Trenton is not exactly premier tourist destination, but if to have business in the area, Trenton Mariott is probably the best option out there. Hotel is a little dated, but safe and clean, with parking nearby.I took chances and parked on the street and it was fine

Stayed at the Hotel as a stopover on the way to DC. Arrived late and staff was efficient and courteous. The room was quite warm but we were able to turn off the heat and open the window to cool it down. Room was very clean and comfortable. This business […] model was obsolete a decade ago. The cheapest motel chains provide free internet, usually wireless. McDonalds gives free wireless to all customers. There is free internet in the lobby, but for confidential business data, this is simply not enough. Why does the hotel not charge for toilets, or warm water, or the ice machine? These are expected basic conveniences, and in 2013 we also expect ease of access to the internet. Again, this is very disappointing, and I blame corporate policy. Read more

The hotel is just fine but seeming to perhaps show its age, though that would not stop me from staying there again. Location is very good, staff were all extremely cordial and helpful, and condition of the property, while not super-wonderful, was comfortable and certainly fine as a place to stay. Isolated downtown. The hotel is nice- as are most Marriotts. I woke to a floor-party in the hall at 3:15am and asked to be moved to another room. Was moved to the other end of the hall- which did not solve the noise issue, despite the security guard's warning to the loud guests. We stayed here to take the train to NYC from the New Jersey Transit Center. We were hoping to be able to walk from the hotel to the train station, but after arriving it didn't seem like the area of town that is best to walk in at 10pm at night. So instead we drove and paid additional parking. The hotel is ok, but there isn't anything really around it […] beside government buildings. We arrived around dinner time and couldn't find a decent place to eat and ended up eating at the hotel's restaurant. The restaurant was empty except one other couple, which made us a little nervous, but the food was decent. I ordered the house salad and was pleasantly surprised at the size and amount of vegetables. We were traveling with our grandchildren 6 year & 18 mth old so we were a little disapointed that there was no mirowave or refrigerator in our room. Other than this & that we had to pay for parking, it was ok. The staff was very helpful with info directions to nearby things to do.

Spent 5 nights at the hotel and found the hotel staff helpful and friendly. Had breakfast in the restaurant twice, a bit pricey, but the food and service was fine. WiFi and parking were not free... each was about $13 per day.

Great hotel, clean, updated, well appointed. Front desk staff were great, restaurant staff were horrible. Four tables were full and we could not get the wait staffs attention for things like ordering, getting additional coffee and paying the bill. I would definitely stay there again and either get room service or eat elsewhere.

The hotel wasn't on the corner as I expected, and I didn't see it from the corner (probably my mistake). I looped around a little to find it. A more prominent sign on the corner of 206 and Lancaster would have been useful to me. My stay was wonderful.

I did not realize where the hotel was until I got there and then I had to lock all my car doors while driving. Downtown Trenton is full of capital buildings and court houses that are surrounded by the ghetto. I was glad that I only went to the hotel to sleep and shower. We had booked two rooms at the same time and when we arrived they put us in rooms way down the hall from each other. The man at the desk made it sound like he was giving us rooms that were the gems of hotel. They looked like regular old hotel rooms to me. Also it cost $13 a piece to park your car in their garage. It's not like you had much of a choice. […] The people at the desk were not overly friendly at all. Breakfast in the morning was odd. There were no signs stating whether you had to pay for anything so after eating we were presented with a bill for $16 a piece for a meal that was nothing more than a continental breakfast. Over $60 for 4 people for breakfast is ridiculous. Even the drinks at the bar were extremely overpriced. If you're trying to make money, just up the price of the rooms and include breakfast and parking. Don't slap your guests with extra costs they weren't expecting. Read more
