This hotel was reasonable value for the price. Breakfast was the usual "white death" stuff, i.e. white bagels, white bread and sugary cereals so you either eat this garbage or spend additional money to find something edible. Family just needed a place to stay on way home. We were pleasantly surprised by getting a large, clean room with modern amenities and a very good breakfast. It was also right off the interstate and near plenty of downtown attractions.

Reasonable selection of restaurants in area, though mostly fast food and gas station food markets. This hotel was nice. Unfortunately when we checked in on Friday night there were several men standing outside the main entrance with their six packs of alcohol drinking and cursing. We had small children with us and we felt uncomfortable. Another thing was that the breakfast was disappointing both days we stayed. Stayed one night at this hotel and was dissatisfied with the physical condition of the room when I arrived. Half of the lights in the room did not work, the shower head sprayed water from the fitting and the towels had black stains on them. The hotel staff were unaccomadating and were more intersted in talking on their cell phones than checking me […] in. I travel quite often and remember once again why I am a Hilton customer. Will not stay at a Choice Hotel if I can help it again. Really poor experience. Read more

Horrible, bugs in the tub. Rusty shower curtain rod. It looks old to say its one of the newest hotels in that area. Service was horrible. The lady had a horrible attitude. Smh, never again. Next time I will go to Baton Rouge.

was going to arrive late so I called the hotel to let them know and if it would be ok,the person was so helpful and polite.and told us the room would be ready when we got there. The room was very clean and nice and we had a great stay. When we go through there again we will be glad to stay there again.

WHEN WE CHECKED IN AND THEN OUT WE WERE NOT GREATED BUT ASKED TO WAIT 20 MINUTES BECAUSE WE WERE EARLY FOR CHECK IN AT 130 PM WHILE THE WHOLE TIME WE HAD TO ENDURE THE BLACK WOMAN AT THE CHECK IN DESK HAVE THIS LONG PERSONAL CONVERSATION WITH A BLACK MAN FROM THE PEST CONTROL COMPANY ,WHEN WE CHECKED OUT MY WIFE DID NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH HER AND ASKED […] ME TO GET A RECEIPT FOR OUR ROOM AND THE SAME BLACK WOMAN GAVE ME A HARD TIME AND TOLD ME I NEEDED TO GET IT FROM EXPEDIA BUT WE DIDNT BOOK WITH EXPEDIA AND AFTER SOME ARGUEING SHE RELUCTANTLY GAVE ME ONE BUT SAID IT WASNT THE POLICY WHICH WAS JUST THE OPPOSITE FROM WHAT WE HAD BEEN TOLD BY THE NICE GUY WHO WAS WORKING NIGHTS ON THAT WEEKEND SHE WAS WORKING THE MORNING SHIFT ON THE 14TH AND 15TH OF OCTOBER 2011 ,I HOPE I NEVER MEET HER AGAIN ,DID I MENTION THAT THE PHONE WAS BROKEN IN OUR ROOM AND THERE WAS ONLY SHAMPOO FOR 1 PERSON NOT 2 AND THAT THE TOILET SEAT WAS ABOUT TO FALL OFF THE TOILET ,WHAT A DUMP !I SHOULD HAVE STAYED AT THE MOTEL 6 CAUSE AT LEAST THEY DONT HAVE BROKE THINGS IN THE ROOM .VERY DISSATIFIED ! The comfort of the room was fine. The location was perfect for my trip to Port Allen but, had I known I would have stayed in Baton Rouge. The room was clean but you could tell that as maintenance issues arose over the years that they took the path of least resistance. Baseboard molding was missing where they ran new telephone wires, the Wi-Fi was intermittent […] at best, the closet still had the folding door track on the floor after the doors had been removed. If you have business in Port Allen stay in Baton Rouge it is only a short drive across the bridge… Read more

Terrible service. Not at all satisfied. I called for an early check in because I was going to a concert. I arrived at 1:00 and the woman behind the desk was very rude and refused to even check that I did in fact call for an early check in. She told us we had to wait until at least 2 and that we could not check in any earlier than that. Also at 1:00 […] when I got there I was told that there were NO clean rooms at all. I didn't believe that not even one room was clean. The next day we left around 2:00 for the second day of the concert and housekeeping was just getting to our floor we left a note on the door saying that our room did not need to be cleaned and that we only needed clean towels. We arrived back around midnight and found that housekeeping had not even given us towels. Front desk didn't seem to care that housekeeping had completely ignored our room. I am a HIGHLY UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!!!! I would not recommend anyone to this hotel and I refuse to stay there again. Read more

We stayed overnight as we were passing through Baton Rouge. The staff was very helpful and the room was adequate. Hotel was under construction at the time of our stay. I would not suggest an extended stay at this time due to all the noise and construction.

Hotel front clark did not know how to handle Expedia reservation, and tried to charge again to my credit card. No restaurant or bar within walking distance. Fairly new building, so all look good for now. Wonder how many customer will return once the building gets old.

Overall I was impressed by the exceptional cleanliness of the hotel and the staffs willingness to accommodate our needs. However for some reason we were given a handicap room which had a shower only. I really missed having a bathtub. In fairness to them we didn't ask to be changed to another room because we were only there for one night. The room also […] did not have a bedside alarm clock which we are used to having in other hotels. Small inconvenience I know, but we had to be up bright and early and it would have been nice.
