I was pleasantly surprised. I thought if I'm paying for a cheap room, it would look 'cheap' as well. Absolutely the opposite. My flight arrived a few hours before check in and they were able to find a room for me. The room was great. Clean and roomy. Pillows were way too soft for me, but overall I would definitely stay there again. Easy access to highway, and lots of places to pick up a quick bite to eat. No complaints about this place.

My daughter and I had a nice stay and we got a wonderful recommendation for a nearby restaurant. The Hampton Inn always has consistent, prompt service and I always feel welcome.

Good value. Smaller room but very adequate for 2 people. All we could expect for the lower cost of the room.
Location.
Situated in Rochester, Holiday Inn Exp Irondequoit is close to Seneca Park Zoo, Genesee River's High Falls, and Rochester Auditorium Theater. Also nearby are Memorial Art Gallery and Downstairs Cabaret Theater.

"great for kids"
We were very pleased with this hotel. Pool was a lil cold but the kids loved it. Hotel was very clean and beds were comfy. Breakfast was good also. Kids loved the pancakes and french toast. Target was located right by hotel incase u forget anything and ihop is next door if want alot of pancakes.

The room was a non-smoking room that smells like a smoker had been in there previously. The pool was freezing. The couch cushions were highly stained. If you took a shower everyone in the room could hear the water loudly.

"Not Tragic but Could be Better"
Pros: conveniently located, friendly staff, free USA Today, usual comfy beds and pillows. Cons: breakfast is served at 7am, which is an hour too late. Even then, the food wasn't ready so all they served was (frozen) fench toast and bacon. The eggs came much later as I was jetting out to get to the office, and I never saw a yogurt, banana, or the biscuits. […] Breakfast should be served at 6am so ppl have time to eat and not be late for work. Also, it appeared that someone dropped the roll of toilet paper in the toilet and the cleaning staff just dried it out and replaced it on the roll - pretty gross and left me skeeved for the rest of my stay. "Traveling with Bryn , my pooch"
I recently made a reservation to stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Irondequoit, NY for the Christmas break. I brought my boyfriend and my dog and we had a wonderful stay. It is so nice to be at a hotel that is friendly to pets. the breakfast was great in the morning and we really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. I would stay again.

No shower curtian when I entered, no towels, one towel was used. The gym had one working machine. Not worth the money spent.

Everything at this hotel was great until we went to go to sleep. The mattress was so soft and slanted on the sides that we barely slept! Another couple we know stayed in another room and had the same problem. Also, the cinnamon rolls ran out (on a Sun morning) by 9:15am & we were told they did not have any more. We took our first family vacation with our 3 sons ages 2, 4, and 7 to Rochester, NY. Our purpose was to take them to the Strong National Museum of Play and the Seabreeze Amusement Park. We selected the Holiday Inn Express because it was close in proximity to both locations. The hotel accommodated us with extra towels and a crib. The service was friendly. […] The complimentary breakfast was a plus. However, I would recommend that they also serve meat products that don't contain pork. Had 5 people staying in a room but no problem. The room (not a suite) was spacious and clean. The motel is only 2 years old. What a great place to stay (staff and breakfast execeptional)! highly recommend the motel.

A perfect location for our Thanksgiving visit. Close to family and shopping. Front desk and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. The only negative was that we were a party of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) and they only left 3 towels one day and 2 the next. It was pretty obvious that there were 4 people in the room! I called the front desk the first […] day and was told they would alert the room staff but no more towels were ever brought. We ended up taking some from the pool. The second day I asked the maid personally for more towels and was told the "other" maid was responsible for our room and she would tell her we needed more. She eventually brought 1 more towel so again we raided the pool area! We also ran our of toilet paper on the second day. Other than the less than stellar maid service our stay was good. Read more

This hotel was in a good location for what I needed it for. One of two things that went wrong was that check-in took much longer than expected because the computers were down. The second thing was that the maid took towels that she wasn't supposed to take and then never replaced them. Other than these two things the visit was fine.

"my stay"
the stay was nice, quick check in and check out.. the only issue i had was with the no refrigerators in the room. i was traveling with kids and packed some food that i expected to be able to put in a fridge.. other then that.. the stay was great...

"good hotel but lacking in some areas"
Overall the hotel was nice, clean and the continental breakfast was a god send. I was traveling w/a senior who is a diabetic and a handicapped child and it provided me with ease in morning meal. There wer two things i was not exactly happy about: 1. the doors to the hotel were not wheelchair friendly as they were not automatic opening nor was there […] a button to push for them to open. So if my 19 yr old daughter needed to exit or enter somehad to be there to open the doors for her. 2. after prepaying in advance booking on the tues after my stay there was an extra $20-25 charge on my acct that i have no idea what it was for as imade no calls or anything during my stay. needless to sy i was not happy! This hotel is in a great location, we went to Seabreeze and then stayed at hotel which was just a few minutes away. Hotel had everything we could ask for. I thought it was a little pricey but al in all a good stay.

This is a very good hotel and perfect for shopping.It is walking distance from Target and Macy's as well as Marshall.A very clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff.The breakfast is very good with a lot of varieties.Overall I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

If you are in Rochester for shopping then this is the hotel for you. You are no more than twenty minutes away from three large malls. Food is everywhere!! Outside of the hotel is an IHOP. There is a grocery store across the street. The hotel is actually located in a mall parking lot. The mall includes a Macys and Target. The staff are very accommodating […] and professional. I will be returning to this hotel when I plan my next shopping trip. Breakfast served complimentary every morning from 7-10am. There is an abundance of food from scrambled eggs, biscuits, sausage gravy, cereal, yogurt, juices, sausages, etc. We had a suite which included a microwave and fridge. Really convenient for keeping drinks cold and warming up things. Pool was great for the kids to keep them occupied after a hard day of shopping. Read more
