Hotel is close to the train station. The staff at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The TV was not working at first and it took and hour and two different people to get it up and running. The room was quiet, a good thing because the air conditioning/heating system was not on and we had to keep the windows open the whole time. We asked the hotel […] to make an 11:30PM reservation for a restaurant that was supposed to be open until 2AM. We got to the restaurant on time but they had shut the kitchen and no place else was open in the city center. While traveling to Spain, our main concern was a location of a hotel. Vincci Lys was excellent choice, as we were within walkable distance from virtually any place. Down the street there is Vodafone store where you can get a local SIM card for nearly 30 euro. There are also lots of great restaurants nearby. Hotel by itself is clean and staff is nice. […] Double beds are enough to sleep, but nothing luxurious. Be warned, hotel serves breakfast only in their restaurant. Their breakfast is way below average, as there are very little choice and their food is cold. Local restaurants compensate for this disadvantage. Lovely location: walk out to eat or shop (or attend a big protest on a national strike day); walk a bit further to access other fun neighborhoods like the Barrio del Carmen or the boomerang sliver of park that cuts through the city. Only complaint was that the walls must be very thin, as I could hear the next door neighbor walking about and coughing (not that loudly, either). The hotel is located in a great area of the city and easy to access the metro and bus lines. Elevators are typical smaller European style, so other than using them to transport the luggage, we found that the stairs were more efficient. Overall, the hotel was nice and the staff helpful, when it seemed to please them. The rooms were clean and comfortable. […] Drawbacks – The floors appear to be fake hardwood, so if your neighbor is wearing any type of hard-soled shoe, or heel, expect to hear them walking around. Not sure how this works but the smoke detectors seem to sense the shower steam, twice we had calls from the front desk asking if we were smoking in the room as it seemed to set off an alarm. Keep the door closed when taking a shower unless you want a phone call while in the shower! LOL The furniture in the lobby and in the rooms is dated and somewhat worn. It’s long overdue of an upgrade. While the hotel is rated as 4 stars, I think that’s a bit generous. 3 stars would be better. Read more

Great value in Valencia. They did not have the double bed room that I booked but only a single but they granted free internet (which otherwise was 16 euro for 24 hours) and I was pleased. After having stayed in a very small room and paid an exorbitant price in a hotel in Barcelona during the Mobile World Congress 2012, Vincci Lys Hotel was a pleasant surprise for us. Located in the heart of Old Valencia on a pedestrian street quarter facing the amazing old railway station, this hotel is chic, clean and roomy compared to what we had in […] Barcelona. The hotel was decorated with contemporary chic class without pretentiousness. The room isn't too spacious but a good size. The bed is comfortable. There is a small vestibule and the bathroom is all marble and roomy. Its location is very convenient: walking distance to the famous market and Valencia cathedral. The only downside was that there wasn't internet connection in the hotel. Even my laptop has a built-in SIM card, I had a very flaky connection. We were informed that hotel's internet contract was about to end and the new vendor had a better program. If it isn't about the internet, I'd give 5 star rating to this hotel. Another point people should know about is that the new railway station where the high speed trains arrive and depart is two subway stations away (15 min walk). If you arrive at the new railway station, make sure you stop at the Tourist Information Office inside of the station and ask for a map and direction. Read more

This hotel has a great location! You can walk to most attractions and the metro is two blocks away if you need to use it. The rooms are large and clean. Just a couple of things to note: a queen bed is two twins pushed together, the decor is lovely but started to show wear and stains, the internet is super expensive but there is a Starbucks within walking […] distance with free wi-fi, you can hear the guests in ajoining rooms, in fact I could hear my neighbor snoring, so not great soundproofing, also street noise can be bothersome, the front desk staff is mostly helpful, but can be somewhat surly depending on the personal at the time. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful with maps and info. Only issue real issue I had was the walls are thin but more importantly they don't have irons or ironing boards available at all. You can send your clothes out for an additional fee.

The hotel is easy to get to on the metro directly from the passenger terminal at the airport. Hop on the train and get off at Xativa. From there it is a 3 block walk to the hotel, about 6 minutes. There are numerous cafes in the neighborhood. Spanish breakfasts are a bit different than traditional english or american breakfasts. Visited Valencia on business and extended mystay for a few days. Room was clean, but noisy. Had to ask for extra towels several times thorughout my stay. Hot water was scarce. Got lost walking in town my first night there and no one recognized the hotel name - even with a business card form the hotel with the address listed. FYI..A good reference point […] is the train station. Overall my stay was pleasant. There is a grocery store a few blocks away for stocking up on snacks. If you're driving, you may have difficulty finding it with GPS because its on a pedestrian street. Look for the Bull fighting arena on your left, then make 2 right turns on the first consecutive streets. Your third right on the second street will take you to the Hotel before the end of the street on your right.

Conveniently placed if you're looking for a hotel between the old town and the beach. The bus stop is less than 5 mins away and buses take you into the old city within 20 or so mintues. We jumped in a cab to the beach which took less than 10 minutes. The hotel offers bicyle hire and bikes can be stored in the underground carpark. First of all even with directions this hotel was hard to find. Once we arrived there we went into reception which was lovely, we were approached by staff who were quite cold and not welcoming at all. We were then given our room which was on the 1st floor room 111, there was hardly any natural light in the room which had one window which was facing a […] blank wall. There was a really bad smell from the bathroom which we really couldnt track down because the one thing you could say for the hotel was that it was emmaculate. We asked if we could change rooms but was told only for an upgraded price, which given we were there just for the night we were not prepared to pay,and basically that was that they didnt offer an air freshner or anything at all. This hotel is in a very central location and you can easily walkinto the old town but we had read other reviews stating you can walk to the science museum, you could it would take around 30 minutes walking though. We stayed Tuesday to Friday and it was very quiet (we had a room at the back of the hotel). Hotel reception were very helpful advising about public transport.
