"Losing Sight of Customers’ Motivating Factors"
08/03/14 Hoa Y
The most negative aspects of my overall experience (August 2014) (1) were being disappointed in the very concept and principles that motivates me to choose Extended Stay America over its competitors; in that, among other factors, having kitchen utensils and accessories available, in the room at check in. However, not only was that not the case, but making them available was not done in a timely manner either. In addition, (2), the top blanket or bedspread was wrinkled and untidy. I have been a patron of this hotel chain numerous times throughout the country, but it appears that perhaps I need to rethink the value vs dollars ratio. Finally, having a more spacious room is more customer friendly than having unnecessary furniture items such as extra miscellaneous desks. For example, a studio (queen-size bed) is less spacious than a “double, double” is but if only necessary furniture was provided than the room would be more accommodating for customer’ items. Trust the customer, space is better than unnecessary clutter. This concept encourages repeat business, nation-wide. I love the concept and principles of Extended Stay America business model; however, I hope that customers' feedbacks serve a more meaningful purpose than say “mere acknowledgements” of patrons’ experiences.

Everything is pretty good minus the pot smoking guests stinking up the entire floor..complained but nothing done...my kids got tired of Smelling pot all day and night...was overjoyed when they moved out only to find the hotel staff just moved the pot smokers to another room on a different level ... I feel sorry for the guests surrounding the new room....anyways everything wake is very good clean and comfy...it's great you can do laundry at the site and cook a meal can't beat that..oh yes and it's super close to outlets Target and Safeway and the freeway!!!

We stayed at this hotel through their renovations. We had to be relocated in the hotel in the hotel and thought it would only be for a few days, but it ended up being a permanent relocation. None of the staff offered to help us in moving our stuff. It is a nice hotel, especially with the renovations and the location in at the northern end of Vacaville, away from the noise, but close to restaurants.

Great place to stay--clean and comfortable, with plenty of room to work. We love being able to cook. I think their pet fee at $25 per night is too high--far more than other places--but it's still overall a good bargain if you stay a week or more.

great value rooms are pretty good, but I'll be was under construction neighbors dog kept barking and there's no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom. It was nice to have a refrigerator, microwave, stove and sink. overall customer service was good location is great right off the freeway easy access to a 80west and 80east.
My wife and I spent Friday through Monday to have some time by ourselves. To do some shopping near the Nut Tree for some stuff that we could locate elsewhere. Beautiful weekend in Vacaville, California at ESA (EXCELLENT HOTEL) EAH/VRM

I stayed there for a month and the staff was Excellent from the time I called to book my stay until I left. The staff Naomi, Tyreick, Sonya and the wonderful housekeeping staff made sure I had everything I needed. I even had the opportunity to meet wonderful guests who were staying there. I have to tell you that they do not put up with loud guest and noise there which made my stay better. The only thing I would recommend is getting more comfortable mattress. Love you guy and will miss you all. Room 218 Mrs. Tyler

We spent almost 3 months here along with the rest of the crew that came out here to install the water meters for Vacaville. The price they gave us considering this was California was very reasonable. The rooms were clean and in decent shape. We had originally been put in a non smoking room on the first floor and it was a little nicer than the one we moved to which was a smoking on the third floor, but they were both perfectly adequate for our needs. The cleaning staff are very good and very nice, the front desk staff were good and helpful too. Gotta give kudos to Vanessa the Manager, she did a lot to help us out when we had a problem. I had forgotten a nice set of skillets I had in the first room when we moved and one of the cleaning staff was nice enough to tell me but unfortunately when I went to the front desk to ask about them, they had placed them somewhere and couldn't find them for me so Vanessa bought me a new set of pans which I thought was really nice. They found them later, so I told them just to give them to the girl who had been nice enough to let me know that I had forgotten them in the room in the first place. Anyway, the room itself was comfortable and nice. The beds were a little hard but comfortable enough. The kitchen was adequate and everything worked. The bathroom was nice and had plenty of room. The water pressure is better on the first floor. The water wasn't very hot for the first couple of months we were here, but it got better the last few weeks of our stay so they must have replaced the heaters with new ones or something. They are doing a lot of renovations. The walls are somewhat thin, but for the most part it was usually quiet after 10pm. Unfortunately they have a construction site next door that starts up around 6:30 in the mornings on weekdays so it isn't easy to get much sleep after then if you're a light sleeper like I am. They have coffee in the Lobby along with some breakfast items such as muffins and they have a decent laundry room but it's recommended if you have to do laundry on the weekends to make sure you get change in advance on the weekdays because they usually don't have any change at the front desk on the weekends. And it's $2 a load to wash and $2 to dry so it's a little expensive. The hotel is located in a convenient area, you can walk across the street and have a good meal or a drink at The Hideaway. There are also fast food restaurants such as Jack in the Box, Subway and McDonald's in the surrounding area and convenient stores all within easy walking distance. I really enjoyed our time out here in California and the stay here at this hotel really made it that much better. I hope we will be back this way again someday for another job and we can stay here again.
"Exceeded My Expectations"

I recently had a long term management assignment in Fairfield. Having no idea what to expect for an an "extended stay" I am so far quite pleased with the Vacaville Extended Stay America. No ESA is not 5 Star hotel living, but the room is clean and provides me with all that I need in the way of basic comort, ammenities, and services. Even before I checked in, when I first called both the Vacaville location for info and then later the 800 number for a reservation, they each worked to get me the best rate possible for the time period I was going to need a room! After chekcing the manager Vanessa and her staff has been super friendly and very helpful to my requests for extra towels, blankets, & pillows; and to know more about getting around the Vacaville area! Even a little thing like mentioning the bed is a bit hard, gets the staff to without asking provide me with an extra matress padding that went over the mattress so as to make sleeping much more comfortable! As far as I can see they do a thorough job doing their contracted once a week cleaning. I know I could ask (and pay) for more frequent housekeeping, for my room, but unless you are a total slob why would you need to?! My stay in Nor Cal may take me through the end of 2013 and if so I will be staying on at ESA! : )
