"Great neighborhood with great access to the city!"
We loved staying at this hotel! Great neighborhood location with easy access to the whole city via public transportation. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was expected, but adequate. We loved the outdoor deck hang out area on the 3rd floor, great for morning coffee. It was a wonderful stay!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"loved this place"
Stayed 3 nights with my daughter. Staff was wonderful. Upgraded our room with no charge - wanted an upstairs location. Funky decor not my style but clever and fun. Hot pink bathroom good follow on to a wake-up call. Cute street full.of little shops and restaurants a couple of blocks away. Paleys even closer. Location is just perfect. On trolley line […] and Inn gives free tickets. Neighborhood feels very safe. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The room was great, but the walls were a bit thin and I could hear the neighbors. Great neighborhood though with lots of restaurants.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great Place to Stay"
My wife and I were very satisfied. Each room has a kitchenette and we made good use of ours particularly at breakfast as the breakfast servged at the hotel did not include hot dishes such as eggs. The staff was very helpful. Overall it was a great place to stay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
A little pricey, but location is tucked away yet close to 23rd st. Rooms are good but not great. Ours had a post in the middle. Beds comfortable. Nice coffee in room. We'd stay again if we could get a deal.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nob Hill Hotel Portland"
The room was large, with a kitchen, a King bed and a pull out sofa in a seating area. We were on the first floor, and the hotel was a little noisy. We could hear people walking upstairs, and we could feel the trolley when it rumbled by. The neighborhood is young with LOTS of restaurants, galleries, etc. Easy access to downtown, and several types of […] transportation. Hotel has a parking lot, big plus! Breakfast was unremarkable, but free. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Immaculate, comfortable and convenient"
Although we were encouraged to stay at a waterfront hotel, this was much less expensive and a real find. The neighborhood was full of great shops and restaurants with Powell Bookstore and other shopping and eating a short streetcar ride away (with a free pass supplied free by the hotel daily). We spent one 12-hour day just in the Pearl and Nob Hill […] districts with plenty to do. The room was large, the bed was comfortable, and the free continental breakfast was great and plentiful. In fact, it went well beyond what I would describe as continental in its offerings. Hot coffee available throughout the day in the lobby was an additional treat. I will definitely stay here again. "Wonderful hotel w/great amenities!"
This hotel was actually better than expected! The room was HUGE and wonderful! It had a full-sized fridge, stove, coffee maker (keurig), microwave, toaster, etc. My 15 month old LOVED the bright colors and the spacious room (especially the balcony). It was great that the front desk staff gives you complimentary street car tickets and provides excellent […] directions on how to get wherever you want to go! Breakfast was good & I liked that the yogurts & cheeses offered were local Oregon products! Overall, I LOVED this hotel. We only stayed one night, but this would have been a great place to spend DAYS given the full kitchen! My ONLY complaint (not really a complaint, but minor negative) is that they don't have high chairs which makes it hard to feed a little person & yourself breakfast. "Funky little hotel in a great location"
We loved the crazy decor and the staff was super nice. The room was huge and very clean. The neighborhood it is in, Knob Hill, was our favorite in Portland. The only small complaint we had was that noise. We were able to hear doors slamming and people walking in the hall. Also, every time the street car passes you can hear the rumble clearly and it […] is quite loud. The breakfast that is included was a nice touch, but the quality was not that great, about the same as you would expect from a chain motel. It is nice to have it the breakfast there, but with so many great places to eat so close by we decided to eat elsewhere most days. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel was probably one of the best I've stayed in. Great location with a street car stop just outside. Free bus tickets available from reception daily. The Pearl district is a lovely area, many of the houses have been converted into small shops on tree lined avenues. A good atmosphere. One of our rooms was upgraded which resulted in adjoining rooms […] which was perfect for our two families. Good choice of food at breakfast with coffee, water and fresh fruit left out all day. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Pleasant decor and nice staff"
Desk personnel were friendly and helpful for we out-of-towners. Trolley stop to downtown right at hotel, with desk offering complimentary trolley ticket daily. Roomy suite with handy kitchen .Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to great shopping district"
The inn at Northrup Station is a good three-star hotel in a wonderful shopping district. It is also not far from Washington Park, if one is a good walker and climber. The decor of the hotel is a little tired, and the rooms are a little stuffy unless you are able to open the balcony doors. But the value is decent, the beds are really comfortable, and […] the rooms are quite large and well-equipped, especially for those travelling with small children. "Great location at new boutique hotel"
We liked the Northrup location. Restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel was recently renovated. The rooms are LARGE with kitchenettes and balconies. My only criticism of this hotel are the VERY THIN WALLS. You can hear anyone talking in the hallway and people walking around upstairs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
We stayed here to attend an event at the Moda Center. Quick cab ride to Center was very cheap. Bar Mingo on 21st, just up the block from hotel has excellent fresh pasta and great happy hour Bellini's and martinis. This hotel has great breakfast in the lobby; waffles, cereal, boiled eggs, pastries, juice, toast and protein bars. The people behind the […] counter were very helpful in making recommendations and giving directions. We would definitely stay here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great place to stay"
Wife used to live in Portland and I have never been but I would stay here if we ever get back to Portland. Local Neighborhood is nice for being so close to downtown. "50's Retro Chic - Whimsical!"
My wife loved the decor - a brilliant and cheerful take off on 50's moderne. Room was great - a real pleasure. NS Streetcar stops 50 feet from the entrance, which makes it easy to get everywhere on public transportation. Staff was quite friendly and helpful. The room had two TV's (one large screen) although HBO was intermittant. But who cares when you […] can hop on the tram and be in Powell's (the West's greatest bookstore) in 10 minutes? "Comfy, roomy hotel with personality"
Stayed with my spouse and our boys over spring break, while college-hunting. We loved the little touches that made this hotel feel different than the average cookie-cutter place. Towers of salt-water toffee, wild colors, a great balcony right onto the street. Walking distance of hip bar (21st St.) and restaurant/shopping (23rd St., including the hugely […] popular Salt & Straw ice cream shop) zones. Good waffles in the breakfast area; could use some hot eggs or bacon or other protein, but can't complain. Very clean. Easy, convenient, free parking. "Charming hotel with easy access to transportation"
I chose this hotel because when spending days and days reading reviews, this hotel name kept coming up over and over. The location is outside of town but still within waking distance if you like to walk. Otherwise it is on the trolley line with an easy stop right outside the door. Plus the hotel provides a free trolley ticket each day! The area it is […] located in has many nice little boutique shops and great food options including not only a variety of restaurants but also coffee shops and bakeries. The buffalo burgers at Dick's Kitchen were amazing. The hotel itself is painted bright, cheerful colors with matching accessories (even a lime green toaster!). Our room came with a full kitchen and living room area as well as one of the most comfortable beds we've ever had in a hotel. The bathroom was nice and large also. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. On Wednesday evening the hotel provided a wine tasting and plentiful appetizers which was very appreciated. If I had to name any con, it would be that unlike a large hotel there isn't a concierge. So do your research before arriving as to any tours, etc. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

If you want to enjoy the best of this great Portland neighborhood, this is your spot. Walk to bakeries, restaurants and shopping, connect with public transport and sleep in a comfortable bed. Just bring ear plugs. Walls are a bit thin.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great accommodations in the Pearl"
This is not my first stay at Northrup but it was my first in many years. What a great experience! the location allowed for easy walking access to the full breadth of the Pearl District, and the room was very spacious, clean and comfortable.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel in central location"
The hotel is very close to where we had some business to complete. The general look and feel is good and staff are very friendly and helpful. The only negative is that the person in the room above could be noisy if they walk hard on the wooden floors. The free parking and close proximity to restaurants is also a big plus.Genuine Expedia guest review
Big bed, spacious rooms, free parking and mod looking. Great for the price. A couple of issues: Bring your own Internet. This is my biggest and only serious complaint. Three or four wireless networks to connect to, but nearly all had trouble handling the bandwidth of an email. Don't expect to get any work done or stream a video. The building is cheaply […] built? It just felt like the floors had a creak and flex to them that this was not a structure intended for the long haul. I felt bad for anyone who might have been below me, just walking around. I did have a few ants come out when I left the sink wet. We live on earth, that happens, no big deal. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Close to streetcar and Trimet."
Amazing colorful style and comfortable spacious rooms. Would love return and explore Portland over several days.Genuine Expedia guest review
I enjoyed my stay at the Inn at Northrup Station. The staff was friendly, the room was clean. I really liked the layout of the room and the kitchenette turned out to be quite useful as I ended up staying in the room for two extra nights due to a winter storm that made for treacherous driving conditions. The do-it-yourself breakfast (fruit, cereal, toast, […] bagels, or waffles) was a nice approach to the 'continental breakfast' that so many places offer. There was some remodeling going on in the rooms on either side of mine that made for a noisy day. The staff offered me another room, but since they were already done for the weekend, I stayed where I was and everything was fine from then on. The bottom line is that I will stay here again when I'm in Portland. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great Location with Whimsical Decor"
Hotel is nicely situated near the old Pearl district with lots of restaurant & pubs. Downtown is easily accessible by the trolley which stops near the hotel or a leisurely 2-3 mile walk. Breakfast and parking are included in the price. Suites are large with petite kitchenette, beds extremely comfortable, room clean and internet excellent. "like a studio apartment"
Inn at Northrup Station is a few blocks from the nicest neighborhood in Porland (the alphabet district NW) and the light rail train runs right past it for an easy ride downtown, which is only a mile away. You can get free passes for the light rail at the front desk. The hotel itself looks more like an apartment building, with balconies and patios with […] torches. The room is actually a studio---complete kitchen with dishes etc and a Keurig coffee maker, living room area, closet, bed, dresser drawers, bathroom. Two people could live here comfortably for a month. The decor is playful, modern, clean and nice but not pretentious. Front desk personnel were helpful and charming. Negatives: There was some peeling paint in the bathroom (but it was still a clean and pleasant bathroom). There is very little noise insulation. We were fortunate to be staying there with quiet guests so it wasn't a problem for us, but we could hear every footstep from the unit above and every conversation in the hallway. It wasn't a problem for us, but with a noisier guest list I imagine it would be. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good moderately priced place to stay in Portland ."
We have stayed at the Inn several times because it is fairly priced, easy to access from the interstate, and decorated in such a wild manner with purple walls and green walls. It is a riot of color! Breakfast place was crowded due to temporary relocation because of some building repair. We will definitely return to the Inn.Genuine Expedia guest review
We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and convience of your hotel in general. Great decor. See you again.Genuine Expedia guest review
I loved this hotel. It is different than the big chain hotels, quaint and very comfortable. It is right on the street car route making it very easy to get around. We walked downtown and took the street car back. This gave us an opportunity to explore the many shops along the way we would have otherwise missed. "would definitely return"
What a fun place! I loved the full kitchen and fun decor of the room. I would have given it 5 stars all the way across, except the lobby was under construction which was annoying and slightly loud and inconvenient. It's necessary, I understand, but even if they'd put a small thank you/apology note or gift in the rooms, that would have made a tremendous […] difference - just to acknowledge it. "Hotel a little tired but everything else great"
A little noisy. Thin walls. I think everyone recognized that and kept it down, although we were there on a Sunday and Monday. Excellent location near 21st. Parking great. Staff great. Bed really comfortable. There is a heat/AC unit in the wall. Room was warm despite turning the 'heat' down to 57. Didn't quite figure this out, but I didn't ask either. "Great location, comfortable stay"
The Nob Hill location is wonderful, with PLENTY of shopping and restaurants on 23rd and 21st. "Funky Hotel, Convenient Location"
We spent a long weekend at Northrup. The hotel is very nice. The rooms and building are furnished in bright, funky colors. We thought it was really fun. The suite had plenty of space, and a very comfortable bed. It's walking distance to lots of dining options, or short drives to all of downtown Portland. The desk said they could even give us passes […] for public transportation, but we didn't use them. We had good Wi-fi coverage in our room. Breakfast was good. Nothing fancy, but plenty to eat. I would definitely stay at the hotel again. I only had two minor drawbacks, first, to use their computer to print boarding passes, they required you to pay for 15 minutes of internet, so we just skipped it. Second, we could hear the people above us, which was entertaining to say the least! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Fun place to relax"
Our daughter first brought her daughters to stay and they loved it. Sounded quirky and fun. And it was!! The decor reminds us of Dr. Seus. The staff was very helpful. Even though we did not use the street car that is just outside the hotel. The staff was very helpful in directing another patron how to use it and daily passes were available from the […] hotel, complimentary. The staff was also available during the complimentary breakfast to restock, clean up and talk to patrons. The rooms were very clean, beautifully equipped kitchen for those who want to stay for several days. Each room had its own ice maker. Deilightful moroccan restraunt half a block away. Only downfall, the bed was a little too firm. Would we go back? Absolutely!!! Think this is going to be our stop each time we stay in Portland. "Perfect for our family vacation"
We were very happy with our entire stay! Having never been to Oregon, we were nervous about just choosing a hotel on line from across the country! We read the great reviews and hoped for the best. We were more than thrilled when we got there. The staff was friendly and the rooms large and very clean--perfect for our family of 4. There was a kitchen […] and two tvs! The trolley was right outside the hotel and a very easy trip to anywhere in the city, even with a 7 and 9 year old. It is in walking distance to a very cute section of the city with a lot of great little restaurants. Parking was free and the hotel was so convenient to every highway we needed--whether we were heading to the beach, Eugene, or Mount Hood. The breakfast satisfied even my overly picky autistic son!! We would definitely stay there again! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Would Stay Here Again in a Heartbeat"
Charming, clean, affordable, roomy and comfortable. A short walk to fun shops and restaurants. And free candy!!
