"Great room for a great price"
We arrived early Sunday evening and where very pleased with the service, advise and friendliness of the manager on duty. There was alot of street noise till about 10 and then everything seemed to settle down and we enjoyed a good nights sleep. It was great being so close to transportation and good food.We felt that there was alot of security.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Can't beat the location. Free parking is a plus. Convenient to all that we want to do.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location at the Wharf."
They need to invest in dual pain windows and insulated doors, VERY LOUD. There are two trash compactors right next door to the rooms that get used at night, all night. All you here is metal banging.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The easy Fisherman's Wharf stay"
Pretty much what I expected after reading other Expedia user reviews. Generally a clean, up-kept room. Friendly and helpful staff. Hassle-free parking. No views of the bay. In fact my room had just a view of a back wall, but it did not matter since I was just there to sleep. No air conditioning.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Noisy and sub par for the price"
Worst night of sleep we've ever had in a hotel...and we travel a lot. I had called early in the day informing them we would be arriving late and to, please, not save us the worst room (I knew they were fully booked). When we checked in the clerk was speaking with a guest. When the guest left the clerk turned to me and said, "I just gave you his room. […] Don't tell him I switched you guys. I've given you the room with a patio and view of the ocean." The patio was correct, the view was a joke. The room was one floor above the street which was noisy all night with homeless folks, drunks, and garbage trucks emptying dumpsters. The room was unbearably hot even though this was November in San Francisco and raining outside. When I reported it to the front desk he said he'd have to "turn off the boiler". Nonetheless we had to sleep with the window cracked which made things even noiser. A little symbol of the quality of this place was the ice bucket had no lid. I asked if we could get one with a lid. "They're all that way", he said. Huh??? To be clear, I would not complain if we were paying $85 a night. But for $235 a night...We left early the next morning and stayed in the marvelously clean, efficent, quiet Holiday Inn a few blocks down for $15 a night more. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to everything very nice front desk people"
Kinda noisy but we were only there for one night so it worked out well. Did not have to use our car and there was off street parking. The desk clerk let us check in early and leave our car the next day for a while after check out which was awesomeGenuine Expedia guest review
Clean comfortable rooms with a fantastic location.Genuine Expedia guest review
The stay was great. Daytime guy at the front desk was great and got us into our room early. The bed was comfy and the pillows were even better. The property is old and clearly has seen better days but.....location, location, location. If Fisherman's Wharf is what you want....this is your place.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

we have stayed at the warf inn several times, the location cant be beat and they are one of the few hotels in the city that Dont charge to park your car. this is a big savings. a bit noise from the street happenings , but thats also part of its charm. we love to people watch from the balcony. only a few rooms have a balcony so you have to request it. "Staying at the Wharf"
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for a visit to the Wharf area and the tolly is a short walk to make the rest of the city very accessible.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Closest place to Fishermans Wharf"
We stayed as close to the Wharf as possible due to some physical disabilities. The best part of our stay was the super, congenial office staff, who went out of their way to make sure we were accommodated on our stay. Additionally they were fun to chat with and we would stay again. The hotel is older, but clean and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Serves the purpose!"
After scoring tickets to Game 5 of the World Series, we decided to stay the night. We stayed here years ago and knew it was an older hotel. Yes, it could stand to be updated, but it is clean and we love the location because it is steps away from Fisherman's Wharf. Better yet, they have FREE PARKING, which in San Francisco is a HUGE perk. for the They […] also offer free wi-fi and free coffee in the lobby 24/7. The staff is very friendly! "Exceptionally poor value for the price - stay away"
Old, fifties-era motel that is charging sky high rates. Rooms are cramped, not updated, no air conditioning. Needed a/c because the windows could not be left open due to privacy issues (old style breezeway) and noisy street environment. Bathroom was clean but linoleum was peeling in corners. Bathroom was primitive. Water temp varied wildly; risk of […] burns from scalding water. Television had few channels and no HD - ok for a low rent motel but just added to the frustration for the prices charged. Mattress was uncomfortable. Carpet was old and filthy dirty. Street noise was excessive and ran past 2 am. Street around motel is very dirty, with garbage smells and numerous homeless people sleeping on sidewalks and panhandling. Very uncomfortable walking at night. Staff was polite but refused to address any issue. This place needs to go away for good. I'm embarrassed that I was defrauded so badly, and have to write such a review. I love San Francisco, but this should just not happen. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Pros:Close to many attractions. Free parking and coffee Cons: Very noisy, stay away from rooms 201 & 301(elevator noise), no A\C, rooms a little outdated.Genuine Expedia guest review
Walking distance to main attractions. Don't expect much for under $500 BC you are in SF! Tea/coffee complimentary. Beds in 301 were very comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Review of the Wharf Inn across from Pier 39"
The location of the hotel was optimal!!!!!!!!!! The hotel itself was a little old and probably needs some upgrades but had all the necessities. For the most part it was acceptable for our needs. "On the Wharf"
Being half a block from Fisherman's Wharf is the best. Can go in and out all day. The Wharf Inn is a comfortable be it older hotel but the rates are much more reasonable than the big name hotels in the area. The staff is very nice and helpful. All in all a very pleasant stay.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room did not smell good. The location is great but in my opionion the Inn needs to be torn down and started over. The location is wonderful just needs up grading.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location. Total rip-off. Stains on bed spread, musty, smelly rooms, dirty carpets, etc. etc.. And for over $300? What a joke. Next time we'll stay in the East Bay - pay waaay less - and have a clean room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Friendly, comfortable and convenient"
We stayed for only one night, but the hotel location was wonderful for a two-day visit in San Francisco. The hotel offers free parking for customers and we were able to leave the car from 3PM the day of arrival until 3PM the day of departure, using the F train streetcar to get to and from Pier 39 to Market Street, as well as the cable car for the traditional, […] must ride trip from the Hyde Street terminal. "close to Wharf and tour buses"
The hotel clerks were so nice and helpful. The hotel is an older hotel but the rooms were clean. I am from Texas and expected air conditioning so rooms were a little warm until later in evening then no a/c needed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
the price was expensive and the rooms were small. This motel is right next to the embarcadero which was pleasing, but not worth the price at all.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good price for the location."
It's really close to the wharf which is great. The hotel itself is okay at best though. No A/C, so make sure not to get a room facing the brick wall, cause it blocks all of the breeze and fresh air. And there's no screens on the windows, so I got ate-up by mosquitos. "Wharf Inn Rating"
We stayed over labor day weekend and the staff was clearly dedicated professional and accommodating, however the room was old (tube TV, laminate flooring in the bathroom) and depressing. I think there is better value elsewhere however kudos to the staff once again.Genuine Expedia guest review
Room was small and thin walls. Also the price of one night was very high.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not a place for light sleepers"
The location is great since it's in Fisherman's wharf. On the other hand, it also means there are a lot of cars and buses running day and night...also you can hear everything from your upstairs neighborGenuine Hotels.com guest review
We had an excellent stay at the Wharf Inn. It is an easy walk to Pier 39 and has a lot of restaurants around it. The staff was great, an easy check in and we accidentally forgot our cell phones in the room and the staff took care of it and sent them to my home address. I would highly recommend this hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Location, location, location"
The hotel facilities were mediocre. The room was small and aging, although some remodeling was done in the bathroom. The AC didn't cool the room sufficiently. The speed of the ceiling fan was either too strong or to weak, no medium. The saving graces of this hotel was the free parking and its location in the heart of the fisherman's wharf neighborhood.
