This is our regular hotel each year for a few days between Christmas and New Year's. It's a nice place to stay, convenient for the areas of The Lake where we need to go, and the indoor pool is terrific for getting the cousins together in wintertime. Kudos on this trip to the hotel staff for settling a tricky problem. After booking the reservation our […] dates changed so I had to cancel and rebook and accidentally booked the wrong room type. I needed to change rooms. This caused a minor issue due to the way the hotel's system works. Breakfast is ok. Not the best. They do offer biscuts and gravy. Pillows have been downgraded to pillows the size of couch pillows. Air purifiers in the smoking rooms do not work. leaving the horrible smoking smell in the rooms.

This was a three-night visit between Christmas and the New Year, so the hotel wasn't at all crowded, though we did see several people at breakfast each morning, so it certainly wasn't empty, either. The hotel location was good for our visit, since our family is in the Camdenton area. Restaurants very nearby were mostly fast food chains, but the four-lane highway to Osage Beach makes easy access to better restaurants and entertainment options. The indoor pool was a plus for us; with teenagers in tow and cousins in the area, the hotel became a central meeting place. Good location for area hiking. Less than 10 miles from HaHa Tonka, area caves and other parks. Indoor and outdoor pools are small, but were not crowded while we were there. Would stay there again.
