"A Bit of a Disappointment"
12/26/14 Jay M
Maybe it was just the perfect storm of events, but I was not satisfied with my stay. I paid for 3 nights, but checked out the night before the official checkout. Pros: 1. Large room 2. Clean bathroom 3. Away from the busy main street and highway 4. Loved the breakfast Cons: 1. My room was EXTREMELY dry. Could have used a humidifier so as an asthmatic, I struggled. 2. For such a large room, the TV was too far from the bed or too small (probably both). 3. No HD channels for an HD TV 4. The WiFi was horrendous. I had the worse time connecting to my work VPN. I thought it might it might just be my tablet, but I stared at my phone and watched it connect/disconnect several times right in front of my eyes. 5. Except for the night desk guy who helped me dispose of my wrapping paper and present boxes (can't remember his name unfortunately) the 2nd night, the other two I encountered did not give me more than a mumble...WHEN I saw them. I can understand not wanting to stand at the desk on a slow night, but I went in and out of the building several times, and the other two only ever appeared once. I even left my keys on the desk when I left the night before checkout because no one appeared. Definitely won't be returning.
"Loved this place"

Beds were great, Room was very clean. Breakfast had your typical selection but it was all very good and prepared nicely/well stocked. All the staff I encountered were very nice. My only complaint was Pool area was a little dark for comfort swimming with young kids, but it was a nice pool overall.
"New card keys badly needed"

The Comfort Inn was fine for cleanliness and bed comfort, my two major necessities, however after arriving back to the hotel exhausted on a Saturday night, I walked to the third floor and all the way to the end of the hall (of course) to find my key cards did not work. I trudged back to the lobby to stand in line with FIVE count them five folks with the same problem. Seems you can't keep the cards in your wallet or next to your phone or they demagnetize. Where does one keep their keys if not in their wallet or purse?... Come on management, buck up for some better quality keys.
"Nice place to stay"

Our room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Right before we turned in, the toilet stopped working. We were immediately given a new room conveniently close to the one we started with. This room was also very nice, and the toilet worked without any problems. Our dog was also welcomed.
"Ok for the price"

I booked this room on Expedia. When we arrived the young lady at front desk was not very friendly. I told her my last name and she immediately asked if it was under another name and said she could not find it. Luckily I had printed out my confirmation and handed it to her. Funny how quickly she found it in their system after that. No smile and talked so fast we could hardly understand her. Room was clean and beds were fine. Indoor pool was nice and our two little grandsons enjoyed swimming. There was a standard breakfast included. I probably would have given this hotel a little better rating, but the employees very pretty unfriendly. I think management needs to coach them on smiling and being nice. There are plenty of other hotels in this same general area in this same price point. Extra friendly staff may help get some repeat customers.
"Not as advertised"
The room we selected was advertised as a room with a 2 person hot tub. It was a 2 person bath tub. Which is fine but truth in advertising is important. The black out curtains probably work great under most circumstances but not when there are 2 - 1000watt metal halides pointed at your room. The heater/AC has something loose in it as everytime it turned on, it sounded like a semi truck parked in out room. Other than those 3 items I could recommend this motel. If you do stay here, request a room on the south side of the building.
"Nice hotel with quiet clean rooms and lots of parking. Close to freeway"

Nice hotel with clean and comfortable rooms. Lots of parking. Variety of breakfast items with friendly breakfast attendant. Nice sitting area in lobby. Friendly staff when I checked in and checked out. Easy to get to freeway and no freeway noise from hotel.
"Hope this is a growing trend."

Hotel was clean well kept and run by friendly people. Breakfast was well appointed and tasted good. The best points for the hotel was the regulations for the Pool and Hot Tube, fitness center, and laundry all were 24 hours a feature I hope more Choice Hotels pick up on. After a fun day of sight seeing and traveling it sometimes hard to fit these features into your schedule by 9 or 10 pm.
"Decent stay for the price"
We stayed on the third floor. The room itself was very clean, the bathroom was spotless, and it smelled fresh. Breakfast was standard, although the waffle maker gets a plus. You can't beat the location though. It was central to everything we needed to get to, including the freeway. It's located in a business area, but there is plenty of shopping and eating within a short distance. I didn't give it five stars because it reminded me vaguely of a nursing home. But even so, I would definitely stay here again.
"3rd world motel would of been a better choice"
09/02/14 Lowell S Seattle, Washington
My Hotel room was covered by my company and not out of my pocket. It was still not worth it as you will see. After bringing all of these issues to the Regional Manager's attention, she gave a $50 discount to my company on the $600 bill for 4 nights of my misery. The corporate brand replied saying it is a franchise and they have no control over the local hotel, but apologized. What could be so terrible? Let me explain... There was blood splatter all over my bedding, dirt in-between the sheets and bedding, a horrific dead animal stench in the carpet, dirty refrigerator, card key deactivates every time I leave the hotel, rotten milk in their breakfast refrigerator as I poured it into my coffee, refusal to provide change so I can pay the pizza guy and was told to go to Fred Meyer to get help, front desk clerk was continuously rude, toilet was clogged up before I even used it...And so much more. Honestly, would you stay at such a place? Are you looking to relax or experience hell? And if they offered a $50 discount to your company, not you, would that make it all better? I would say...probably not. I suffered, not the company. And $50, please...not even close. Customer Service, caring and basic cleaning is a lost art. Too bad the people there ruined the experience that could of been had. I visited many motels/hotels in 3rd world countries and this experience was up there with the worst I have seen. Do you like your chances? I gave you the inside story. There are far better choices nearby. Best wishes, Lowell
