We've stayed in 3 hotels in Albany and this is by far the best, especially for the rate. The hotel is very clean and no dingy smell. Due to a modest inconvenience our room was upgraded at no charge. Both rooms were clean and pleasant and spacious. Thier specialty suits are theme oriented and tasteful. The pool was well cared for and the cleanest in […] town. The hot tub jets were more like a soaking tub circulation system but it was hot and comfortable. There are numerous fast food places within walking distance and the police department is just down the street so patrols are often, leaving the neighborhood very safe. Jennifer at the front desk is extremely kind and talented as are her staff. Can't say enough good things. Any comment pertaining to lack of food at breakfast is due to the cliental in the area. First of all is the smell in the rooms. I guess that's what you get for staying at a place that allows pets. Second is all the pets barking and what not in people's rooms. The bathroom door looked like it was rotting apart. The shower nozzle didn't work we had to pull on it hard to even turn it and then we had to figure out where the temperatures were […] (1pm for hot water for some reason), the pool was closed down for part of the time there because they did the chemicals wrong, The front desk clerk took off for an extended period of time while everyone waited to the point the person in line ahead of me actually called the hotel to try to get a response and got none. Finally the front desk lady came back and said he was at a part of the hotel where she could hear the phone but it wouldn't let her answer it. The refrigerator int he room was going out too so int he middle of the night you would get awaken will a super loud squeaking noise. Oh and the beds were horrible... for some reason ours was very low in the middle, so my wife and I would roll towards the middle at night and it made things uncomfortable. Read more

Some traffic noise. Minor repair items in room (towel bar fell down, broken vent knob on heater.) Nice comfortable beds & quilts. Clean. My room had a bad odor to it, almost like urine so I had to sleep with my window open which kept me up all night with people walking by. And carpet had numerous stains on it. The lady at the front desk was very helpful, even helped me with directions the next day.

Great location, clean room, friendly staff. Disappointed re: pool access. We formerly stayed here and the pool was open 24 hours. Now it doesn't open until 10 am, which makes difficult to get my water exercise done before the events of the day. If you could at least open at 6 am, that would be better for your guests.

The front desk staff was very friendly. I've stayed at this hotel before. The pool and jacuzzi looked inviting, but I didn't use it. The room was clean, except for some feces on the back of the toilet seat. I didn't report it, because I travel with lysol, so I sprayed the room and cleaned the toilet seat.

Well located to Hwy 5 and Avery Park, fast food and gas. Indoor heated pool makes it good for the kids; tiny "gym" room with old or unusable equipment makes it bad for excercisers. Complimentary brekky with make-your-own waffles made my kid happy.

The management was very professional and helpful. The pool slightly cloudy and the hot tub, although it was nice temperature, jets didn't work at all. I had 3 grand daughters with me and after a long day at a horse show it would have been nice to had full hot tub treatment.

The front end staff were friendly but the facility was not what I expected based on stays at other La Quinta locations. We had a basement level room and the carpet on the basement wall side of the bed felt damp the two days we were there. Leak in the wall from recent rains? Possible. We also came back to our room on Saturday and the room smelled like […] cigarette smoke. We don't smoke and the room did not smell like smoke before we left earlier in the day. I asked if any cleaning staff members smoked and I was told no. However, later that day, I saw a grounds keeper/maintenanace man on premises smoking, so I am wondering if he was in our room while we were gone. If he was in our room, why? The day we checked in, the same guy was leaving our room just as we came around the corner at check in. He may have had a reason then but after we took occupancy? I think not. Waited at least 10 min before someone would help us to check in. Shower was horrible, work out room equipment was broken. Looked like a old hotel that got a new coat a paint. Just was not satisfied, got a bad taste in my mouth when we checked in and the guy sat in the office and ignored us, then was rude.
