Dated buildings, it needs updating for sure. Beautiful views on the grounds, not from every room though. No beach access really, kinda rocky. Smelly too as stagnent water sits on premises, par for the keys. Fyi we assumed since the keys are surrounded by water, we would have traditional beach access. Not so much, its not the carribean.

The accomodations are quite nice. It is like a tropical setting. The only thing that was not satisfactory, was the terrible smell from the rotting vegetation that covered the shoreline. There was a very nice porch (deck) that had a wonderful view, but the smell was so bad that we could not sit out there to enjoy it.

Property was very well maintained in contrast to so many Keys properties that are showing their age. Management is stressing maintenance and groundskeeping. Rooms look out on the gulf, their dock, and beach area. Super sunset photos. And you get a very modest continental breakfast to boot!

I love this place. We've stayed here several times in the past and will return again. The view of the Gulf from our balcony was breathtaking. The front desk staff couldn't have been nicer. I've stayed at several small hotels & motels in The Keys and this place is a cut above the rest.

We loved this hotel! It's like a small paradise. We plan to Come back next year for a longer time. Our room was just in front of the wonderfull Bay. The only thing bad we can say is that we hear the sound of the road in some parts of the resort and our bed was a little bit to soft. We recommand this resort to everyone!

I was quite disappointed with the rude hotel receptionist. She forgot to give us our room key. The room smelled.The furniture was from 70's and in need of replacement. The stove had four burners yet only 1 worked. Very tiny bath. I wouldn't let my dog sit on that sofa. It was quite uncomfortable. This hotel is a hidden gem. I loved laying on the hammock at night feeling the breeze. The bed was amazingly comfy. It was like a little apartment at a great price. Very updated and the shower you could live in. I'll definitely be staying again. The next time I will enjoy the beach pool and tiki huts though.

Was here last week after finding a great deal on Hotels.com. Excellent value,-as you know even the more "rustic" keys resorts are very pricey. Thou the hotel's location and view of the ocean is beautiful. The hotel offers nothing more. They have no soda machine and no accessibility to any snacks or even ice! Though the ocean is right there there is no beach and little area for swimming.

Everything was 5 star however since the building is made out of wood you can hear every foot step from the neighbours. Everything else was probably the best we have seen in Key West so far. Super luxurious!

The counter can take a bit of time since mostly only one person is doing a variety of things. Albeit very helpful and polite. Town houses are a great value and have all the furniture to make you feel at home. Never used the full kitchen or bbq out back but nice if you wanted to. The facilities were recently updated and were ok. For $300/night the beds were not very comfortable. If there is an area the company can improve upon, it would be the beds. Parking was a nightmare. We were only there for an over-nighter and the weather was 'iffy' when we arrived so we didn't get to use the small beach. However, as we were leaving the next morning, it looked to be ideal. It was perhaps 30 feet from our room, very quaint. (The room had a view of the ocean, too.) I wish we had had nicer weather so we could have used the beach upon […] our arrival (that was the plan) but the weather got progressively worse. They offered kayaks to guests and there is/was also a pool. I would recommend it to anyone who wanted a nice room with a small private beach. The mini-suite we booked connected to another room through a wooden door that did not meet the floor. There was an inch gap that let in the noise of the guests in the other room so it sounded like they were "in bed" with you. When I asked for another room, I was told the hotel was booked solid. This place was great! We stayed in the "Tree House" which was equipped with a full size refrigerator, a stove, oven and an amazin wrap around porch. The porch had a swing for two, a picnic table and coconut trees framing a picture perfect view of the Florida Gulf. Our stay was wonderful. The staff was helpful. The free kayak rentals were an added bonus. We enjoyed the hamocks, views and the swimming pools. We stayed in the townhouses which overlooked the scenic canal. It was nice to have a washer and dryer.

This was our honeymoon and was wonderful and relaxing stay. We stayed in one of the newly renovated suites with a gulf view and could not have asked for a better room. The restaurant is currently being renovated so we had to drive 10-15 mins either way to eat but other than that everything was perfect. The only thing missing is a "beach" but there are […] not really beaches in the Keys so if you are looking to lounge on a beach the Keys is not the place. The room didn't have any furniture other than 2 beds. No place to put suitcases or hang clothes. The outside was very nice and grounds had nice touches like hammocks and lounge chairs. Not much around for restaurants. The breakfast was terrible.
