"Wharf Inn - Great location!"
A great location with free parking; close to the Wharf, not close to the cable cars, no air conditioning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice stay in s.f."
I saw nothing really wrong with the place. Enjoyed our stay n would stay again. I'm so glad we found this site or would not hav been able to stay at the wharf so close. Because of price the last time had to stay in Oakland n take Bart over Thk u very much. Liked to hav had a few of wharf , can't hav everything.Genuine Expedia guest review
"great staff great location"
I was really surprised how close the hotel is to the wharf. The staff was super friendly and helpful and the bed was pretty comfy as well. If the shower hadn't been so weak this would have been a 5 out of 5 for me.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location, friendly staff, very clean"
Truly helpful staff, managed earlier check-in and slightly later check-out, cleaning staff doing a great job, location at Fisherman's Wharf second to none.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good spot at Fishermans Wharf."
It is a block from Fishermans Wharf and 3 blocks from the cable car stop. Perfect location for getting it all done in SF. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and the price was right.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Older but nice .."
We stayed at the Warf Inn and we knew in advance it was an older building, but it was nicer than we expected. Very clean and well kept. The location is fantastic if you are visiting the Fisherman's Warf area. and they have in site parking which is a huge plus. I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Location location location"
The location of this hotel is worth the price of admission. Walking distance to Fisherman wharf and pier 39 and ghiradelli square. Free parking is a real plus if you happen to be driving. Definitely no frills; ice machine only on bottom floor, shower door didn't close, run down decor and carpet. But it was clean and relatively quiet. We had a street […] facing room so at about 6am we started hearing workers down below. But our 9 month old slept pretty soundly so we were happy. Also you have to swipe your key card to access the elevators, which helps keep some if the unsavory types out. All in all, if you want a place to sleep with great access to the sights and you don't want to pay an arm and a leg, this is your place. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A PLACE TO STAY CLOSE TO EVERYTHING YOU WANT TO DO"
THE HOTEL WORKED OUT GREAT, IT WAS CLOSE TO THE THINGS WE WANTED TO DO. WE DROVE WHERE EVER WE WANTED AND WALKED TO THE OTHER PLACES WE WANTED TO SEE.. EVERYTHING ON THE EMBARCADERO WAS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE SO IT WORKED OUT GREAT. MOST EVERY THING ELSE WAS WITHIN A $10 TAXI RIDEGenuine Expedia guest review
I was a little nervous to stay at this place in the beginning because it's an older hotel, but I was pleasantly surprised by this place. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was very accomodating. There was plenty of parking available and the PARKING WAS FREE. The other hotels near Fisherman's Wharf charge you a rediculous price just to park […] your car, even when you're a guest at their hotel. I was insulted by another hotel when they told me to pay $45 per night just to park my car. That's insane. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel but NOT pet friendly!"
Or friendly at all for that matter! I'll give it to this place, its a bargain! Nice digs, super location, free parking! I guess that's why the staff thinks they can get away with having horrible attitudes. Although the hotel will allow dogs, they have lots of strict policys that are not displayed on third party booking sites. Don't bring your dog if […] you want to leave the room without him/her...which in Fishermans Wharf makes no sense. You can't see the sights or eat at the restaurants with a dog in tow, so what's the point of being there in the first place? Don't try to sneak out either because there's only one way out and the staff watches you come and go. The moment the woman checking me in learned I had a dog, she was rude, demanding and condecending...but she wasn't half as wreched as the man that called me when I snuck out to get a bite to eat with out my dog. He was bitter, snarky, catty and just plain aweful. If you have pets, its worth the extra money to stay somewhere else. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to sites at Fishermans Wharf"
Hotel location was Convenient to bus lines, trolley car, Fishermans Wharf and McDonalds. Room was clean and the service was good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
I have to admit that the room did smell of urine....I had read that in another review and just did not believe it....well...it was true...I really think it could be fixed quite easily if they did a thorough cleaning of the bathroom and carpet.Genuine Expedia guest review
Free parking and they let you stay most of the next day too. Perfect location for all that we wanted to doGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Great location. Run down rooms. It is what it is . It's the cheapest hotel with a location right in the right spot. It is run down. Almost scaryGenuine Expedia guest review
"Everything was good, except the elephants above me"
The location and the free parking is why I chose this hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet until about 10:00pm when the upstairs, 3rd floor people came. It was so noisy, even with our tv turned up. Every time they walked across their 3rd floor room, the ceiling fan shook and the noise sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling! […] This went on for over an hour. Even with ear plugs in to sleep, we could hear the loud feet of our neighbors. If you decide to stay here make sure you are the ones on the 3rd floor! "SF Giants Weekend with the family"
Nice hotel, great staff. Rooms are decently sized but decor is dated (picture in the lobby from 1982...). Great staff and service with a fair price. Everything we needed they had. Free wireless, free parking, right at the Wharf within walking distance of great food, shopping, entertainment.. About 2-2.5 miles from AT&T park, which took about 30-40 minutes […] with a stroller. Very few hotels in SF have free parking, and most charge $25+ per night. If you can do without a flat screen TV & a fancy tiled bathroom, stay at this hotel and save yourself some scratch. The location is perfect and the free parking is a perk. However, the room was very small. I asked about the King room that was pictured online and was told that if we didn't request the bigger room they just gave the rooms out on a first served basis. Our room was very tiny and there is no AC and it was a warm week so the room was uncomfortable during […] the day. Our window faced a wall so no view and that was not very pleasant. We were told we had the quietest room in the hotel but I wasn't thrilled by it at all. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect Fisherman's Warf location"
We stayed here for the location and free parking. It was worth it on both accounts.Genuine Expedia guest review
Great Location! Pillows were awful!!! Rooms are small and simple. Location is the best feature here.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We had a pleasant stay at the Wharf Inn. It is in a great location and provides free parking, which is difficult to find in San Francisco. It is not a luxurious room, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. They also provided free wi-fi. The staff was very friendly and anxious to help with suggestions and brochures for the area.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great place to stay"
Room was clean and well maintained. Staff was quite friendly and helpful. Parking was free and the location amazing. We will stay here again in the future.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
For a older hotel I found it to be pleasant. Nothing fancy and no frills but the service from the front desk, value, and the location made this a great place to stay. There was coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available by the front desk. Staff were very accommodating by letting us leave out bags after check out so that we can maximize our day prior to […] going to the airport. Will stay here again. I read reviews before booking which was helpful in knowing that I wouldn't get a great view out of my window and that the hotel building was a little outdated but you can't beat the location. My husband and I parked the car once we got there and walked to Pier 39 and other locations literally within 5 min walk. It was invaluable to be able to go back […] to hotel for quick break and/or drop off souvenirs, etc. Staff was always nice. Felt safe at location. Room was clean and comfortable. "Fisherman's Wharf hotel stay - Dreadful !"
The shower head was broke so we could not adjust it. It got down into the low 50's that night and the heater did not work, it blew cold air. There were only 2 flattened pillows on the king sized bed. There was no coffee pot, no iron, no ironing board, no micro wave. The hot water temperature fluctuated from warm to very hot while showering. The staff […] were not friendly at all. For the price per night I expected more and better ! I will never ever stay there again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I have stayed in this Inn previously and overlooked the dingy atmosphere because of the location and service and booked it again. Partially because it is billed as "pet friendly" and partially because of the location. This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had..bar none. The service was awful, the staff abusive and at one point when […] my dogs barked at 4 in the afternoon because of knocking outside in the hallway, the manager recommended that I muzzle them. Apparently I can't un-recommend this place but if I could, I would..I will run out of words before I can describe how awful this experience was. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel is in a great location, right in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf. The room was clean. My only issue was that the walls are very thin. You can hear the people above you. When they were talking, it sounded like they were in my room. Otherwise, it is as advertised.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"No frills but convenient"
We had a view of a concrete block wall. Rooms are dated, bad romodel, inexpensive furnishings. Minimal extras. If you need an iron, coffee or hair dryer you have to retrieve from front desk. Staff was friendly and helpful!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Perfect for a family on a budget"
When we take trips, we look for free parking and free wi-fi, then select from our choices. The Wharf Inn fit the bill nicely. The beds were firm and comfy, the room was small, but clean and tidy. Being as close to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39, we were surprised that the neighborhood noise was not more, but it was fine. The door to our neighbors room […] was very loud and scared my daughter that someone was coming in our room, but once we explained it, she was fine. Parking was free and the hotel is walking distance to many tourist attractions, as well as the many tour buses that provide an overview of SF. There was a convenience store right across the street for room snacks, and many restaurants within walking distance. We would stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"perfect tourist location"
Within walking distance of Ghiradelli square,Pier 39, cable cars, etc. Windows let in quite a bit of traffic noise but that settles down relatively early. Airport shuttle offered for a fee and they have free parking.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Rooms have no means of air conditioning or air flow; very stuffy and hot. Staff is not very friendly or inviting.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good place for a quick visit."
We had business in town one day plus a night at the Symphony. The motel is very 1960s like (from Wisconsin), but clean and safe-feeling--access to rooms was solely via the elevator that required one's key. Parking was fine and free. The location was great--half a block to all things. Across the street was a Sheraton with a great lounge and outdoor fire […] pits for a drink. All the hotels around are sky-high, so this one was a real bargain, though still steep. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great location! Right at the wharf"
Front desk staff was awesome. Super friendly and answered all questions we had. Our last day there they allowed us to leave our luggage so we could enjoy the day at SF and not worry about pulling a bunch of stuff around. The rooms were comfortable, not updated but had the basics (tv, comfy bed, clock, balcony was a plus). The only thing I would have […] liked was AC. I normally run warm so the ceiling fan didn't seem to cool me down enough. But my boyfriend didn't have any complaints so it could just be me. We were on the side across from 7-eleven. It was a bit noisy at night but it was completely worth it. I would stay here any day. Location was fantastic and with a pleasant staff it was 4 1/2 stars in my book :) oh and free parking!!! "Fair hotel, fantastic location"
Room was very basic - no fridge or coffee making facilities, had to get hair dryer from reception, staff were fine, but location was EXCELLENT! Walk to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39 & trams, cable cars etc. Also free parking was a huge bonus!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice for the Price"
I chose this hotel because of it's free parking which is rare for Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. There was a hair dryer available upon request. Free shampoo, conditioner, and body wash but no refrigerator. Only one ice machine and that was on the ground floor.Genuine Expedia guest review

"ALL About Location!"
We picked this hotel for the location and it lived up to it. We could walk to all the Piers that had everything, as well as the Cable Car pickup and drop off points. Takes 10 minutes to walk to the Alcatraz Pier. Nice to have a 7-11 right across the street too. Covered parking is nice also.As far as sleeping, try to get the top floor as you can here […] everyone walking above you. The tube TV was something out of the 80`s- kinda funny reallly. And you will see your fair share of homless poeple sleeping in the streets nearby. But once again- check in and check out as very easy and the LOCATION is the best! You can't beat the location of this hotel. It is in walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39, Pier 33 (which is where the boats leave for Alcatraz), North Beach and even Chinatown. "a great hotel."
I recently stayed with my boyfriend and son. We had a great stay. We arrived before check in time and they let us leave our car while we walked around the city. Worn down property but rooms were in good shape. Sign on shower door said hot water may not be in constant supply. Adequate supply during our stay. Great location, price, free parking. "Close to the beach. Walking distance to Ghiradelli"
This hotel is pretty nice for the price and location. FREE PARKING!!!! (looked into more expensive hotels and similar price hotels, but they get you with the $50 a night parking)... the hotel is close to many bus stops, so avoid the Big Bus promo on the corner $2-muni $40-Big Bus... take the big bus map and you can still hit all the favorite tourist […] spots. I would suggest walking to most places or the bus.. We walked to Rouge Brewery, great for beer enthusiast. If you are there Thursday nights, check out the science museum; they have a 21& over night event 6-10pm for $12.. the japanese garden is right next to the science museum but it closes around 5... so i recommend taking the bus there (abt an hr ride) check out the garden (no more than an hr to walk the garden) and grabbing a few drinks at the museum... nightlife seems like a hit and miss.. i would suggest yelp to get you to an area and be willing to scan a few places... *if you are willing to drive, russian river brewery is about a 45 min drive, but they have great beer (Pliny the Elder) and Korbel is near it too. "The location was perfect. Room smelled of mold."
Location was great. Left car parked (free) in the parking lot the whole time. We used trolley and buses to tour the area. The Big Bus tour is right on the corner. Double decker bus that gives you a tour of the city, you can get on and off as you wish. Buses come through every 20 minutes. Was awesome not having to deal with traffic. I-Hop is right around […] the corner. The room: They upgraded the shower which was nice. They vinyl was not changed and is old and cut up. The carpet was very dirty and made the room smell like mold. The bed was very comfortable, so once we forgot about the smell, we did okay. The place is old. Needs some upgrades, but there is also much good about it. Worst part was the sign outside the shower that says "Beware temperatures may vary." That gave us a start and made being in the shower a bit nerve wracking. When are you gonna get scalded or frozen?
