Comfort Suites Historic District - Savannah

I would highly recommend to anyone to stay in this hotel. Stuff is very friendly, all services are excellent. You can walk to historic district and hotel provides complimentary shuttle transportation.

We were very comfortable. Alot of amenities for the price. The staff was great and very helpful. It is within reasonable walking distance to Market Street area and the River Walk. We checked in on the 6th of April, 2013. The bathroom worked initially twice and then it got clogged and overflowed onto the entire floor. The front desk was notified. A gentleman by the name Tevin was working at the front desk that evening and brought some towels and a plunger that he handed over to our son. We asked who was going to clean up the mess […] and when; and to our utter disbelief he said that we were responsible for the clean up because he was the only staff in the hotel at that time and that he could not leave the front desk. He left those towels and the plunger in the room. We went to the front desk to ask him again about this policy that he told us about hotel guests required to clean up a clogged overflowing bathroom. He could not show us the written policy. We requested that the manager be called who per Mr. Tevin did not respond to the phone call made by him. I disgust and absolute disbelief we checked out right away as he refused to assign us another room and for obvious reason we could not spent the night there. BTW, the room was prepaid by us. We hope this review will bring our awful experience to the attention of proper authority/Hotel management. Read more

The employees were all efficient, friendly and extremely helpful. Quick 8 minute walk to historic district, but along main road so don't suggest at night alone. Hotel runs shuttle van willing to take you anywhere local. Buffet breakfast offered many choices, and hotel extremely clean.

I have stayed at some of the downtown motels and can tell you that noise that come from the streets all night is loud. This motel is next to a busy road but the rooms are off the street and very quite. This motel is at the north end of Savannah historic district but is within easy walking distance of all the sites. I would recommend a stay here.

Nice clean well maintained hotel. Ideal for families. Breakfast was pretty picked over at 9 am despite being "open" until 10. Food was replenished at 9:50. Elevator was unbelievably slow. And parking was limited due to full house.

She made it an amazing stay by setting up our tour, giving us a shuttle ride to River St and personifying hospitality. Donna and the entire staff that we encountered made customers of us. Very cute hotel, Spacious rooms with two queen beds and a large sofa, veryyyy high ceilings, clean, organized and very cute. the bathroom in perfect condition. Overall good experience. The staff was helpful and friendly. My only real complaints were the 5 ft showed head (I'm over 6 ft) and the surrounding neighborhood. The hotel was clean and the employees all were very friendly, helpful. They knew the area and had great suggestions on tours and things to see and do while we were in Savannah. My best friend and I meet every October and try to visit different states and this year we chose Savannah and having stayed in Comfort Inn's before, chose this hotel and were […] not disappointed. Christina, who worked the checkin was a lot of help and gave us very good advice on many occations. We especially liked that the tour busses came to the hotel to pick you up and bring you back after the tour. That gave us a chance to learn the area and get acclimated before trying to drive around. If we ever found ourselves passing through Savannah again this is the hotel we would stay at..Can not say enough about the cleanliness of the hotel....rooms were in great shape and so were the bathrooms. I was very impressed by this hotel! We checked in an hour early and they were finished with our room, so we were able to check in. Our room was clean, spacious, and welcoming. Loved the free wi-fi and all of the channels they provided for cable. If you're looking for a big pool, this isn't the place for it. It's kind of small, but it's family friendly […] and still pleasant. The hot tub was overheating and the staff that were fixing it were very polite. The staff were alright but not outstanding no one at desk when coming in at approx. 11:30 PM no extra comments or suggestions when asking questions we had 4 people not enough supplies provided but did have ones for us to pick up down stairs at front desk when we called and asked. Nice inside pool & hot tub also nice brunch room & pretty good choices in morning however not enough tables for amount of people staying there. I would not stay in this hotel again. It is 3 blocks into a bad neighborhood and several blocks from any other hotels. This city is a walking city, but you will not want to walk to or from this hotel at any time of day.

The hotel was perfect for what we needed. Not too fancy, but comfortable. Breakfast is always a plus! The TV in my first room was broken. The front desk attendant didn't really know what to do and wasn't very helpful, but we were able to switch to another room without an issues.

Hotel was within 3 blocks of the Historic district. Not the best neighborhood to walk in at night. Was approached by panhandler at night who didn't want to take no for an answer. Parking is very limited in historic district so you want a hotel that you can walk from.
