This was a completely OK hotel. OK room, OK breakfast, OK amenities. The one thing that was ridiculous was the internet: $30/day for usage. Overall was not blown away by my experience but not revolted either - I think that is what they're going for.

I have stayed here in 3 different rooms. It is a cheap clean hotel and I enjoyed my time there, however room 214 I think and others on the 2nd floor had an annoying generator noise that kept me awake. I hope they sort this out.

My wife and I stayed at All Seasons in Auckland, and thought it was sparse but a great value, so we chose the All Seasons in Melbourne, which was a totally different experience beyond the logo and color scheme! Check-in was super-easy, elevators were fast, and our room was spacious (unlike Auckland) and very clean. If we could improve anything, it would […] be the windows (currently frosted) and the shower (it is a HUGE wide open shower without any curtain!) That said, we were very comfortable, loved the neighborhood (lots of chic little hidden gem restaurants and plenty of free wi-fi) and it is walking distance to Southern Cross rail station, where you can catch the bus every 10-minutes to the airport. We made the mistake of saving $1 AUD and taking the shuttle recommended by the hotel, and sat in a stinky van for an hour as it drove is all around Melbourne CBD and literally within a few blocks of our hotel before heading off to the airport! Next time we will use the shuttle from Southern Cross. All Seasons should definitely have a word with that shuttle service -- my wife joked that it was like a free driving tour of Melb CBD during AM rush hour! When I checked in, I didnt get much info. And when I came up to the room, I noticed that the shower wasnt cleaned proper (small hair all over the floor...). Let me preface this by saying I had to get a hotel at the last minute and I was mostly concerned about a cheap price. Location is very good - right in the center of the Central Business District. Conveniently placed to businesses, night clubs, restaurants, public transportation and any other sort of activity you might find in other downtown areas. I […] had no issues with the hotel staff, but the room was another matter. When I first checked in, I noticed a distinct odor of fresh paint in the room. There was no phone or wastebasket in the room (when I first arrived - they did show up later in my stay). The carpet was old and rather poor quality, but serviceable. The shower was fine - good pressure and plenty of hot water (although the hotel asked guests to take short showers to conserve). My biggest problem was the ongoing construction taking place during my stay. The hotel staff did advise me they were renovating the hotel and to expect some minor disruption due to the work. However, what they called minor turned out to be major - at least, as far as I was concerned. Although the really loud noises didn't begin until 8:00am, the workers began rummaging around at 6:30-7:00am. The windows didn't close all the way (and I needed to keep them open to vent the paint smell anyway), so I got to hear every little cough and grunt the workers made. i didn't know that there are a few stairs to the hotel and to the room. If i know it, I would not book this hotel as I was travelling with elderly and have quite a number of luggage. Other than that, the location of hotel is good as it is near the southern cross station.

There was very loud music from the livehouse nearby until the morning and I couldn't sleep at all ! I saw a lot of similar compalins and the manager responded they were taking measures, however it looked they hadn't done anything so far - Windows are still thin and the loud music directly came to my room.

For the price, good value. Basic room, great location and good service checking in and out. I have stayed twice and both times there has been noise - breaking bottles as the venue next door dumps their recycling to next door noise coming through the dividing door from the next door room. If you are a light sleeper, this may be a putoff.

Perfect size studio for 1-2 people ( Small but who cares! You aren't in Melbourne to sit in your room!!!! Modern en suite. Literally a 2 minute walk to Spencer St station, Which is one of the main stations for Trams/Buses and trains. While the rooms are tiny, for short stays, the hotel is excellent and inexpensive on melbourne standars. The proximitiy to Southern Cross Station makes it ideal for country Victoria, interstate and overseas travellors. The bonus was an excellent breakfast in a nicely appointed dining room.

This hotel was extremely disappointing. We stayed in room 314 and the bathroom was full of mould and mildew. The shower base was so slippery we had to ask for another bath mat to stand on so we wouldn't slip. They supplied one very thin towel per person, no hand towel no face washer. No hook in the bathroom so your clothes had to be on the not very […] clean floor or on the toilet. The first day we had one small container of shampoo for 3 people - certainly no extras. The carpets were dirty and stained in our room and most of the hotel. I asked for the use of a hairdryer and I was made to feel like I had asked to borrow the crown jewels. I know the rating is 3 star but I feel that is being very, very, very generous! The lobby looks quite good but once we got to our room it was a different story. Also if you have a stroller (like we did) or if you are slightly disabled by age or mobility, this hotel is certainly not for you as the only access is by stairs. Read more
