Nine Zero is an AWESOME location for young families, couples and very, very pet-friendly (surprised to see doggy bowls and treats at the side door) right next door to Suffolk. Wonderful hotel space and decor - very fresh-faced modern with warm colors - and the animal print detail nods to the entire Kipton boutique hotel line (cute). The room we had was a great size, the staff was VERY, VERY welcoming (the late-night concierge was great about recommending places in the city to go see). We'd absolutely stay there again.

Hotel was a little hard to find at first...we drove right by it the first time and had to make a big circle around the common. Parking was very easy with the valet. Check in was a breeze. our reservation said we would get a complimentry wine reception, but the front desk attendent did not mention that. perhaps we checked in too late? Loved the chic and modern decor of the lobby...our room was even better! we had a very spacious double queen room. did not feel cramped at all. loved the animal print decor. The beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and big! big plus for having a dvd player, ipod adaptor, and lovely aveda bath products in the room. Hotel was in walking distance to great restaurants and bars. Overall, a great experience for the price. my only wish was that there was breakfast in the morning.

The hotel was very nice. The bathroom could have used more cleaning. The blow dryer was not working correctly but, housekeeping took care of that problem right away and put a new blow dryer in my room. The concierge, Corey was exceptionally nice and professional. He made my stay at the Nine-Zero great!!!! The coffee that was served in the restaurant was the best, just perfect! Food at the restaurant was good too. Overall, a nice hotel, the room was a little smaller than I wanted but still very nice. The view was nice too.

We chose this hotel for it's location between Newberry Street/Boston Garden, and Government Center. It's really convenient to everything important in Boston. We went to visit our daughter (recently graduated) - who decided to remain in Boston, but missed her family. We even brought along our small toy poodle - the staff treated her ROYALLY! We came back to our room to find a special pillow and dog food bowls - adorable. Very happy with "hip" aspect of the hotel as well. My daughters wanted to get the play list as we left!

Or I suppose it could have been worse. I requested a room on a high floor and we were on the 9th over the delivery alley looking into the office building next door. So we kept the drapes closed the whole time. The trucks backing up for deliveries woke us every morning. It took 2 days to get a coffee pot because they "didn't want to leave it in the room when we weren't there". Then we were unable to get the coffee pods restocked after we went through the first ones. The ice bucket is very small which required multiple trips to the ice machine which wouldn't have been a problem if the machine on our floor had been working. But it wasn't making ice for a couple of days so we had to go to another floor. I didn't even bother to ask for an extra towel considering the problem with more coffee pods. The staff seemed very polite even when requests were ignored and the concierge was helpful in navigating the city. The room was otherwise nicely appointed and comfortable enough except for the AC not setting below 65 which could be a problem as the outside temps rise in the city. The "problems" that I've mentioned really were small compared to other hotels that I have stayed in but I suppose I expected more for the price of this one.

Nine-zero is located on the historic Boston "Freedom Trail" just a block or so from the "Park" subway station. It is also just a short walk to the Faneuil Hall Marketplace. In summary, the location is great. Even though the hotel is located in a historic area, it is ultra-modern in every way. The rooms and lobby must have been re-done in the last 12 months. Everything looks mostly brand new and totally clean. Unfortunately the door jamb in my room had been nicked. There was a complimentary wine reception in the lobby. The hotel restaurant is an excellent up-scale steak house, "KO Prime". The food is American steaks with a mild Japanese flair. I had the NY strip steak which was about $40. The Mignonette sauce that is served with the oysters is incredible. In summary this is a great place to stay if you are vacationing in Boston, or showing visitors the sights.

Great location near Boston commons, lots of great shopping and restaurants. The interior is very well designed, modern, but not cold, in fact quite warm; our room was done in black and tan may sound crazy but it really worked. Staff was super nice, beds were comfy, room and halls were clean, even the free wine at Happy Hour was pretty good. Ok there is one thing wrong, there is no coffee maker in the room (but there was a nice 1/2 bottle of Wild Horse Pino in the mini-bar). If you call the front desk they will send an easy to use one-cup-at-a-time pod coffee maker to your room. Enjoy your stay, we sure did.
