Anchorage hotels are expensive and it is hard to find a decent one at a reasonable price. This place fits the bill. I have stayed at about five lower price hotels in anchorage and keep coming back to here. It is clean and modern. It is just minutes from downtown and is just a few miles from the airport.

The entire hotel smelled of cigarettes, and the breakfast room is located on the smoking floor--the smokiest floor of them all. The heat was set high, and couldn't be adjusted, but the room was clean and the bed quite comfortable. Breakfast buffet was bleak. Cheerful, helpful staff.

The room was dirty the floor had terribl stains the bed had a stain running down the mattress and into the box springs underneath as if someone had bled all through there or pooped down the mattresses, the rooms furnature had stains on the seats and back.

My wife and I used to stay here over 15 years ago while working at Prudhoe Bay and I recently went back. It is just as I remembered it. The room was clean and quiet, the breakfast was great and it is only minutes from the airport. I will be staying here again I am sure.

the manager was great the staff was great . One staff was new but all questions answered all concerns resolved . Mary the breakfast lady is well informed & Very helpful . if you're going to stay in Anchorage with a service animal this is the best and only place to stay in Anchorage !!!Will tell all my friends to stay at this place !

Such a pleasant stay ! all employes were so helpful and friendly all went out of there way to make the stay very special. Rooms were above average in cleanleness although some furnishings were a bit woren. I will surely stay at this location again when in the area - good value for youy'r dollar !

Nice quiet place to stay. Within 5 min drive from the airport. Betty and Larry were superb. They were friendly and helpfull. I will stay there again when I go up to Anchorage.

Comfortable accomodations for what we were looking for (a jumping off place for the rest of our vaction). Convenient shuttle service to airport. Breakfast was included but it was a bit boring with nothing hot available.

Was priced right - Anchorage is expensive in the summer. Not a luxury accommodation, but we used it as a hub for sightseeing and just needed a place to sleep and clean up. Motel was clean, and the included breakfast was par - not as good as Holiday Express. The location is a ways to downtown, but most visitors to Anchorage would have a rental car. Housekeeping staff did a spotty job. Never vacuumed my room once in five days. Didn't provide shampoo. Only one cup of coffee per day provided in-room. Room was very hot -- couldn't turn it down. It was as if the entire hotel had hell in the basement.

What I booked with Expedia was not what I got. I booked a Non-Smoking Room and was given a Smoking Room. The hotel had no other rooms to offer us and was very sorry for the inconvience and stated this happens alot when you book on-line. Very poor overall. There were holes in the carpet, patches in the walls and doors, it was not what I was expecting from Super 8 or Hotels.com. The kicker was being booked into a smoking room, without my permission when the room was booked, then not letting me switch into a non-smoking room.

The hotel halls are not kept very clean. The smoking and non-smoking rooms within the hotel are mixed so there are no hall that don't smell like smoke.

We stayed at this motel primarily due to the closenes to the airport and the 24 free airport shuttle service. We took advantage of that service for a 5:00 am take off. The staff was very helpful and couteous.

To those who are going to Alaska for climbing, Super 8 is a convenient choice, very close to the main climbing shops: REI and AMH.

on arrival lobby and halls were very warm, even staff was complaining. entering my room it had to be over 90 degrees. Found thermostat on FULL. Turned it off and opened windows. Air conditioner so LOUD, couldn't sleep with it on. Slept on top of bed all night. Wasn't really comfortable heat until time to leave next morning.

Read the reviews thinking this would be a good place to stay since we had our dog with us. The room was non-smoking but the rooms beside us were not and our room plus the hallways reeked of smoke. Room would not cool down, ended up having to open the window to get fresh air. I am not sure when the last time the carpets had been vacuumed- I would not […] take off my shoes to walk on the floors. The daytime clerk was very nice, the night time clerk was VERY rude. We are smokers and had a cat with us, so our inexpensive choices were limited. I found the staff helpful and friendly. The room was showing a bit of wear and tear biut was not bad. The charge per pet per night is a bit high, particuarly if you have more than one pet.

We were there for three days so my husband could have back surgery. First day I asked about hair salon and krista told me about dolphin hair salon they did a fantastic job. Then my husband couldn't go anywhere after surgery so we had to stay an extra night. They accommodated us perfectly. They always were pleasant to talk to. Great time

Accommodations comfortable enough, nice brkfst room, staff attentative - courteous, I felt secure and safe, convenient parking for vehicles. My smoking room stunk like tobacco strongly but I got a jug of freebreeze and all was well for the rest of the 3 nites I was there.

A good hotel they just need to improve on their airport shuttle driver I had to wait 20 minutes in the hotel lobby for the shuttle van and then another five after shuttles return on the way out to the airport the driver was eating a cookie that was distracting her from driving and paying attention to the road.

Overall, the quality of this hotel is what you'd expect for being so cheap. But, just because you have a non-smoking room doesn't mean your room and the entire floor you're staying on isn't filled with cigarette smoke. Yuck! I couldn't wait to check out. It's worth paying more for another hotel.

The hotel was in a great location only about 12 minutes from the airport. There is also a 24 hour shuttle service between hotel and airport. Great family restaurant nearby.

However, they charge a ridiculous fee per dog per night. And the front desk and housekeeping staff are prone to smoking both directly outside the main entrance as well as the side entrance doors. This is most unpleasant for non-smokers, as is the stench in the hallways from people smoking in their rooms. There was trash from prior guests under the beds […] (housekeeping never cleaned it up during our visit). We were on the top floor (no smoke odor in the hall or the room - nice!), and the room was unbearably hot. The thermostat was off, yet the heater kept cranking out the heat. With a kid and the dogs, we only cracked the screenless window a small amount, hoping to rely on the air conditioner. That was a bust - the contraption sounded like it was on its last legs, so we had to sleep with it off. And then there was the constant dripping of water from a downspout directly onto the exterior portion of the air conditioner. Like Chinese water torture. Granted, I never called the front desk to point any of this out (why? no clue), but when I checked out, the clerk was very apologetic and said I totally should have told them so they could remedy it. Great customer service. The beds were actually quite comfortable (not at all saggy, nor were they rock hard). Read more
