Clean, basic, convenient to highway and downtown and to Binghamton University. Room was large and comfortable; the small fridge was an added bonus. Wireless in room was great. Fine place, decent price, nothing special but better than most motels. The service was very friendly. The pool is in a ridiculously unprivate location (backs onto a gas station); could use a serious privacy fence. Otherwise, though, this is a good buy.
Location.
Situated in Vestal, Parkway Inn is close to Arnold Park, Round Top County Park, and Grippen County Park. Also nearby is Glendale Park.

"Price vs. Amenities equals a good deal."
I regularly stay at what is now the Binghamton Riverwalk Hotel. Due to a last minute plan to be in the area, I was unable to get a room. Since I was traveling with family and small children, the normal crash at a flop house motel was not an option. I chose this location based on reviews and proximity to the event I was attending. Called to confirm my […] room that morning and the desk attendant was very friendly. Upon arrival, I noted that the decor of location was dated to the 1980's but frankly, I'm not worried about what bad painting is on the wall. I care about the bed quality, the staff, and the location compared to the out of pocket cost. Bed quality - clean and comfortable. Staff - extremely helpful and courteous. Location - just off the parkway but easily accessible with quick access to surrounding venues and restaurants. Overall, low on frills and thrills but if all you need is a safe clean room for a fair market cost, I would (and will) use this location again. Read more

This hotel needs some updating and care. It was clean. The bed was comfortable but squeaked at every turn of the night. No hairdryer in the bathroom. I did like the fact that there were two sinks - one in toilet/shower and another next to the bathroom. The manager at checkin was very friendly and courteous. He made it a point to show us to our room. […] The price was certainly a good selling point. Amentities in the bathroom were sparse - soap and shampoo. The hot water was HOT!!! A good fact. "Just what we needed - Parkway Inn"
No complaints for the price! We travel quite a bit and spend easily 30 nights a year in hotels, for this trip we needed easy location, clean and affordable and that's what we got. Quick, pleasant service at the desk even checking in close to midnight. Was nervous at first because it is very dated but truth is the room was very clean and comfortable, […] just stuck in time, lots of food choices close by. "Great little place to stay"
The Parkway Inn was a great little find. Very clean and, though I found the lack of fitted sheets strange, very comfortable. A great value and great location. The staff was lovely too!

"Good value for the basics"
The Parkway Inn provides the basics -- a clean room, and a comfortable bed. The wifi is free and the proprietor friendly and helpful. Not at all fancy or particularly aesthetic, but for the price, no complaints whatsoever.

This is an older motel but the manager goes out of his way to make you feel comfortable. It was clean but some things need updated. Probably the only good deal you'll get in that area.

"Friendly service"
The man working at the desk when we checked in was friendly and very helpful. The room was a bit worn, but very clean and a bit better than I expected for a two star hotel. The decor was very bland, but the room had a microwave and fridge which was great for us as we needed to save a few bucks on eating out along our route. Very good value for the price. Room was very clean.Maintenance was lacking at the entrance, the driveway had big potholes and the mattress could use updated. Owner suggested not to use hotels.com because of him being under paid.
"Nice property, Rude proprietor!"
The motel was nice, room clean, beds okay. Upon arrival, however, I was told by the manager not to use hotels.com for future reservations at his property, because the travel agents do not pay him as much. My husband decided at last minute to stay the night as well, and owner watched us exit our vehicle and upon entering room, phone was ringing. Owner […] was on other end saying he watched us get out of car and that there were three people, not two as reserved and it would be additional fee + tax for the extra person. Nice property with little privacy! We reserved a room with 2 beds...most properties' rates do not charge per person....it has been my experience that you pay for the beds, not the number of people. "It's OK"
Clean enough, no weird smell, very very basic stay. In the middle of the night, 4 kids was talking and laughing so loud outside my door. Tolerated for an hour, and finally had to get up and told them to keep it low.

"can even smell the cleanliness ..."
very simple, basic .... my second time stay ....such a bargain price, definitely stay again .... the furnishing is outdated, the mattress made squeaky sound, but the cleanliness beats them all ....don't know if you can find another one with this condition at such a bargain price ... 100% recommended....

"Parkway Inn in Vestal New York"
Overall our stay was enjoyable, allow the cleanliness of the room could have been better considering what was seen under the beds. There was no hair dryer available in the room and no coffee maker, but in fairness to the hotel, I did not ask if they had either available for our use. The air conditioning unit was not as robust as we would have liked […] given the time of year (August). The hotel was conveniently located and the pool, while not used by us, appeared clean and inviting. For a one night stay at a reasonable price, I would recommend this hotel. Read more
"Good stay for the money."
Although it doesn't look too impressive, our room was very clean and well-kept. Fixtures, carpet, and matresses are all out-dated. Management was very helpful.

Hotel was clean an nice appearance but the beds were horrible we had to get out of bed asap our backs were killing us. We have stayed at other places with no problem so it's not us!
"Grrreat place for the price"
We had to stay in Binghamton for a wedding and just needed a place to sleep for 4 adults & 2 kids (2 rooms), this motel fit the bill. Economical, clean, helpful staff, places to eat nearby, convenient to highways. If you're looking for "fancy" this ain't it! It is dated and there are some "rough edges". The hotel was low cost, but good value for money. The pool was closed (gate lokked), but they opened it when they saw my daughter wearing her swimsuit. We were only staying one night on our way to canada, and had a great stay. Fine restaurant next door. And plenty fastfood places down the road. "Clean, friendly, but ..."
Very nice folks operating the place. Very friendly. The room has very little light. If you open the curtains, anyone walking by can see in because the window is right on the sidewalk. There are no chairs...just beds. We chose not to stay overnight because there was a group of guests "hanging" on the sidewalk outside our room, which was also facing […] a restaurant parking lot that was set up for a large group. :( Not the fault of the motel...but still not ideal. hotel was dated but clean. It was half the price of the chain hotels, but very happy for the cost. Great hotel if on a budget and only need one night. Beds could have been a little more comfortable. Nice that you had a large refrigerator and microwave. Call direct and they might even beat price.

i am no princess, but i do expect a certain level of cleanliness and comfort in a motel. the place was just dirty. from the office to the grounds to the room. it sounded like we were sleeping in the highway, it was so noisy. the shower only got luke warm and the towels were rough and tiny!

This Motel is a great vaule for the price. If you're looking for something fancy this might not be the place for you. If you just need a place to sleep for a night of two then this is a great choice.

Das Motel ist wie man ein Motel erwartet. Kein Shnick Schnak, aber alles was man so braucht. Wenn man Glück mit dem Zimmer hat ist es auch ruhig, aber auch das ist normal. Ich würde wiederkommen.

"Parkway INN - god og personlig betjening."
Det er et motel og derfor med en motelstandard, som der imidlertid ikke er noget at pege fingre af. Hver dag blev der gjort rent og hængt rene håndklæder op, og alt var pænt og ordentligt. Et stort plus var desuden værtens fantastiske hjælpsomhed. Kom over og guidede os igennem en opsætning til vores pc da vi ikke kunne få det til at fungere, og endelig […] var han en stor og uvurderlig hjælp til at fremskaffe min kuffert, der var bortkommet over atlanten, og som først nåede frem på 3. dagen, hvilket var temmelig belastende, da jeg havde pakket min medicin i kufferten, og ikke kunne forlade værelset i flere dage, da jeg intet rent tøj havde. Kun det jeg havde rejst frem og tilbage i, og det var efterhånden godt brugt. Men alt i alt en overordentlig positiv oplevelse, og skal vi tilbage til Binghamton vender vi helt sikkert tilbage til Parkway Inn pga. den helt fantastiske behandling vi fik. Read more
"Parkway Inn Vestal - great value for the price"
Stayed one night only on my way from New York to Detroit and found this motel a great value for the price. The office / reception looked kinda crazy with furniture spread across and without any lights on, but the staff was okey and the room was quite big, clean except for the carpet on the floor. A TV with cable and lots of channels was available […] in the room, I didn't use it, but the receptionist liked to show off all the channels :-) A great thing for me was free wireless Internet - hotels.com site stated "extra" for it, but when I asked the receptionist he gave med a handwritten card with username and password for free. I didn't use the pool, but it looked okey for children, kinda small for grownups. The only bad thing was the very noisy aircon located only two meters from the bed, and without any control switches I could use to turn it off, or at least down. If you need a stay for one night when driving by, you should consider Parkway Inn - I liked it for what it was :-) Read more
