I've always been satisfied with Super 8 motels in general and this is no exception. Clean, friendly staff, convenient to airport, bus stop, and food. Free airport shuttle. I'll stay here again, no problem.

I did not check to see if it was all smoke free, and that was my fault. Walking down the hallways was gross. When I got there, the elevator was broke, and I had to walk upstairs to the 3rd floor (the staff did offer to take my luggage, but I didn't take there offer). Located right across a 24 hr store, and the staff was friendly.

I really appreciate the early check in- the hotel employees were very friendly and helpful. The hotel needs updating- the elevator was out of commission - not a big deal for me- but for people with certain conditions - it could be. The room attendants did not clean or re-supply my room one day and one morning there was repair work done outside of my room and the worker never cleaned up the debris resulting in having to walk through it and bringing it into my room on the bottom of my shoes.

The motel is convenient and quiet, but the maid service was sloppy. They removed used towels but did not replace them. The sink and toilet were not cleaned. Coffee was not replaced, nor was the area straightened.

The room was comfortable and clean and the PM staff were helpful and quick getting me into the room. I appreciated the help of a staff member who carried the heavier suitcase to my room. The AM breakfast was substantial and well done. I had an early departure and had to eat and fly but still made it to the ferry terminal in time.

This small hotel has earned it's name SUPER! 8! Great staff, Good location, close to the airport. n my return the shuttle was down and they called a cab to take me to the airport at no charge. Close to the airport, Close to restaurants Close to the Mall. A Mc Donalds next Door and an awesome bakery across the street with the best fresh baked donuts […] and sandwiches anywhere. Our first room had a broken shower fixture. Moved to another room which had a used hypodermic needle in the bed frame. Front desk offered us a suite, but we were ok. The room was near the breakfast room and the t.v. played all night. Very noisy. One hour wait in the Juneau, Alaska rain. Granted the desk clerk said he called a cab because the shuttle was out for a long return. ... well... the cab might have came but I would never have known because there was no announcement, and the clerk did not call back and let me know to expect a cab. Any ways I called back and the "shuttle" showed up promptly. […] Mind you the hotel is .25 miles away. Could not walk there with all the gear I had with me. The check in went fine and the host was nice. I asked to have a smoking room and he changed my reservation no problem. The room was terrible at best. Cig butts and Doritos in the heater, no table to sit at, and the toilet looked like it had never been scrubbed, and it had a brown mold residue. I had to shower but it felt like I should be wearing flip flops. No ashtray, no exhaust fan. In-room coffee maker full of hard water floaties, and with memories of the toilets condition, not usable. Smoking is a dirty habit and sometimes hotels have lower grade rooms for smoking rooms. But there really is no excuse for the condition of the room I stayed in, it simply was the worst room I have ever been in, ever. Terrible, just terrible Read more

Below average, the coffee pot had to be moved to plug it in for use, the receptical would not hold the plug, it would fall out. This is apparently a problem in all rooms. Not enough recepticals and the ones there would not hold a device.For $150.00 I would expect more.

We were very impressed by the friendliness of the staff. The complimentary shuttle from the airport and to our cruise ship was such a blessing in our stressful situation. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and helpful. The room was not the most fancy hotel room that I ever stayed at, but it served its purpose - a clean safe place to sleep and shower. It is close to Mendenhall glacier, a $6 cab ride away. Also close to McDonald's, Nugget mall, and Breeze In (which has awesome salads and pastries, an ATM, and […] also has friendly staff). You can take the Mendenhall Valley bus for $2 from the downtown to the Nugget Mall, walk around to the other side of the mall and the Super 8 is behind the McDonald's. Looking at a 0600 Flight out, I arrived at the Desk at 0425. No one was at the Desk, after calling and thumping on the Desk, I noticed there was a small sign that said "I have stepped away, Call #0" I went to the house phone and Dialed #0. No Answer! I called some more, banged some more and dialed some more. No response. After 15 minuets or so a young […] fellow came out of a room across the hall from the Desk. I said I was anxious to check out and make my flight, he said "You have plenty of time". After pecking at the computer for a while, he produced 3 sheets of paper that required 2 set of initials and 2 signatures. None of the sheets was mine. I asked for a receipt and was told that one would be emailed to me, so far it has not happened. At this point 0455, he proceeded to dial the phone and summon a taxi to take me to the airport. When I asked him why he didn't call the Taxi first, he looked at me with the same expression a Cow would have looking at Television and said, "you have plenty of time". Of course he did not realize that I had a Firearm to declare, wanted to change my seat and get something to eat before my flight. The taxi arrived at 0511. I got the Firearm declared,but not the Seat or Food. Be the Bye, the Internet connection is horrible, it drops out every few Minutes, email is slow and uploads are impossible. I will be returning to Juneau next week for 2 weeks and will stay elsewhere. Finely Read more

This hotel is simple and cost effective. The staff is awesome and friendly. The only down side is there is no air conditioning or wasnt working which when the temprature gets above 80 is a little tough. Over all I would stay again as it's location is so convenient.
