Hotel is older and one elevator was out of order. The restaurant was more of a bar which lowers the rating, but breakfast in the morning was good. The exercise room and indoor pool was nice.

First evening of the two-day stay went very well for my fiance, and I was very pleased with hotel for her use. The second night changed that altogether. Unruly youths were loudly running in the halls and banging on her door at 1 a.m.. They persisted in trying the door freaking her out until she called the front desk. The situation was resolved, but […] hotel management made no effort to apologize or follow up with any concerns or recompense or acknowlegement that the night should have gone better. Yes, kids will be kids, but that should be the hotel's liability not the customers. Very poor follow up. This is unfortunate as it's an otherwise pleasing historic hotel. Read more

Went to see the Providence Bruins play the Phantoms. Had a good dinner before the game at the hotel ... 2 minute walk to the game ... and fun at the hotel bar after the game. Town is wonderful.

The old heating system kept all of us awake all night. So, we shut it off trying to get some sleep, but then we were cold, and we had to turn it back on. There were no extra blankets in the closet. The room was tiny and very old, the bathroom was so small that I had to take a shower sideways, and the tub would not drain so I was always stating in water. Also the shower leaked so I had to stick a towel in the shower and close the bathroom door or else it was like Chinese water torture. There was NO INTERNET in the rooms you had to go to a wifi […] area or use their computers which was very inconvenient. The food at the restaurant was ok not worth the price for sure. I found dried /washed blood spots on my sheets which was gross. The room was also lacking outlets so charging devices was a pain. I am used to staying at Holiday Inn Expresses or Marriotts so my standards are high, but if I am ever in the area again I will not stay there as it is not for business travelers. Read more

The room was clean and the only hotel associate interaction was with the front desk clerk who was very pleasant. However, the incredible noise from the elevator caused me to wake every time it was used and the squealing of the shower made me feel like I was part of the movie The Shining. But these are the things that make a getaway an adventure.

This hotel was supposedly a "premium property" when a friend of mine lived in Glens Falls years ago. But it's clearly past its prime now. It looks from the outside like a converted school or hospital. And though the lobby is interesting and nicely appointed (in a retro sort of way) the rest of the hotel looks to be about as old as it is. The room was […] large, and mostly clean, but the furnishings are old, and pretty worn, the beds and mattresses are very noisy and well past their useful life, and sound travels pretty freely within the hotel, as was typical in all properties built in that time. The staff was friendly, and they did provide free WiFi. It is near the Downtown area, in what looks like a mostly residential area. But in general, I'm afraid there wasn't much to recommend the place. I would probably not stay there again, unless my only alternative was a Motel 6. Read more

I read a somewhat negative review before booking the room, but stayed there anyway because it is a luxury hotel. I have three major complaints. 1. The beds need to be replaced--the mattress on one bed was hard and you could feel the springs, on the other bed the mattress was so worn that when you sit down sinks. 2. The toilet is too close to the wall […] despite the large bathroom layout, it might have been okay but the TP dispenser poked you in the ribs and all it needs to be is relocated. 3. The walls are thin. You probably can hear people having coitus if they are not careful. I could have asked for a different room, I know they would have given me one. I felt that it would be pointless, given the complaints I had read were true for the other person, so it would be pointless. All that said, it was way better than Travelodge, and most Super8 or Motel6 and the pool and restaurant were awesome. And I could breathe very well because they don't use harsh cleaners with too much perfume, and the view was terrific. Read more

An old hotel with character is a nice change from the interchangeable chain hotels. The Queensbury is in a quiet section of Glens Falls, although very close to excellent restaurants and the Hyde Collection (fantastic art museum). We had booked a Queen bed room for 2 people. The hotel is clearly not set up for couples. The bed was very small - we were told this was; "our queen bed room". The hotel was right next to a bunch of little shops, food, shopping, etc. The hotel was clean, looked exactly like the picture. We save 70.00 a night using hotels.com. No continental breakfast which gets costly as a family of 5 and we had to ask for shampoo, conditioner and body soap.

Needs to be modernized, furniture from 1970's, stains all over rug, old squeeky beds that sound like they have a quarter machine attachment. Was waiting for the twin girls to appear at the end of hallway and say "play with us Danny".....need I say more? Gordon Ramsey....where are you?

The hotel's history shines through. Easy to imagine the grandeur of yesteryear. Maybe a little too easy. Hotel entry is dated (wooden entry doors are beat up and simply painted over). Room was very spacious and clean, but again, very old woodwork, tile, shower etc merely given another coat of paint. Perhaps some of the other rooms have been truly modernized, […] but ours was definitely not. But fair to say that the room was clean and comfortable, soft linens etc. A little more than a fresh coat of paint over 1950's is needed to get the rooms up to modern standards. We discovered the Queensbury as a great place to stay in August, with reasonable rates and good amenities that's close to Saratoga when we wanted to go there but with plenty of interesting things to do and see right around it in the Glens Falls area.

Hotel was beautiful - mattress on bed sagged a bit on the edges - and bathroom was not designed properly in room 448 - toilet and wall were too close - otherwise I had no complaints except that only one room was ready at the 3 pm check in time so we had to put everything in one room until we returned later that night and move into the other room. I lived next to this hotel for years and always thought it was a fancy place to stay and expected more from the Queensbury Hotel. We reserved a Queen size bed and instead got two full sized beds. My wife and I were too tired to make a fuss and after 10 days on the road we could use a night apart. The beds both felt like they were about to collapse. […] I was afraid to move all night as was my wife in the other bed. Both beds both seems run down and perhaps to small for the box spring. I told the kid working the counter in the morning and he just brushes it off and said that he'd have maintaince look at it. No attempt to reconcile or make it up to me. I should have made a bigger deal that night but after 10 days of staying in hotels I was just tired to care especially after the Bates motel I stayed in the day before. I know the hotel is one of the oldest establishments in Queensbury/Glens Falls area but I had always expected a higher level of caliber from them as I had done many meetings for work downstairs. The pillows were old and lumpy and the fitted sheets on both beds came off during the night (which normally doesn't happen when we sleep). High Expectations ---> Disappointment Read more
