The room was not cleaned well, but at the acceptable level, to us.

The Bahia Cruise was fun. The only small issue I had was that there was too much noise in the morning from the staff, then again, it was 9am and I like to sleep in. Overall, would come here again, and again, and tell my friends to do the same as well.

The price was ok considering the game room, free boat ride, and the cute little seals they have at the hotel, that you can feed and watch swim around. There were alot of big spiders around the area and we found a spider in our closet at the hotel. So it made us double check our covers and shake them out before going to bed. We came from New Hampshire and heard that Mission Bay was the place to stay in San Diego. This place had the kitchenette we were looking for in a hotel, so we booked. When we arrived, the room smelled musty and one of the bed frames was broken. We told the front desk before we went out for the evening - they said they would send maintenance to fix it. We arrived back to our room before midnight and the bed was not fixed. Too late in the evening to call them again. Waited until next day. Still did not fix and the people at the desk were not very helpful when we checked out and told them of our complaint. They didn't care. I do have to say that the pool was nice. For such a great location, this hotel needs to be updated!

This year was our 2nd stay, and we were lucky enough to get a newer room, better than last year's older, slightly dank room. It had a full kitchen, complete with stove, full size fridge, and even dishes, pans and utensils. The room was clean, and very spacious for our family of 4(2 full beds and also a pull out couch). Our family also enjoyed the free Bahia Belle Ferry ride around the bay. The hotel's proximity to Mission Beach is the main reason we stay here-it is a short walk right to the beach and boardwalk, so no need to drive. The pool and jacuzzi are large, and are hardly ever crowded(we were there in July). There is free, secure parking, a major plus since I saw other nearby hotels charge for their parking. During some months, you can catch the fireworks show from Seaworld from one side of the hotel property, very pretty to see the reflection of the fireworks on the bay. Also, we received a flyer from the hotel announcing that they had summer recreation activities for the kids(crafts, etc) on certain days, although our schedule didn't allow for the kiddies to partake in them this year. Only two small complaints-they wrote our parking pass number on another guests parking pass as well, and every time the other guest would park illegally, the front desk called us to ask that we move our vehicle. Getting tired of the daily phone calls and explaining the situation to umpteen different people, we went down and spoke with a front desk clerk to let her know about the mistake(we even pointed out the other guest's car that was parked in the fire lane). The clerk didn't seem to really care, and I don't think ever followed up on it. It was no skin off our nose, we left the next day, anyway and so did the other guest who was driving us nuts with their parking choices :-). It was just kind of a minor irritation being called repeatedly, and I didn't care for the clerk's no care attitude. Other minor complaint-no kind of complimentary breakfast offered. The room was a little small and the beds were pretty hard, but its a hotel. How many hotels have you stayed at with comforty beds? Our room featured a sliding glass door that lead to a little garden complete with little ducklings swimming in a pond. Other rooms have different features I believe. We especially enjoyed the boat ride that the hotel offered. It went across the bay. During the day kids may enjoy the boat ride. At night they have live music, dancing, and bar. We liked it.

We usually stay at Paradise Point but the prices are just too high now. For $100 or more less, the Bahia is just as good if not better in some respects, especially for the room size with kitchenette. The carpet did not appear to have been vacuumed in quite a while, which is always gross when you have a little one who plays on the floor. Loved the private beach with the great covered lounge chairs--very cozy. The pool was nice but a little too cold. Thought it was strange to close the jaccuzi on the second day of our stay for remodeling at the height of the season. The free arcade was nice for the kids, but several games did not work. Very handy to buy Seaworld tickets at the gift shop. Love the free hotel parking! And there was plenty of it.

We stayed 5 nights. 4 of the nights were great, the last night a disaster. The hotel booked a football team, children and adults and they partied until 4am. Very loud music, doors slamming, 4 letter words used continuously. I contacted the front desk at 11:45pm to complain. I was told they could do nothing and they would call the police. At 2:30 I called again to be told the same thing. However, they said their guests (football team) were on public property and the police would need to handle the noise. I advised he hotel they were on hotel property and on the public beach area walking back and forth between. Very disappointed the hotel did not have enough clout with the city police or their own security to help with this excessive behaviour.

Guests From other parts of the country will be wowed by the over all look and feel of the grounds and access to the water. The hotel really has everything you need and there is no need to leave the grounds. Water sports, activities including fitness center, game room and pool complex. The majority of the rooms have a water view and a patio. However, some do not so be sure to ask. The bathrooms are pretty basic with small, low sinks (and I am not very tall) and basic showers but serviceable and clean. The food in the rest. is good and has a nice variety. Service at the par pool can be very slow and pricey. Over all a good value. Not a ilsck chain resort but comfortable and well located.

The hotel is in a great location and had some fun extras, like the harbor cruise. The room was huge and had a beautiful view. The walls were thin, so all the next door noise was easily heard by us. The only complaint I have is that by using this cite, and pre-paying for the room, my husband did not need to present a credit card at check in. Not knowing this, I took my kids to the restaurant and charged the meal to the room. When the charge couldn't be added to the room, the mangement of the restaruant made our waiter go to our room to collect on the bill (after our 4 year old and 1 year old were in bed.) Our waiter was upset that we didn't have cash to pay for the bill, so he took my credit card and returned it about 1/2 hour later. This was a strange event and I was a little upset that the hotel couldn't have just taken the card information over the telephone, or allowed me to bring my card to the restaruant at a more convenient time. By the way, my kids couldn't get back to sleep for another two hours after that...
