"Good value for the money"
I had chosen this hotel because of the low price and the quiet location. It was definitely a good deal for the money. It's a little bit outdated but the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spic and span. There was plenty of room to set up my laptop and work, and each room in the building I was in had either a patio or a […] balcony, so you can open up the sliding door and get some air. The only down side was there weren't enough electrical outlets for all of my electronics that had to charge overnight, but I pulled out the dresser and found a multi-plug adapter back there that I was able to use in a more accessible place, so problem solved. I would stay here again if back in the area. It's also within a mile drive of two major freeways. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
A nice hotel and would definately stay there again. Much nicer than I thought it would be after reading some previous comments. Very convenient to be on campus. Tasty hot breakfast served.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"HIGHLY RECOMMEND KELLOGG WEST!"
The Staff at Kellogg West is professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable. The rooms are well kept and fully stocked. Excellent continental breakfast!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Convenient and Friendly"
The staff and atmosphere were very welcoming, accommodating and pleasing. The rooms were very clean, bathroom clean, and the conveniences of the free wi-fi and refrigerator is appreciated. Room service food was delicious and portions were large. It's also a great value to have a buffet breakfast included with your price. Parts of the hotel need updating […] and maintenance. The air conditioner is loud when it runs and kicks on; for light sleepers, it's most dusruptive at night. The bathtub drain clogs so the bath water collects to your ankles. The cold wafer pipes need to drain for 15 minutes every afternoon on hot days since they are not insulated from the hot sun or neighboring hot pipe. if you retire early and need quiet, request a room away from the pool. In spite of the compromises, I would stay there again and recommend it to others. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
I was pleased with location and service I would stayed again *****Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Very reasonable rates. Great location. Friendly, helpful staff. The surroundings are beautiful. Not for someone looking for a "bar" or "club" atmosphereGenuine Expedia guest review
We stayed at the Kellog Conference center and Lodge because hubby was running a race at the Fairplex. It's a short hop on and off the freeway from the Fairplex. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, the pool was clean and the breakfast in the conference center was DELICIOUS. It' s more than your standard "continental" breakfast of muffins and […] coffee. There's a waffle bar, eggs, bacon, fruit, cereal, coffee, and juices. The grounds are beautiful and quiet. "Stay some where else...."
Very dated, right out of the 70's, creepy bedspreads, microscopic amounts of shampoo, no conditioner, crappy coffee, fuzzy reception on the TV, porn channel right in clear view for my 14 year old daughter to see, had to share the balcony with neighbor, breakfast buffet consisted of one kind of toast, hospital tasting eggs, bruised bananas....need I […] say more? "Visit to CAL-POLY"
Great hotel, very close to the university. The breakfast was great! Room we stayed in was a little small but beds were comfy and clean. It was a good stay, would stay there again. Everyone was helpful and happy!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"MIddle of the road but nice."
It was very clean but rather pedestrian. It is on the campus of Cal Poly and you must drive beyond the main entrance to find the drive to the hotel. It is located at the edge of agricultural area so it is rather pleasing and the staff were nice and parking easy.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel in nice area"
Stayed for two nights, area is very nice. They provided great hot and cold buffet breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great Location and Value"
The room was quite adequate with a fridge and coffee maker in the room. The rate was very reasonable. The best part was the buffet breakfast included in the price. Driving up to the hotel you pass through a working farm with sheep, pigs, cattle and horses. The kids loved it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great spot if you're off to the Pomona Swap meet"
Nice place to stay. A little difficult to find but quiet and good value. Clean and recently renovated with great showers. Located in the middle of a University complex, it's worth going to the produce store that sells the best strawberries ever! Lots of takeaways close by too.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotell i Pomona"
Genuine Expedia guest review

"Would never go back"
1- my room smelled like barn. No joke. I left the patio door open for 3 days to air it out. 2- Breakfast was exactly the same each day, no variation whatsoever. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon. Food was cold. Service wasn't very good. 3- room quality was okay but they didn't get my room cleaned until after 1pm one day. 4- loud guests in the courtyard. It carries. Overall, location is great if you have business on campus but otherwise no way. Even then I'd probably stay off campus and drive in.
"WHERE IS IT?"

The address to this place is NOT 3801 W. Temple Ave., Bldg 76, Pomona, CA 91768-2557. The physical building is on Horse Hill Drive (34.056423, -117.82599) which is closer to University - NOT Temple Avenue. Good luck finding this location at night, as the campus is poorly lit, the signage is not lit at all. Called to get directions, nice gal on the phone had no sense of direction. The room itself was ok. Clean. Good value.
"Good value for the money!"

I most recently stayed @ Kellogg West on the Cal-Poly Pomona campus on Sept. through evening of Sept 10, 2014. I had a room that overlooked a lawn & trees which I truly enjoyed. That scenic location had me feeling like I was away from all the commotion of the surrounding freeways & the "main drag,". The staff was extremely accommodating to my needs, issued the required parking permits for me and some vistors who came for the day. The food was not quite as good as it used to be. Some of the equipment in the fitness center needed repair. I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 6 years. I recommend requesting a room NOT in the Hillside building, and either facing this lawn or facing the pool. I get the rate for parents of students, and have to say it is a very good deal!
"Good value and convenient access"

Overall I would say Kellogg West is a step below Best Western or Holiday Inn. However, I would stay here again as it is conveniently located next to Cal Poly and the breakfast is much better than the above mentioned motels. Depending on the rate you get, it can be slightly cheaper too. Location is on hilltop on the Cal Poly Pomona campus with pretty views. Easy access to 57 and 10. The hotel is run by the school's Hospitality Management college so you are being their guinea pigs. There were no issues with that, I found the staff very professional. The rooms are a bit dated and have popcorn ceilings. They are small and have double beds. Toiletries are made in China. Room has a refrigerator. Air conditioning and comfort level of bed was OK. My room only had a shower, no bathtub. There is a pool and a small fitness room but I did not check out either of them. The breakfast buffet is the standout. Comes with eggs, bacon/sausage, potatoes, pastries, fresh fruit, oatmeal, cereal. The pastries taste like they come from a real bakery, not that packaged stuff The fruit is fresh, not defrosted fruit from a big Costco package. I stayed two nights and it was the same both days. Note that breakfast closes very early (8:30) on weekdays. No this is not a full service hotel, but as long as my son is at Cal Poly I will stay here again since it's such a good deal and so convenient.

Kind of pretty location, but that's the only thing nice I have to say about this hotel. No air conditioning, the TV was all staticky, the phone in the room was dead, the electrical outlet in the room didn't have a cover on it, it was a far walk from the parking to the room, and their internet is restricted and doesn't let you on things like World of Warcraft. We checked out in less than an hour and checked into a radisson that was less money and had AC, plenty of outlets including USB, and unlimited devices on their free unrestricted internet.
"recycled dorms nestled between college students and cattle"

is what this "hotel" feels like. The lobby (located in a separate building) is the only "nice" thing about this place--the accomidations are paltry at best--slamming doors, tiny spaces--tiny beds--holes in sheets and flat pillows. Morning coffee requires a raffle like ticket (which comes with your room key)--no bar, no restaurant, fuzzy t.v. reception, nothing for miles except cattle and college students milling about.

While providing consultation work at Cal Poly I was booked at the Kellogg West Conference Center. I was very pleased with my time there. While the lodging rooms are dated and in need of some investment, the rooms were clean and comfortable, including the patio and balconies. A nice workout room and pool accompanied the property. I should mention the wonderful views of the rolling hills and the mountains. The conference center was well appointed with all amenities a meeting planner will need to exceed customer expectations. Nice pre-function space and courtyards for unique spaces. Meeting rooms have an updated look and feel with state of the art technology. Wonderful asset for Cal Poly and the local area and is no more than 5-10 minutes from the interstate. Thanks for a great stay.
"Rowdy, Thin Walls, Courtyard is for Partying"
I am currently staying at this hotel and I have to say, I've never stayed in a more unprofessional hotel in my life. The way the hotel is set up is that there is a courtyard in the middle of all the rooms facing in. Voices travel up, people out there being loud with no care about the time of night. Business Travelers be careful before you book this hotel. I am definitely going to tell my company that this was the wrong choice and I will personally never use this conference center for another business meeting again that involves overnight travel.
"Beautiful location on college campus"

Stayed here five nights for a business session held here at the conference center. Room was neat and clean. TV reception was fuzzy on a couple of channels, but they were repairing a main cable line on campus. Small fridge is also in the room. Looked like nice pool area, but did not use. Ask for an end unit as you have a great view of the mountains in the distance. They also have a fitness room that I did not use either. Buffet breakfast daily was also included. They also have Free wifi in the rooms and conference area.

We came for a wedding going on here. Our room was not the best. Very old and bad lighting. There is a balcony but it is connected to 2 rooms. So when I went to open the curtains there were people I didn't know standing right in I front of my room. Down at their main building was where the rehearsal dinner was which was very charming and the food was great! The actual wedding was up at the old Mansion and it was gorgeous! Only bad thing is its right by the freeway. Besides the room it was great!
