"An Enjoyable Stay!"
Our stay at the Eola Hotel was relaxing, convenient and fun. Our room was clean and comfortable with a great view of Downtown Natchez. Hotel staff were courteous and helpful. I did let the hotel staff know the lamp by the bed was not functioning but was not fixed. Would be my first choice to stay on my next trip to Natchez.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This is fun old Hotel in the middle of this quaint historical town. Can't beat the location. Room was old, peeling paint, but very clean. No breakfast included.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was a slow week and staff seemed to be moving slowly as well. Missed a great opportunity to dazzle with service.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Paid for the Lobby"
Hotel was definitely not worth the price. The lobby was interesting, but it was dark and just old everywhere else. The bed was comfy and the people were nice. If I could go back again I would stay at the Hampton.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were delightfully surprised with this hotel. The reviews were mixed but we have only good to say. The onsite restaurant and bar are elegant and the food delicious. The nostalgia was more than we expected. The restaurant staff was friendly and the housekeeping staff 5 star. We will recommend it to our friends.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Very good neighborhood"
We can recommend itGenuine Hotels.com guest review
My previous reviews have focused on this perfectly located, 20's era hotel's need for room renovation. Nothing has changed but this time the front desk service has deteriorated. I've become a regular at the Eola over the past year due to local business. Yet their hotel management system continues to treat me as a first time guest. I can live with that […] but on this visit, I requested a late checkout to accommodate a delayed conference call. It was a Wednesday morning and I needed the room until 1 pm. The hotel manager denied the request despite the fact that I had spoken with the house keeper on the floor who said it would not cause her any issues. There's a new Holiday Inn Express in town. I guess ill try them next trip. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The Eola is a beautiful 1920's hotel and the public spaces are well appointed and worth seeing. We read a review in the AARP travel Magazine and it stated the Eola was on of the top ten places to stay in the south, however, it also stated that the rooms were beautiful and had Jacuzzi style tubs, etc. We had a King size bed which was probably as old […] as the 1980's decor in our room and NO TUB at all, much less a Jacuzzi. We only had a very small tiled shower stall. The furnishings were typical reproduction pieces that were "well used" and the polyester bedspread was like those they use in inexpensive roadside hotels. Overall the stay was nice, the staff was nice and the location was excellent, but we paid way too much for a room we could have gotten for much less with a similar feel at a "roadside" hotel. I suppose the location was why it had such a high price. We might stay there again, but if we can get a similar rate at the bigger hotel which is only on block away, we will probably stay there next year. By the way, the city of Natchez is amazing and the locals are very friendly! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
enjoyed it.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We enjoyed our short stay. The room was quite small, but I expected that from an older hotel. The courtyard is beautiful as is the hotel, but it could use a facelift. However, it's still the grande dame and is in a great location for walking to restaurants, bars, and the Mississippi!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

It was a quick trip. The Eola is always my choice. Like the Peacock Bar. Very well located in Natchez.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Dowager in Need of Attention"
I have stayed at the Eola numerous times in the past year due to its convenient location and reasonable rates. It is a classic, 1920's era, downtown hotel. While it retains a lot of charm, the guest rooms are past due for complete renovation, particularly the bathrooms. The staff is very friendly and attentive and I will continue to be a regular gu […] est. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"1927 was great...but it's time to update"
Old hotel with charm...but the room was awful!! The toilet was less than an inch from the wall. The tv was an old 12 in and the fan motor ran but the blades didn't move. The hotel restaurant reeked of old smoke and the service was not great. Next time I will stay at a B&B.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Wonderful location, has a great historic feelGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great stay in a classic hotel!"
This hotel has very good location that is close to restaurants and bars in Natchez. The lobby was ornately beautiful and the room was nice with a wonderful view from the large balcony. Staff was very friendly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Lovely old lady-hotel"
The hotel is quite old, so the clean, tidy small rooms and small bathrooms are to be expected...and even anticipated with pleasure. Unfortunately, the noises from the neighboring rooms were not expected, especially our neighbor who snored and wheezed a bit during the night. Or the revving motorcycles on the street beneath our window. The public rooms […] of the Eola are exquisite and the service was friendly. We've been there before and were grateful for the updates since then. We'll stay here again when the opportunity comes up. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Mid-Town Location"
I have become a regular at the Eola due to a nearby business client. I can walk to everything I need as opposed to the chains which are all outside the downtown area. While the public areas maintain the grandeur of a 1920's era grand hotel, the rooms are overdue for extensive renovation especially the bathrooms. If vacationing in the Spring or Fall, […] treat yourself to a balcony room, The balconies are nearly as big as the rooms. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not what we were expecting...."
The hotel is in a great location, however, it is showing its age. We love staying at historic properties, but this one needs A LOT of TLC.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Was very satisfied with service and friendliness of staff. The lunch buffet was very good.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great lounge and locale, no more"
no complaints, just a typical run down historic hotel. Just comfortable and clean enough, kind of a cool lounge, great courtyard - i could see the suites being really cool with balconies, but the average room, is an average room. Free parking - cool neighborhood.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"great place to stay"
Beautiful place to stay. Great atmosphere and very convenient to shop.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
My wife and I stayed at the Eola for our 15th wedding anniversary. The hotel is beautiful from the outside and very nice on the inside. The only complaint that I have is that the hallways are narrow, the room is very small and cramped, the t.v. is small and no refrigerator or microwave in the room. Other than that, it was very quaint and did take you […] back in time. Plus it was very convenient to all the major attractions and the beautiful antibellum homes that are in Natchez. We don't know if we would stay there again, but we might. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"would not recommend"
The hotel has this neat old romatic feel, but it's a little like visiting your grandmother in the nursing home. We were afraid to walk on the carpet in the room without shoes on. The pillows felt like the ones you almost throw away, but then decide to keep for camping trips. We kept scratching all night- not sure if it was rough scratchy sheets or […] creepy-crawlers. "Classic Southern Charm"
This hotel always makes me happy I chose it. Southern beauty, quality service and comfort abound at the Eola. Anthony at the front desk was kind, courteous and extremely helpful when hotels.com double booked my stay. The bartender was friendly and gracious even while handling a packed bar all by herself on a busy Saturday night. I'll be back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Lovely old hotel in downtown area that is greatly in need of refurbishing. Room comfortable and clean but very dated. Hotel lobby extraordinary. Hope someone will purchase building and restore it to it's grandeur!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great look but service lacked"
I loved the Eola's charm and historic look, especially regarding the old hotel's lobby. I really felt that I was transported back in time to another era. My main problem with my stay was the hotel service. Me and my wife stayed there two nights, and on the second day of our trip we came back to our room with a surprise. The maid had cleaned out room […] but had left our door slightly opened. Which meant that while we were out visiting the area plantations, our room could have visited by anyone. Thankfully, nothing was taken. The second problem, was that when I paid for the room at check-in, the hotel apparently did not charge the full rate. I paid the balance at check-out but the manager in charge was rude in explaining why there was a balance remaining. The manager seemed bvery cavalier about the mistake at check-in and seemed to care less about the situation. These may seem like minor things but it is those minor things that prevent it from being a 4-star hotel, which it could easily be. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Skip the bar and restaurant"
Hotel is old but rooms comfortable. Defiantly worth the extra money for a balcony with river view. The restaurant is over priced and the bar is horrible.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A very nice stay. Great location, friendly staff all bundled in a historic setting.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Thin walls, great bar and location"
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in Natchez and stayed at the Eola. Front desk staff were very nice, the bar was awesome, breakfast buffet was great and the location was perfect. Only complaints - the walls must be super thin because we heard our "neighbor" snoring REALLY loudly all night long....ALL night long. The bed was not comfortable. […] We requested a later checkout (requested noon--one hour later than regular checkout) the morning we were leaving, and housekeeping knocked on our door around 10:50 and we told them we were still in our room. Then, when we left about 11:45ish, we overheard the housekeeping staff complaining loudly about us staying later. They did not know we could hear them, but it was very obvious they were talking about us. It was very rude. My husband said we will not stay there again, but we'll definitely visit the bar. Awesome bartender! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Living Life in the 1940s"
My husband and I spent four nights at Natchez Eola and very much enjoyed the ambience of this historical hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The first night we walked down to the bluff overlooking the Mississippi and watched as the sun set; a beautiful sight. We were within walking distance of most everything and enjoyed our carriage drive which […] provided an overview of Natchez. We will definitely stay again if we are in this area again. We enjoyed staying in this historic hotel. It was well taken care of although our room was quite small. It is right in the middle of Natchex if that is your destination.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Old and Outdated"
Old can be a great attraction for a hotel, but in this case its just old. It desperately needs a face lift. At the very least, the bed linens could be replaced. The walls are paper thin. The staff was great.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Natchez Eola Hotel"
This is an old, historic hotel in the heart of Natchez. It has a grand lobby, a lovely semi-outdoor courtyard at the entrance, and the location is perfect for anyone wishing to walk along the bluffs of the Mississippi River or tour many of the city's antebellum mansions. The rooms can be smaller than more modern hotels, but not enough to deter a stay. […] The value for price paid is great! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"small small small"
The Eola is an older hotel with a very quaint, old style lobby. Once in the room, the hallway had a horrible odor. The room was extremely small, clean but still extremely small. It was like staying in a cubicle. Great location but for the price I would choose somewhere else next time.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Old Natchez feel hotel with GREAT location!"
Hotel was downtown in walking distance of many great homes, restaurants and shops. It had a great atmosphere and a nice staff. Would definatly stay here again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We were kept up until 3 am by the bars that were close to the hotel, we only got a couple of hours sleep before we had to get ready for an appointment. We paid for a balcony room but the only thing the balcony overlooked was the back of the buildings and the parking lot. If I would have known that I would not have purchased a balcony room.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A step back in time, like exploring your grandmothers attic.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Lovely Lobby...Made even more beautiful with the Christmas decorations. Don't miss the southern breakfast off the CourtyardGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed because I was looking for old comfortable place in downtown area of Natchez. Room was comfortable, but very small by today's standards. There was a musty smell when getting off the elevator, but room was fine. Breakfast in the restaurant was good and wait staff was very attentive (only one other there at the time though). Very convenient to restaurants […] downtown. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
the bathroom was moldy. the ceiling fixture was broken and moldy. the toilet paper dispenser was positioned so that any use of the toilet was extremely uncomfortable. the sheets on the bed were scratchy and the pillows were flat. "Eola Hotel in Natchez--strongly recommend"
Great Hotel in a great city, the only down side was loud music from a nearby bar into the early hours of the morning.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Turn of century hotel"
My sister recommended the Eola after she had picked it cold from the Internet. This is a great lobby. Rooms are small but adequate. Bed super comfortable. Great breakfast buffet. Teriffic service from bellman in finding a parking space. Natchez not on our usual trip routes but definitely would stay here if opportunity presents itself.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Hotel Natchez Eola in Natchez, MS"
We loved our stay at this very cute, historic hotel. The location was prime--right in the heart of downtown shopping, restaurants, close to casino, and our room was the perfect historical decor that we wanted in Natchez--high ceilings, period furniture and we also had a view overlooking the Mississippi River. The rate was one of the lowest during our […] entire trip in the South--great value for our vacation dollar. I would highly recommend Hotel Natchez Eola to anyone traveling in this part of the country. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Desk Attendants Rude and Unavailable"
At check-in there was no "Welcome to the Eola", but rather a terse "What's your name?" When checking in I asked directions to what I knew was a relatiively nearby restaurant and was told "I don't know but here's a map and you can find it." During my stay I went to the desk at least 3 times and no one was ever there and no one came when I called for […] assistance. There was also no bell to ring or any other way to summons someone. These were not late or early hours but normal hours druing the day or evening. On checking out, the same thing happened and after standing there for 3 minutes,, no one else was checking out, I started calling for someone. When the attendant came, she was surly and merely handed me my receipt without even a a "Thank you, come again." To be fair, the rooms were comfortable and the housekeeping staff were very prompt and courteous and able to answer questions the front desk should have been available to supply. I did not eat in the restaurant so don't know about it. However, the front desk people are the first and last contact with a hotel, so your stay is makred by their behavior which in my case was unwelcoming and showed a lack of professionalism and hospitality training. "Eola Hotel, Natchez"
Oldest downtown hotel in Natchez it is a quiet and older grand hotel. In a quiet downtown area of the community it is an easy walk to sites, restaurants, and the Mississippi River. For someone looking to indulge in the past this is for you and the rates - even during Pilgrimage are reasonable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
