"Times Square Nugget"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 6, 2012
We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed for a week and were glad to find a hotel right in the heart of Times Square. The service was definitely top notch! The front desk was courteous and the concierge was very helpful, recommending great shows and restaurants. Our room was nice. It could've been a little larger. But the bathroom was a good size and the size of the TV's and the fact that they played HD was a bonus. Also, the bed was quite comfortable. The cleaning staff did a fine job of keeping up the room. I'll definitely recommend this hotel to others.
"Consistency. You can depend on it."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Finding a "GOOD THING" these days can get harder and harder. For this reason when you come across a 'good thing" it is priceless. One of the most recent "good things " that I have come across is the PARAMOUNT hotel in Times Square. The first thing that I leave the hotel impressed by is the professionalism and commitment that is demonstrated by the staff. Starting with the front desk where I was checked in by Catherine and continuing until the driver which I received at the hotel hands me my luggage at the airport. Catherine followed the details of my visit until the moment I checked out. The only dislike that I had which eventually i got over was the view of the alley where the boiler or some loud machine was placed. I know that from now on I will request a room that faces anywhere but there. If you are going to New York and plan on taking in Broadway there could not be a more perfect location. I love this hotel so much I find myself wanting to travel to NYC more. I cannot wait until my next visit to the PARAMOUNT which I hope will be in the next few weeks.

We had a very good time and the hotel was close to work.

Very nice hotel, within walking distance to subway for access to Manhattan (take the 7 or E and you can get to grand central, times square, penn station). Just a few blocks to local restaraunts. The room was very clean, excellent staff, free shuttle to subway. Overall an excellent place to stay if your touring new york city. One note, if you are considering a "view room" save your money, the view is obstructed by a number of taller buildings (the hotel is only 7 floors). Overall an excellent experience and I would definitely stay again, especially at the rate because of the new hotel discount. If you plan to take a cab from the hotel call one yourself because the service the hotel uses charges a flat rate to specific areas and you can get a cab on your own for cheaper generally.

LaGuardia Airport is the closest airport to Midtown Manhattan. This airport is located in north Queens, bordering Flushing and Bowery bays. North Beach and Elmhurst neighborhoods hem the airport’s south side. Immigrants from more than 100 nations live in this ethnically diverse area, once exclusively Jewish and Italian.
see all hotels in Flushing"Convenient for me"
This hotel is off by itself, more or less in a construction site on a main street. It is in good condition and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I thought it was expensive, though, considering that the location isn't very convenient to anything other than the supplier I visit.
"new yorker"
This hotel was great, great location, clean, comfortable. I would recommend to any real new yorker. It was convenient to all places we needed, mall, train, church...everything. My family and I will use again. :)
"The Marriott Fairfield"
Overall the hotel, service, and the room was nice and I would book again... Thank you.
"A fine stay"
Clean, courteous staff, safe, convenient to a College Point event, comfortable, and relatively reasonable--what more could you want?
"Great Deal for the Price"
Great service. All staff membsers including front desk people, shuttle drivers, and brakfast room and room service persons are friendly and repectful. Very convenient to and from Flushing subway station by the free shuttle.
"Good Place by LaGuardia Airport"
Great place to stay if flying out of LaGuardia, especially in the morning. Had a 7 a.m. flight. Shuttle runs every half hr had us at the airport in about 5 mins. Clean comfortable, decent breakfast. Didn't seem like the best of neighborhoods but would definitely stay there again

"Fairfield Inn/Flushing, NY LGA airport"
While the location was not very convenient, the staff and the comfort of the rooms was very good. The reception staff (TJ and Harold) in particular were most helpful and welcoming. They made me feel like staying there again. The young lady who attended the breakfast lounge in the morning was also courteous and very helpful. On the minus side, the drapes […] of the window of my room did not close. So early in the morning, I was awakened by the bright light streaming into the room. My sleep was therefore cut short. The next time I stay there, I would ensure I get a room where the window drapes work. Read more
"Good deal for the price"
The hotel was clean and there was adequate free parking. There is nothing walking distance to the hotel, but a quick drive can get you to flushing. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean, also the complimentary breakfast was well-stocked with many options.
"Very Clean & Great Price"
Great location if you have a car. Great Service by employees and motel is very well maintained. Not within walking distance of anything.
"Paper thin walls and no restaurant"
This was not a good experience. First the hotel would not answer the phone so I could not access the "free shuttle" and had to pay for a cab. Then the cab dropped me off at the Astoria Fairfield which is actually the closest Fairfield to the airport so I had to pay another $25 to get to the right hotel where my reservation was as the Astoria hotel was […] sold out. Then my amourous neighbors awoke me from 3:30-4:30 am through the paper thin walls with their screaming and moaning. The towels were paper thin and cheap and there was no restaurant unless you consider the morning continental breakfast. So when I finally did get to the hotel there was nowhere to have dinner, and no sleep to be had. This was not a good experience as I asked specifically for an airport hotel with a shuttle and a restaurant. Read more
"Fairfield Inn @ LaGuardia Airport Flushing"
I have stayed at this hotel 2 times prior to my last stay. The hotel is very clean and comfortable. Close to the airport and all knds of shopping. The breakfast they have is more than I have had at other hotel free breakfasts.
"Surprisingly nice..."
I accidentally booked this hotel instead of the Fairfield Inn by Astoria. The neighborhood is basically Chinatown Part II and although it doesn't look as friendly as downtown Manhattan, my husband or myself did not feel uncomfortable by our surroundings while there. The staff was very friendly and let us check in early, as well as, let us leave our […] luggage since our flight wasn't due to leave until 8pm. The inn is among the cheapest you will find in NYC, especially compared to anything in Manhattan. The room wasn't very big, but since we were only there to sleep that was no big deal. And we could hear the room neighboring us, but at the same time they were kind of loud for 6am. They have a complementary breakfast with cereal, waffles, microwavable sausage/pancake corn dogs and sandwiches, bagels, and muffins. They also offer apple juice, orange juice, and milk. I really enjoyed the breakfast, but the room it is in is really small and fills up fast, so we had to eat in our room each morning. Because the area was so far away from Manhattan, we chose the subway as transport as it was the cheapest route by far. Luckily the number 7 line leads right into Times Square and Grand Central Station. Just be prepared to be very close to strangers when on the subway. The subway is about a 45 minute walk, but the inn does have a shuttle service to and from La Guardia airport and to a Mobil 1 gas station that is 2 blocks from the subway. Because you called the hotel to get the shuttle to come pick you up, we were required to wait about 10 minutes on average before we were picked up. We soon learned to call on our walk back from the subway so that we wouldn't be standing around the gas station too long. Overall, we really enjoyed the inn, if not the distance from Manhattan and the look of the neighborhood. Read more

"Good place for a quick layover"
My wife and I were on our way to begin a New England/Canada cruise and wished to arrive a day early, in our case an evening early. We shopped around and this was the best deal we could find with shuttle service to the hotel and it offered service to the docks. Once we arrived at LaGurdia International my wife called for pickup while I gathered our luggage. […] She was given instruction where to catch the shuttle and within 2 minutes of us getting there the shuttle arrived. The driver was courteous and friendly. If you're a NY Mets fan you are within a few minutes drive from their stadium, citi Field. The stadium was visable from our window. The receptionest greeted us by name as we entered and after the normal check-in proceedures we were off to the room. The room was smaller than I expected but very comfortable. The location is not ideal for going out to eat without a car but most restruantes in the area offer free delievery. The breakfast area is small and cramped. So we took our free breakfast back to our room. We made arraingments to have a car take us to the docks for our cruise the night before. When we change our mind and made and earlier request it was handled quickly and our car arrived within 10 minutes. Absoulte first class service that is delivered with a smile over showded any shortcomings the hotel might have. I would recomend this to anyone who was looking for a good clean place to stay the night before going off on a cruise like my wife and I. Read more

"Fairfield LGA: not a great value"
I paid what felt like a lot for a marginal experience. Basement room with bars on the window, small, dark. For this quality, I should have booked a no-name budget airport hotel.
"Excellent location and friendly staff"
Service was excellent here. The shuttle bus driver was very polite and so was the front desk person. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

"Fairfield Inn by Marriott La Guardia Airport/Flush"
The hotel staff were very pleasant, the room and entire facility was clean and well maintained. The hotel, however, is located in an industrial area without a restaurant. If you are not from New York and do not know the area, choose another hotel with a restaurant.

"Easy dirve across Whitestone Bridge to the Bronx"
We picked this hotel because of its location near the Whitestone Bridge. We visited our son who is at SUNY Maritme College in the Bronx (Throggs Neck area) and we wanted a hotel that we could commute back and forth from the college without having to drive too far in heavy traffic. Although the hotel parking lot is small, we did not have any difficulty […] parking in the lot or nearby on the street. The room was clean and comfortable. When you factor in the friendly staff and the free breakfast and WSJ and US Today, the hotel is welll worth the price for a NY City area hotel. Read more

"Pleasantly Surprised!"
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. (small but not cramped!) Great shower. Breakfast had a nice selection and management refilled quickly. Dining room was on the small side and overcrowded at peak. Located in industrial area near airport. Not great but we felt very safe. Easy access to city and near relatives in […] Queens. We will return in future! Read more
"Better than expected."
Overall my stay at this hotel was good. The only complaint that I have is the parking. My mother is disabled and the hotel only has one handicap parking space. The parking lot for regular parking was also very small. Outside of that, I enjoyed my stay. The next time that I go to N.Y., I'll look forward to booking at that same hotel.

"Great room for the money"
Great service. Great room for the money. make sure you have ear plugs you can hear the planes. We went out every night so when it was time to sleep the planes did not keep us up.
"Exactly what we needed"
We just wanted to stay somewhere close to LaGuardia for our last night in New York, as we had a really early flight. Didn't need anything but a place to sleep and relax! The staff was extremely courteous and helpful, room was large, clean and comfy, continental breakfast in the morning was great, plus a friendly free shuttle to the airport. 100% sa […] tisfied. "Marriott properties consistently provide good value"
I used to travel much more than I do now, but one thing has remained constant. Marriott consistently provides superior value at all their properties. Whether you're at a regular Marriott, a Marriott Resort, or at the lower end of their offerings, Fairfield Inns, they routinely provide a very good value for the dollar spent. In my experience, the Marriott […] organization understands their customers and provides what is expected in all aspects of lodging services. This specific Fairfield Inn is no exception. Read more
"Convenient location to airport and subway"
Extremely clean and well kept hotel. Breakfast was better than most continental breakfasts. Hotel staff was impeccable---always polite and helpful. The shuttle was a dream -- very convenient to subway. The only downside is that you aren't near restaurants. No problem for us as we spent the day in the city via subway. I would definitely go back.

"Good Quality for the Price"
The hotel and rooms were neat and clean. The carpet was worn in places. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was good considering the price of the room. While the hotel is not in the best neighborhood, the security appeared to be good. In general, you get what you pay for, however, this hotel exceeded my expectations.
"Outstanding Service"
The Marriott LaGuardia Airport/Flushing was easy to get to off the highway. The personnel was friendly and went out of their way to assure our needs were met. The shuttle service to the airport or nearby Citi Field was down to one minivan due to a mishap with their other shuttle. Hotel personnel provided transportation with their own private vehicles […] to assure that guests would get to their destination. Now that's service! The continental breakfast in the morning was satisfying. Read more
"serious problems with no redress"
When we returned to our hotel room after one day, we found the door had been left open because of a jammed lock and the room had not been made up. We complained to the night manager who assured us he'd find out what happened and call us----but we heard nothing. Such a disregard of personal safety, of cleanliness standards, and of communication makes […] me say "go elsewhere!!" Read more
"Great Room for the money in NYC"
Considering the hotel options in NYC area (I'm a former New Yorker) the price was reasonable, the cleanliness was outstanding, the surroundings were bearable, parking was adequate, continental breakfast good.
