giving directions, dining suggestions and calling for a cab when needed. I will definitely stay there again on my next trip to San Francisco. "Close to Fishermans Wharf."
Close to many activities at the Wharf. Security is very good & great parking!Genuine Expedia guest review
We went to SF for a Giants game, and the Wharf Inn is a great spot for that. The F streetcar stops right by the hotel, so getting to the game is a snap. Getting back, we just reversed our route, but be aware that the F car only runs every 15 minutes at night (seemed more like 20-25). Our room was on Mason...my mom's room and my brother's room were on […] Beach. Mason was pretty noisy, but the Beach St. rooms were quieter. The room was very clean and comfortable (I gave it a 3 due to street noise). No coffee! (there is coffee in the lobby) The walls are a bit thin...we could hear the guy snoring next door and footsteps upstairs. All-in-all, we'll stay again, but we'll request a 3rd floor room along the Beach St. side. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Old but clean"
Old and dated from the 70's. But the place was clean and fairly comfortable. No extras here (iron, fridge, etc) but it was fine for the price. Location was a bit loud but the staff was extra helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and free parking"
The value of this hotel is remarkable. It's steps away from Fisherman's Wharf and has free parking. There are a limited number of spots. I'm sure they fill up during busy times. We arrived in the afternoon, and there were several open.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Yes, the Wharf Inn is older and not fancy, but FOR THE MONEY it is the best place to stay in Fisherman's Wharf. Our room had a view of a concrete wall which we loved because we had no traffic noise at night. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and very helpful. We were half a block from the best restaurants, Fisherman's […] Wharf and Pier 39 and all they have to offer. We will definitely stay here again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Complete false advertising. Hotel not as described"
We arrived at the hotel and were looking forward to the stay. The hotel has a great location, free parking and wifi. We had looked at the hotel web site and the rooms were advertised as spacious and clean. The photos are what convinced us to stay there. When we checked in the lobby was not very clean, not dirty but definitely not well maintained. We […] went up to the room and opened the door. The room was very small, had old carpet and old bed coverings. Not dirty but not very nice and not what the pictures described. We have stayed at better rooms in the heart of bad parts of big cities for 20 bucks a night. The room was so bad that we immediately left, went next door and paid for a room at the Sheraton. We had prepaid the room at the Wharf so were pretty much stuck for the fee. We left our car in their free parking and picked it up the next day. Sheraton was great. Do not stay at this hotel if you want a nice, spacious room with newly painted walls, new carpet and new bedding. Do stay at thus room if third rated rooms are okay and you are looking for location. "Great location, boring hotel"
Our room view was of a brick wall. Our room was small and dingy. No A/C and it was 85 degrees. On the plus side, you are absolutely within walking distance of Ghiardelli Square, Pier 39 and Pier 33 for Alcatraz. Fishermans Wharf is fun and convenient! Very high price for very little else but location! Not even a hair dryer in the room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wharf Inn - Great location!"
A great location with free parking; close to the Wharf, not close to the cable cars, no air conditioning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice stay in s.f."
I saw nothing really wrong with the place. Enjoyed our stay n would stay again. I'm so glad we found this site or would not hav been able to stay at the wharf so close. Because of price the last time had to stay in Oakland n take Bart over Thk u very much. Liked to hav had a few of wharf , can't hav everything.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great staff great location"
I was really surprised how close the hotel is to the wharf. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the bed was pretty comfy as well. If the shower hadn't been so weak this would have been a 5 out of 5 for me.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, friendly staff, very clean"
Truly helpful staff, managed earlier check-in and slightly later check-out, cleaning staff doing a great job, location at Fisherman's Wharf second to none.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good spot at Fishermans Wharf."
It is a block from Fishermans Wharf and 3 blocks from the cable car stop. Perfect location for getting it all done in SF. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and the price was right.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Older but nice .."
We stayed at the Warf Inn and we knew in advance it was an older building, but it was nicer than we expected. Very clean and well kept. The location is fantastic if you are visiting the Fisherman's Warf area. and they have in site parking which is a huge plus. I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location location location"
The location of this hotel is worth the price of admission. Walking distance to Fisherman wharf and pier 39 and ghiradelli square. Free parking is a real plus if you happen to be driving. Definitely no frills; ice machine only on bottom floor, shower door didn't close, run down decor and carpet. But it was clean and relatively quiet. We had a street […] facing room so at about 6am we started hearing workers down below. But our 9 month old slept pretty soundly so we were happy. Also you have to swipe your key card to access the elevators, which helps keep some if the unsavory types out. All in all, if you want a place to sleep with great access to the sights and you don't want to pay an arm and a leg, this is your place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A PLACE TO STAY CLOSE TO EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO DO"
THE HOTEL WORKED OUT GREAT, IT WAS CLOSE TO THE THINGS WE WANTED TO DO. WE DROVE WHERE EVER WE WANTED AND WALKED TO THE OTHER PLACES WE WANTED TO SEE.. EVERYTHING ON THE EMBARCADERO WAS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE SO IT WORKED OUT GREAT. MOST EVERY THING ELSE WAS WITHIN A $10 TAXI RIDEGenuine Expedia guest review
I was a little nervous to stay at this place in the beginning because it's an older hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was very accomodating. There was plenty of parking available and the PARKING WAS FREE. The other hotels near Fisherman's Wharf charge you a rediculous price just to park […] your car, even when you're a guest at their hotel. I was insulted by another hotel when they told me to pay $45 per night just to park my car. That's insane. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel but NOT pet friendly!"
Or friendly at all for that matter! I'll give it to this place, its a bargain! Nice digs, super location, free parking! I guess that's why the staff thinks they can get away with having horrible attitudes. Although the hotel will allow dogs, they have lots of strict policys that are not displayed on third party booking sites. Don't bring your dog if […] you want to leave the room without him/her...which in Fishermans Wharf makes no sense. You can't see the sights or eat at the restaurants with a dog in tow, so what's the point of being there in the first place? Don't try to sneak out either because there's only one way out and the staff watches you come and go. The moment the woman checking me in learned I had a dog, she was rude, demanding and condecending...but she wasn't half as wreched as the man that called me when I snuck out to get a bite to eat with out my dog. He was bitter, snarky, catty and just plain aweful. If you have pets, its worth the extra money to stay somewhere else. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

I have to admit that the room did smell of urine....I had read that in another review and just did not believe it....well...it was true...I really think it could be fixed quite easily if they did a thorough cleaning of the bathroom and carpet.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Everything was good, except the elephants above me"
The location and the free parking is why I chose this hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet until about 10:00pm when the upstairs, 3rd floor people came. It was so noisy, even with our tv turned up. Every time they walked across their 3rd floor room, the ceiling fan shook and the noise sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling! […] This went on for over an hour. Even with ear plugs in to sleep, we could hear the loud feet of our neighbors. If you decide to stay here make sure you are the ones on the 3rd floor! "SF Giants Weekend with the family"
Nice hotel, great staff. Rooms are decently sized but decor is dated (picture in the lobby from 1982...). Great staff and service with a fair price. Everything we needed they had. Free wireless, free parking, right at the Wharf within walking distance of great food, shopping, entertainment.. About 2-2.5 miles from AT&T park, which took about 30-40 minutes […] with a stroller. Very few hotels in SF have free parking, and most charge $25+ per night. If you can do without a flat screen TV & a fancy tiled bathroom, stay at this hotel and save yourself some scratch. The location is perfect and the free parking is a perk. However, the room was very small. I asked about the King room that was pictured online and was told that if we didn't request the bigger room they just gave the rooms out on a first served basis. Our room was very tiny and there is no AC and it was a warm week so the room was uncomfortable during […] the day. Our window faced a wall so no view and that was not very pleasant. Great Location! Pillows were awful!!! Rooms are small and simple. Location is the best feature here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a pleasant stay at the Wharf Inn. It is in a great location and provides free parking, which is difficult to find in San Francisco. Room was clean and well maintained. Staff was quite friendly and helpful. Parking was free and the location amazing. We will stay here again in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For a older hotel I found it to be pleasant. Nothing fancy and no frills but the service from the front desk, value, and the location made this a great place to stay. I read reviews before booking which was helpful in knowing that I wouldn't get a great view out of my window and that the hotel building was a little outdated but you can't beat the location. My husband and I parked the car once we got there and walked to Pier 39 and other locations literally within 5 min walk. It was invaluable to be able to go back […] to hotel for quick break and/or drop off souvenirs, etc. Staff was always nice. Felt safe at location. Room was clean and comfortable. "Fisherman's Wharf hotel stay - Dreadful !"
The shower head was broke so we could not adjust it. It got down into the low 50's that night and the heater did not work, it blew cold air. There were only 2 flattened pillows on the king sized bed. There was no coffee pot, no iron, no ironing board, no micro wave. The hot water temperature fluctuated from warm to very hot while showering. The staff […] were not friendly at all. For the price per night I expected more and better ! I will never ever stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I have stayed in this Inn previously and overlooked the dingy atmosphere because of the location and service and booked it again. Partially because it is billed as "pet friendly" and partially because of the location. This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had..bar none. The service was awful, the staff abusive and at one point when […] my dogs barked at 4 in the afternoon because of knocking outside in the hallway, the manager recommended that I muzzle them. Apparently I can't un-recommend this place but if I could, I would..I will run out of words before I can describe how awful this experience was. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf. The room was clean. My only issue was that the walls are very thin. You can hear the people above you. When they were talking, it sounded like they were in my room. Otherwise, it is as advertised.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
