"Great location , Friendly Staff"
Very helpful and friendly staff! Great location and price! Definitely recommend for a quick overnight in the city: room we had was quite small though would not recommend for long stays. Perfect central location close to everything!Genuine Expedia guest review
"decent hotel close to Penn station"
this hotel was perfectly fine for our needs. Well located near Penn Station and an easy walk to places like Times Square. The staff was helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Horrible staff. Untrained and Uncooperative."
The staff was horrible. Unhelpful, slow and not customer friendlyGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location; clean room."
Great location - 1 block west of Penn Station at the foot of Korea Way. We stayed for one night midweek in a "junior suite" -- was very clean and quiet. Only small quibbles: the included breakfast is danish/donuts and coffee only, and the single elevator is small and slow. But overall a good experience.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel with excellent location."
We arrived to meet a welcoming and helpful staff. The room and bathroom were small but clean. The first night the AC was not working properly until early morning so the room was very warm. The room was comfortable for the rest of the stay. The small refrigerator was not turned on when we arrived so we had to turn it on after discovering that it was […] not cold. We would stay there again if we choose to be in that area of the city. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Water Pressure low on upper floors"
We were on the 12th floor and there was no water pressure. Could not rinse soap from hair. The hotel did change our room for us to the 3rd floor and the water pressure was fine.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Korea Town & the Crowds"
The hotel is certainly VERY central to the "action" and the staff has the solicitous, service-oriented nature of the best Asian hotels I've stayed at. While the room was clean, the room furniture was dated and scuffed, the bed linens were a bit shoddy and the room was quite small. My biggest criticism, however, was the single elevator and the line one […] needed to wait in for the complimentary breakfast. They do have a nice 2nd floor lounge area though where you can avoid the crowds, get free coffee/tea and relax. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel close to Empire State Bldg."
The staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little dated but the rooms are quite nice. My daughter and I stayed here for a Mother's Day trip for 5 nights in one of the twin bed rooms, we found it to be clean and plenty of room for the amount of time we were actually in there (which was basically just to sleep). I would definitely […] stay at the Hotel Stanford again! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Staff were very very nice! But room was not much."
As the title shows, front desk and the bell person who takes care of your luggages, all were nice. However, I have two main issues with the room itself. #1, the bed was old. I can feel the spring popping up here and there, which forced me to sleep in a very awkward way. #2, there were absolutely no power outlet in the room! you have desk, lamps, etc. at […] this day and age, you will probably have mobile device and laptop PC you would like to get powered. There were absolutely none! I needed to charge in the bathroom to charge my laptop PC underneath the hair dryer. That was the only thing I found in the room. This is ridiculous. "Overpriced and terrible rooms"
For $300 a night this was one of the worst Hotels I ever stayed at. They have one Elevator that took forever to pick you up and it smelled like a can of bug spray. The window faced a brick wall and was the size of my closet. The Internet did not work in my 2 night stay. The TV only worked for a total 5 hours and was fuzzy. The last day the entire hotel […] did not have any TV. I had to go to the Radisson hotel to watch a NHL game. The toilet had a constant leak and you will hear dripping water all night. AC did not work and the windows do not open. Nobody was there to help me flag down a Taxi or assist with luggage. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Excellent value for a well-located hotel! Excellent service from the Korean staff, especially from Mr. Han!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great little hotel!"
Overall, we had an excellent stay. Our room was small, but that was fine for just the 2 of us. The staff were very friendly and helpful; they greeted us each time we came back to the hotel, and they even gave us a map! The only "bad" points (and I say it like that because I think they are minor) were that one of the light bulbs over the bathroom vanity […] was missing and one of them in the wall sconces was out (but honestly, the rooms were well-lit anyways! It was just something we noticed), the firm bed (but I loved the pillows!), and the lack of outlets. But it's an older building, so I wasn't surprised. I was able to plug in my phone under the desk, so that was good. And now for the good and/or surprising parts! We had an easy-to-use safe, which was handy. There was also a mini-fridge! That was super-useful! I enjoyed the free breakfast as well (I just wish it went later than 10am. But that's because I'm not a morning person! ;) ). Like I already said, the staff were wonderful. We were able to adjust the heat in our room to a comfortable level (we like it cool when we sleep). I think I read on here that some people couldn't get a comfortable temperature? I don't know how my boyfriend did it, but he figured it out when we first entered the room! By that night, it was comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay right in KTown! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
This was a great location and although this wasn't the fanciest place, they tried hard to have little niceties to make our stay more comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
It was in perfect pocation in midtown! Just a short, straight walk to new tork penn station. Very close to all eateries and lovely shopping district. Rooms were clean, no smell and clean bathrooms. It was an unexpectedly great experience. Unexpected because the price was so low that I had thought there might be few issues with the room. But I had absolutely […] no problem. Only caution - breakfast room is really small. So saw people waiting to get a table. Overall, definitely I would recommend it. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"My stay at stanford"
I booked this hotel for two nights and have to switch rooms due to two different bookings. On first night (queen room) it was not good experience at all. Room had a certain smell which was irritating. In room facilities are also very basic. However my experience for the 2nd night was okay and off course it was expensive room (king room).Genuine Expedia guest review
Good location, nice room. One outlet in room, already full not so good, had to unplug clock and or lights to plug in computer and cell phonesGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed two nights and loved the location. Room was clean, bed comfortable, water hot and plentiful. The desk people are wonderful. They are super helpful in all matters, friendly, and knowledgeable. The free continental breakfast is a plus and there is a cafe around the corner serving breakfast, lunch and dinner that we enjoyed. There are many Korean […] restaurants in the area, and following the advice of desk staff, we and three friends from Europe, had an excellent meal and unhurried social time at "Miss Saigon" just down the street. Could not give it 5 stars because there is no outlet strip to charge all the electronic gadgets we all have and wall outlets were few and not easily reached. The desk had a comfortable chair and work space, but no outlet. The small fridge was fine for our needs. Wifi is free, but slow. Phone service was fine. Enjoy your stay! The hotel was clean and was in a great location. The service was ok, it was raining and snowing that night and the hotel had 5 umbrellas by the door. I asked if we could use one and bring it back and they said no. The hotel right next, the raddison to us was giving umbrellas to their guest to use. I thought that was bad business. "affordable location location location!"
The location was so close to everything... Chelsea to Times Square. The hotel is a boutique hotel, the service was exceptional. The rooms simple and clean. Only disappointment was the bathroom vent--very dusty. The breakfast was an all carbs feast, nothing fancy, but then again, all the restaurants are close by, so the bagels and muffins are enough […] to get one by in the morning. I would go back to this hotel. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great Hotel. One elevatorGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I liked that the hotel was within easy walking distance of Penn Station. It had a refrigerator in the room and did supply a poor quality, but convenient breakfast. The street was noisy at night when trying to sleep. The room met our expectations and the staff was friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice but Cozy"
Clean and good for the price. Room was a little small but clean and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
This is a good hotel the only big issue I had was how small the shower/tub was.you can't use the tub cause it's so small. You can't even sit in it. I wanted to take a nice long bath but could not. Aside from this good service, good size guest room, clean, and temperature controlled room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a bad experience"
The location and the picture of the hotel convinced me to choose it, but the result was not fully satisfied. The historical style turns out to be a downside of the room. The room is pretty small, and the facilities looks old. The show sounds loud when water came out and only one stream of water! The comforter has strange smell. I give this hotel 3 out […] of 5 because I had a even worse experience in another "historical hotel". I think this is the last time I try something old. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Not bad overall, but LOUD"
Hard to sleep when doors are slamming all night and the walls are so thin it feels like it's YOUR door. Also no working thermostat so the room was a little too hot. Otherwise ok... Great location makes up for flaws, just bring earplugs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

worth the money. very small rooms. Bathrooms were nicer than the actual room. Very nice employees!!! great locationGenuine Hotels.com guest review
very polite people...professional.....acted like I was the boss......employees were not working behind glass like some hotels in Manhattan..... Next to herald square so good location.... I have been to Manhattan over 100 times so I know they are a good one.Genuine Expedia guest review
Nice staff, very accommodating about last-minute changes due to winter weather. They also found the watch I had accidentally left in the room, and held it for me for two weeks.Genuine Expedia guest review

"NIce hotel in the Korean section of New York"
The hotel was a nice location and had an outstanding front desk staff. We had a group of 34 and everyone was well satified with the location and accomodations. We enjoyed the limited continental breakfast and the lounge on the second floor was very inviting. The only negative would be the inability to adjust the room temperature, there were thermostats […] in the rooms but they did little good. The rooms were all very warm but the windows opened so we solved that problem. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Small older rooms, quiet, staff very accommadating. would have liked more restaurant choices listed nearby. No lunch, dinner in hotel, but I knew that. Felt safe and met a lot of interesting people during my 3 day stay. One elevator, but always working well.Genuine Expedia guest review
"OK hotel in great location."

"Nice hotel near Empire State Building."
Temperature control not obvious, needed to call staff to adjust. No exercise room. Free breakfast was all carbs and no protein. No eggs or meat.Genuine Expedia guest review
Good service, attractive lobby, narrow corridors, aging rooms but very clean. Mine cold use a renovation. Continental breakfast good but the room can be crowded and you cannot take a plate upstairs without a $10 surcharge. Service table looks as if it may collapse like a tired donkey. Staff are very pleasant and attentive.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Room small but pleasant and clean! 2nd floor lounge very disappointing and in need of new furniture. The location is great, next to subway, small walk to Empire State Building and Macy'sGenuine Expedia guest review
Good location (Herald Square), very close to subway, decent amenities (esp. the continental breakfast), nice staff, clean and recently refurbished room, but the bed and pillows were hard and not that comfortable. Right in the heart of NY's "Koreatown." A good value.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very good service, location and value for money."
The staff was very professional. The room was everything I needed without lots of extra fees. A fridge, safe, iron/board, etc. were all included. Continental breakfast was fine. The wine bar was a very comfortable place to relax after a day in the city. Excellent value and location for the money. "Perfect hotel for a getaway from reality"
I stayed at the hotel with my boyfriend for three nights and it was a pleasant experience. We got there a little before check-in time and the staff allowed us to store our bags so we wouldn't have to carry them around in the city. All of the employees there were extremely nice. I read some reviews about this hotel before booking, and there were a lot […] of complaints about the breakfast and the fact that they only have one elevator. To be honest, the breakfast is complimentary so you shouldn't expect a buffet. The food that was offered is enough to fill you up and get your day started and that's what really counts. Right? As far as the elevator goes, we never had to wait more than a couple of minutes to get on. Only complaint I have was the bed was kind of uncomfortable, very hard. Aside from that, the room was very clean as was the hotel. I will be staying here again in the future. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
No cold water and so we called the service guy. He tried to fix it, but couldn't. He told us to move to a different room. We said we will move in 30 min. He walks in only 10 minutes later without knocking on the door and demanded us to move. Very rude.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Loved the hotel. Location was fantastic. Very short walks to Empire State Building and Times Square and subway station for everywhere else is a minutes walk away. Hotel looks gorgeous. "convenient, inexpensive and comfortable"
Location was excellent. Room was basic and small, but that was expected. Bathroom, fine; bed, comfy, staff, very nice. Two minor problems: only one elevator in the 12 story hotel and the neat, small bar on the second floor was hot.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very good value, great location and my room was very quiet. Nice crown mold touches and down throws. Shower head was a bit wonky, but water always hot and room temputure perfect. Only one lift, but pretty fast. The breakfast was dull and can be skipped. I have stayed at hotels all over the city and for the price, this is a good find. The central location […] makes it great to tour and subway steps is just feet from the hotel. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
