Overview

The Parkway Inn is tucked among aspen and pine trees on a quiet street, three blocks from Jackson Hole's historic town square with its unique shops, restaurants, and art galleries. The shuttle bus (surcharge) to Jackson Hole Mountain Ski Resort stops in front of the hotel, and various tour operators pick guests up at the door. Among the numerous activities that can be arranged are skiing, fly fishing, hiking, river rafting, hot air ballooning, dog sledding, and golfing. On-site recreation includes a fitness room, indoor lap pool, two spa tubs, and two saunas. Complimentary continental breakfast is served daily in a fireplace lounge. Cold lemonade is provided in summer, hot apple cider in winter, and board games and a collection of books are available for guest use. This is a smoke-free property.
The Parkway Inn features 37 guest rooms and 8 suites in a 2-story building and 4 suites in a separate cottage. The style is reminiscent of turn of the century architecture. The guestrooms are decorated in American antiques and have all the small touches and the level of comfort you would expect from a fine country inn.

A clean and comfortable facility with a good in-town location. The desk staff was courteous and competent. The room was spacious and well appointed, but the bathroom area was tiny; beware if you are a large person (I'm not). The facility is has two stories and no elevator, so if you can't lug bags up stairs, be sure you are on the ground floor. I would stay here again.

This is just a motel with fancy furniture. Two story ,no elevator, sheet vinly floors in bath ,old tub and toilet. The breakfast area is scattered in two rooms and the breakfast itself is not as good as your low end motels. A real average place nothing special. It was within walking distance to the town, but so are most accomodations. If I returned to Jackson I would look for a different place to stay. The pictures make it look better than it actually is.

This is a charming hotel in a very convenient location for downtown Jackson. We were given the suite for an unusually low price (perhaps because it was late in the season), and it was a perfect room for the five of us (3 adults, 2 kids). It had two bathrooms, sliding doors separating the bedroom from the sitting room, and a huge 2nd floor balcony where we could eat and relax. The staff told us they try to maintain a bed-and-breakfast atmosphere and I think they get close to doing so. Unfortunately, an early flight meant that we didn't get to try their breakfast.

The new mattress was very soft, so soft that my husband slept on the floor. The hotel staff did their best to correct this situation. The air conditioner was very loud. Our room was also right next to the continential breakfast area and we were awoken every morning to the sound of clinking glass and movement. It would be a fine hotel to stay in if you were not worried about a soft mattress and were an early riser.

My daughter and I stayed at the Parkway Inn in Jackson over a recent weekend, and we found it to be a VERY comfortable and clean hotel, with a B & B feel. Ammenities were great, and location was about perfect (though Jackson is a fairly small town, and most hotels there are conveniently located to everything). I was just a bit put off by the front desk people I dealt with. Not the most courteous (perhaps someone was having a bad day, however, that should not affect *my* day...). I had this experience with both people I spoke with at the front desk. I didn't feel so 'welcomed' as I would have expected... Other than that, we felt very much *at home* at the Parkway, and would definitely stay there on a return trip.

I was lead to take a room in this hotel by the positive reviews that I had read before making my reservation. It turns out that the good things that were said were true! My wife particularly enjoyed the period furniture as the style reminded her of some of her childhood furnishings. The breakfast was presented very nicely and kept supplied and clean. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The only "clinker" was that a couple of the TV stations were having some kind of problem. I reported this to the clerk when we departed. But, this was only a small thing, and was more of a surprise owing to the quality of everything else.

It was a nice hotel for the money, but all the floral wallpaper and the way they had it set up was like staying at grandmas house. The antiques are nice but they need to revamp the place. As a younger person they treated us like we were going to tear the place up (we are in our late 20's). Our room had rips in the wallpaper and a hole in one of the doors. I think for the standard they try to present they are not quite living up to it.

I chose this hotel on three criteria - the proximity to the centre of town, the price, and the high ratings it had received from other guests. We walked into the room and were struck by the decor - heavy on the floral wallpaper and bedspreads! We particularly admired the effort taken to wallpaper the lightswitches too. After getting over the shock though, the beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was clean, rooms were quiet, and the continental breakfast was light and tasty. If your tastes run towards the 50s (?), I would recommend this as a good place to stay, I just prefer something more contemporary.

We had a great stay at the Parkway; the room was large and comfortable, the location was close enough to walk to food, the breakfast was above par, and we took advantage of the nice pool and hot tub every day after skiing. Our wall paper was a bit old fashioned (an overwhelming floral design), but that was the most of our complaints.

This hotel has been one of my favorites, especially for the price. Lots of character--rooms have quilted bedspreads and antique looking furniture, a far cry from the cookie-cutter hotel chains. Bed was super comfortable, starbucks coffee in the room and good tea selections. Continental breakfast was decent, (excellent granola) and held in a little side room with a fire place. Exercise room and pool space were very nice. Hotel staff was very nice and super knowledgable about the area and places to go for certain types of cuisine (I wanted to try an elk steak for example).

The cleanliness of this hotel, and the careful attention to the details of the room speak of the pride with which this staff conducts their work. Friendly, knowledgeable staff, nice breakfast, carefully appointed, warm facility make it an excellent place to stay. Loved the quilts and other items that gave the hotel a hospitable, Western feel. The front desk staff were exceptionally knowledgeable of the area's hotels, travel routes, and activities. Would certainly return again!

Just a few blocks from the main square. Rooms were clean. Location is quiet and restful. City park across the street, great for kids. Decor could use updating.
