I am VERY disappointed with my recent stay at the Clinton! The room I booked was supposed to have an "Open-air, private terrace with spa tub and privacy curtain overlooking the reflecting pool." When I checked in, the room didn't have a balcony. I inquired at the front desk, but the clerk told me it wasn't available. I don't understand how you can advertise […] a very specific type of room, accept my reservation (and money), and then not have that room available. That is just plain false advertising. I also had sent a FedEx package to myself at the hotel. When I checked in, neither the front desk clerk nor the concierge could find it and told me I'd have to wait until morning to check with the day shift. That is an absolutely unacceptable answer. Luckily nothing in there was medically critical, but it did contain personal items that I needed Friday night. Eventually the package turned up when I checked the next day -- after more time wasted waiting for them to look all over for it. I can overlook the paper-thin walls (it IS a party hotel) or the rust stains and soap scum in the shower or the water stains (at least I hope that's what they were) on the chair, but the pathetic level of customer service -- which felt more like contempt from the staff towards the guests -- and false advertising are absolutely inexcusable. Which is truly a shame. I've stayed here several times before and really liked the hotel, but I will NOT be staying here again. Read more

Stayed in the loft with Jacuzzi on balcony. Room was extremely small for a suite/loft. It's only a bed and a tv. Jacuzzi was dirty so I cleaned it the first day. I am not new to Miami at all, almost half a local as much as I go to Miami so I typically don't like staying right on Ocean Drive because that's where most tourist stay and it's so busy however I like being close so I can walk to the beach. This hotel is tired, dirty, and the service was lacking. Upon arrival the valet parking attendant gave me the option to pay him in cash in advance for $25 per night or pay inside at $28 per night...at least I think that's what he was trying to say in very broken english. Does not have spa stuff as advertized. Morning female bartender was unpleasent. Rest of the staff was great. Location was great. Airport shuttle service was good. Pool was nice but not big at all. Breakfast was a bit disappointing for the price. All in all decent but would look around more next time for a better deal.

Great location in south beach. Very close to everything in the area. The staff was really friendly. Check in was at 3 and we arrived early. They saw that my boyfriend and I were exhausted and check us in to a room early. The room was very spacious and we had the room with the balcony. Great room. We were given an upgrade to a suite, having purchased a deluxe single room. When we arrived in the room it had not been cleaned, but this was immediately fixed by the staff. The service was good. It was very loud. The walls seem thin and after switching rooms once because the first had a mildew smell we ended up next to an alley. Trash pick up and people woke us up every morning. The staff was nice. Hotel cleaniness was good. I would not recommend the restuarant next door, they also do the room service. below average.

The hotel is in a great location. The hallways are dark and lit with purple lighting. It's a little different. The rooms are light and minimal. The doorman was the best help and very polite and accommodating.

Let me first say that this was prob one of the best stays in Miami and SO convenient! The only time we had to catch a ride was to the airport and back. Everything was so close from the hotel that there was no need to catch a cab anywhere. (Plus you get a chance to check out the view of Miami) The reviews for this hotel did not justify for the experience […] we had. The staff was REALLY helpful and nice coming in. Was able to get us a discount for travel to the airport. Only thing I would say was a negative was the House Keeping. We stayed for three days and they only cleaned the room on the day that we left. But again it wasn't a big deal. People also complained about the "Pool being small" but WHY do you need the POOL if you have the BEACH 2 blocks Away?! Being close to the Ocean Drive, Wet Willes (Great spot to start the day), the shopping centers, and the clubs was a plus! The hotel provided some package deals to start the night w/ happy hour (Free top shelf drinks), shuttle to the club, VIP, and entrance to the club at a good price. ALSO the hotel had their own Happy Hour with the lounge that's connected with free drinks as well. Again, if you are looking to come with a group of friends or your significant other, this is the hotel to be at. If you are looking for a nice calm place or bringing your kids along, I would recommend looking for something else. This hotel was slightly dirty, we found a cockaroach in the bathroom. The look to the room was more errotic with dark blue light everywhere and there were figures of ladies on the door. I would not recommend this hotel for a family, it is more for a couples honeymoon.

The rates were amazing for the area, and the room was very clean. They were doing odd construction in the lobby all day and night. Getting the attention of the staff was annoyingly difficult. When I checked in my room had no towels. I called, and still hours later no towels had arrived. I had to push twice to get any towels for the room. The balcony door jammed and was impossible to open, so I paid extra for a balcony that was not usable. The cable went out one night and when I called they said there was nothing they could do about it at all. I wouldn't trade the location, it was one block from the beach, on a main strip and was near Lincoln Road Mall. Room size was fine, bathroom was very nice and a nice size. The website advertises free breakfast but we couldn't locate this on any day. The lighting was bizarre, all dark blacklight in the halls and it was difficult to navigate. The price of staying in the Clinton was great but the hotel it self was old and run down. The floors in our room slanted to one corner the noise from the outside was too loud. I would have paid a higher price for a better quality room.

Continental breakfast was dissapointing - just ONE cup of coffee and choice of plain bagel or plain croissant. Room was amazing - we stayed in king size room with jacuzzi. Great value for room on hotels.com. Very stylish, sexy, hip, modern room. Free drinks were OK - choice of gin or vodka.

We just arrived home from spending a full week at the Clinton Hotel; we certainly enjoyed our time in Miami, positive feedback would include the cleanliness of the room, hotel location and the friendliness of the locals. We were disappointed with the lack of consistency from the housekeeping staff, replenishment of towels, floor mats coffee and soaps […] etc. really depended on who was assigned to clean your room. Although we will always tip for great service, the only consistently was the envelope left daily for the tip. We booked at the Clinton based on their advertisement as being a “peaceful sanctuary”, our room was on the second floor and directly next to a room that played excessively loud music all hours of the night, we had to keep the air condition running and the television on so we could drown out the noise and sleep. The hotel staff was pleasant, but only spoke with us, if we asked a question, a warm smile, eye contact and a simple hello would have sent a sincere message of hospitality. Although we spent a good portion of our time on Ocean Blvd, we wanted to spend an evening back at the hotel but were quickly disappointed to learn, Happy Hour only included Vodka and you could not bring your own drinks to the pool area.
