InterContinental Presidente Cancun Resort - Cancun

Well, when we first pulled up we were a bit scared as the hotel does not appear as nice as the neighboring hotels in Cancun. We checked into a decent room over the garden terrace. Make sure you don't get a street side room as the initial room we received was ground floor on the street level and felt very unsafe. The hotel is situated in an ideal location just around the end of the Cancun point which provides for little wind and waves which the other hotels receive a lot of. The water is crystal clear and calm and perfect for swimming. There is a wonderful pool and private beach with ample lawn chairs and cabanas for everyone. The drinks are great, decent price, the food is expensive but we found an awesome local taco shop across the street where we got fish tacos daily for $1 a piece. Delicious. The hotel provides jet ski rentals on site as well as other activities which are very convenient and fun. The staff was very pleasant overall. They only provide in room coffee the first day which was annoying, but all else was good. I would recommend staying here again. Read more

It started with a very long wait at the check-in desk. Sure it is low season so maybe they let all the staff go home. Great thing, one has a coffee makr in the room - down side - they do not give you any cofee. You have to buy your own. Oh, they forgot to let anyone know- kids club is closed. Presidente Intercontinental Hotel has arguably the best beach in Cancun. The other hotels on the zone have build so much into the beach that Rooms are very modern and seems like they were recently renovated. They are little bit smaller but very practical. One of the best hotel in Cancun mostly due to its calm and powdery beach. I have been to at least 5 other hotels in Cancun, but for its price and beach, it is probably the best value.

Honestly, I was not that happy when we checked in at the hotel. We were on our honeymoon and we booked a delux ocean view with one king size bed. They did't tell us that it was a two bed. We checked it out and told the front desk. They were not helpful and we were told that they guarantee room but not which type of a room. The front lady also told us […] that the hotel.com knew since 4 months a ago that they are booked on the single bed rooms. I would not have minded if the beds were queen size but they were full size and it was not comfortable at all for a couple. Also, the hotel is filled with kids. Checked in on Monday 12/12 for the week. I was there to unplug and enjoy the beach. This was the perfect place. Traveling alone, it was a pleasure talking with all the hotel staff. The bartenders were polite, professional and always willing to go out of their way to meet your request. The Intercontinental Beach was the widest and the cleanest. The ocean has easy access (no rocks to step on like the others). My room on the 1st floor had double siding doors that opened up to a large patio with lounge chairs and a hammock! Overall it's a nice hotel. It's comfortable, close to the bars and clubs and not far from other hotels. It's right across the street from the bus and some more mellow hangouts if cab riding tourist thing gets boring. Great satellite TV but no wireless internet. The service key to buy internet just goes to a voicemail that is attached to no one. GardenView […] deluxe is actually a view of the parking lot. And the shower floods the room badly no matter how you close the curtains. The service staff is nice and accomodating my taxi reservation at 4am came right on time and even waited 30 mins because I wasn't ready. In room snacks were VERY expensive. $15 for a pack of peanuts. My only problem was that it was only an overnight stay while enroute home from Tulum. This hotel was fantastic. It was beautiful, service was impeccable, the room was large, and while I'm really picky about bathrooms, would easily compare this to any 5 star hotel.

Very friendly staff!

From outside my friends and I feel this is an old hotel compared with others but inside it was renovated and very clean. We love the sand here very much because it is white and very soft. The location is ok not very far from the area with shops and clubs. And just across the street there is a supermarket. Our family loved this hotel! The lobby is spacious, comfortable and the people there are very friendly. If you need help getting somewhere or want to find a good place to eat, they will tell you everything. The rooms were really clean and well organized. Now time for the beach. The sand is perfect; so soft and smooth without any shells to stab your […] feet. The three of us sat on the comfy bench enjoying the evening oceanview with gentle breeze blowing in our faces. If you ask for coconut juice, they will cut a fresh coconut from the tree and chop it open for you to drink. It was my first time and it tasted delicious! We even had the opportunity to see a wedding there. It seemed so romantic! I might have my wedding there too :) Overall, we highly recommend this hotel! Great place-great location-we loved it.

My only complaint is the over priced in hotel shops. The rooms were nice, comfortable, and clean. The beach was great. The hotel is close to local shops so you can save some pesos by walking a block and buying drinks and snacks.

We used this as our transfer hotel, with kids in tow. Great beach with gentle surf, easy transfer to airport, and fun pools for the kids. Hallways are noisy - no carpeting so lots of echoes. Service was prompt, attentive, and helpful. Hotel was very clean. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.

No heated pools or hot tubs. Was there over Christmas. Two days were nice enough to sit on beach and 1 day was very cold and windy. However, the pool temperature was never comfortable. No one at the hotel except some brave kids used the pool - what's the point? All of the service is geared up towards people visiting for the Vacation Club. For example, […] there was no Kid's club, but if you wanted to sit through the Vacaction Club presentation - there was a kid's club for that. The Vacation Club was being pitched primarily to Middle-class Mexican Nationals who got the run of the resort the whole day. Wasn't very relaxing. However the beach was awesome and relaxing and the service was very nice and friendly. However, look at your bills. Once I was charged for a drink that wasn't mine. Then I was chaged for an entree (about $30) that wasn't mine, and then on check-out I was charged for an entire meal that wasn't mine. What a pain! Read more

I travel quite a bit in the US and stay in prety nice places, but was amazed by the service level, courteous staff, cleanliness etc at this place. If there is one thing to point out as a negative is that the front desk staff at time of check-in should be a bit more warm.

The Bad: We reserved a standard non-smoking King bed room. We arrived, they did not have a King bed unless we wanted a smoking room. So we settled for 2 double beds. They claimed the hotel was full, it was not, and a good hotel would have upgraded our room. This kind of set the tone for our stay. In addition, all of my interactions with the staff at […] the front desk made it seem as if they really didn't care one way or another if I was happy. They made you sign a liability release stating that we were responsible for the items in our room and that we should use the safe in our room or the safety deposit box at the desk. The safe in our room did not have a lock on it and the safety deposit box was not large enough to hold a laptop. Nothing was stolen, but I was constantly worried about my laptop when I was not in the room with it. The Good: The beach area was great. Clean, not crowded, nice chairs and shade area. Drinks and food at the hotel were very reasonably priced. The staff at the bar and the waiters at the beach and restaurants were excellent. I wish the front desk was trained as well. The pool area was nice, 2 pools, very clean, not crowded. Although there were time share conversations going on, we weren't really bothered by any of the time share stuff at the hotel. Great hotel! Staff were friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The beach is the best in the area. Great walking sidewalk in front of the hotels to get a little exercise before laying by the pool all day. Loved the room, very modern and clean.

I stayed at InterContinental for 3 nights with a friend. The rooms were modern and very nice! The private beach was perfect with white and thin sand, and super-transparent water. The garden view room does not overlook a garden, as you might expect, but instead a noisy four lane highway and carpark. When I asked for a less noisy room they helpfully changed it to a room in exactly the same part of the hotel but on a lower floor! This is a quiet, nice hotel, great for couples. Compared to some of the other luxury hotels it's a little plain, but for the money it's great, and everyone is very friendly and helpful.

We had been to other 5 star hotels in our trip to Cancun, but this was the only one that was truly worth it. It had everything we had missed in other places, fantastic rooms and the best service. Just what we were looking for, flawless.

The renovated rooms at the Intercontinental Presidente are extremely spacious and very comfortable. Hotel is located at only really swimmable beach of Cancun - beach is great, service is good, and it is in app. 5 min walking distance to the Plaza Caracol/Hotel Zone Centre. Book a Deluxe room or higher, these are fully renovated and great - the simpler rroms are still waiting for renovation and look accordingly. Hotel muito bom, quartos agradáveis, amplos e limpos, estrutura de praia excelente. A praia do hotel é ótima. Localização privilegiada. Fica a aproximadamente mil metros de shopping caracol. E uns 2,5 km do koco bongo. Apesar de existirem hotéis mais bem localizados, dificilmente vc terá nesse preço. Habitaciones recien remodeladas muy agradables. Tiene sin duda la mejor playa de Cancun!

Das Hotel befinet sich gleich anfangs der riesigen Hotelzone. Man ist zu Fuss schnell im Zentrum der Hotelzone. Ausser den überteuerten Extras wie Frühstück und Internetbenutzung ist das Hotel preiswert.

このホテルで一番気に入ったのはビーチです。 他のホテルと比べて広く、砂浜も手入れされてゴミがあまり落ちていないように感じました。 朝食もビーチ間近の屋外で食べることができるので解放感があります。 今回、ベッドが2つあるタイプの部屋に大人3名で宿泊しました。一人はソファに寝ることができ、2日目からはソファの方もベッドメイクしてくれていました。 ３階のオーシャンビューの部屋でしたが、ブールサイドのヤシの実が邪魔してあまり海がよく見渡せませんでした。 部屋の広さは想像より狭いと感じました。

O Hotel é bom, e muito bem localizado. A única ressalva é que ele ainda possue uma ala mais antiga com quartos não tão bons, eu fiquei na ala nova onde os quartos são excelentes.

Confesso que me impressionei com a conservação, limpeza e modernidade do hotel. E também muito confortável. Me faltou internet gratis no quarto mas no roll de entrada há uma sala com computadores com internet rapida e impressora para uso de hospedes sem qualquer custo. Há Wi Fi nos quartos e demsis dependencias, mas pagando alguma coisa. Pela manha […] peneiravam a areia branca da praia, sem ondas ou correntesas, com alguas muito cristalinas, e bem raza. O hotel é 4 estrelas e a praia é 5 estrelas, o melhor trecho de praia de toda Cancun.

Eles se vendem como "na melhor praia de Cancun". E tem razão. Excelente localização, praia perfeita, serviço super bom. Peca apenas por não ter o café da manhã incluído na diária (que tem um valor bem alto). Se for se hospedar por aqui, vale pagar um pouco mais para ficar de frente para o mar. Recomendado.

Excelente hotel hotel, lastima q no cuenta con las mejores playas de cancun. Los hoteles desde el comienzo hasta la mita de la zona hotelera tiene playas hermosisimas.
