After an exhausting 48 hrs before arriving in San Diego via Chicago from Dublin I was delighted that the hotel was 5 minutes by cab from the airport. The fare was low which was a good start for a budget trip. The room was clean and surprisingly comfortable and roomy. Certainly old and not fancy, some more air freshener would work and the linen while cleaned had some miles on the clock. Good big bathroom, plenty of towels etc.. What an excellent location for walking to bars and music venues with Little Italy on your doorstep for breakfast in the sun. For a one night stay at low cost in a great part of town, ideal. Staff were helpful and friendly

A nice, clean hotel located very centrally, with a good breakfast The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. The only complaint I have of the hotel their beds are too hard to lie in.

We were disappointed in the cleanliness of our room, even though it was over the holiday the maids need to do a better job and at least change the sheets after 3 days as we requested.

Stayed the weekend and had a fantastic time. Staff was super Friendly and very helpful. The room was very pleasing well kept and perfect for a nice romantic get away. Overall we had a great experience. I will 100% stay here again. Recommended for sure!!!!!!
"Deceiving Rooms"
The pictures on your webiste are deceiving. I chose this hotel because I thought I was getting a two room suite, similar to what the pictures are on your website. To my dismay, it was a one room "suite." The staff was not accommodating at all.

Still a very nice hotel for the price... quiet area, but close to the I-15 and some shopping centers (not walkable). Breakfast is above average, but you will get bored after a couple days despite the SS small variations of the menu. Seems to be a popular hotel for tweens, it's happened during my several stays here. Lends itself to late night/early morning […] noise in the hallways, pool area and breakfast. But the rooms are nice and spacious and otherwise very quiet. Cleaner and newer than most hotels. The one and only hotel elevator broke down while we there, which was unfortunate for those of us on the 2nd floor with heavy suitcases. Read more

Clean, new and convenient to many shops and restaurants in the Rancho Bernardo area. Frendly staff and the property is pet-friendly too. I vist this area often and will definitely stay at this property again.

"Very badly maintained hotel"
We checked into two rooms for two nights. Our room had dirty footprints from children on the walls and handprints on the woodwork. It had obviously not been cleaned well. There were hairs on the bathroom floor that did not belong to us. My son's room was clean but the bed was not made the second day. I realize the hotel has "light touch" cleaning but […] this was almost non-existent. The carpeting in the hallways was stained and had "bubbles" under the carpet. The King One Bedroom Suite is a great room. However, the hotel overbooked and put us in an unsatisfactory "Queen Handicapped Room" the first night. This was corrected to what we had reserved the next morning by the gracious day clerk, Jennifer. Breakfast and extra amenities like basketball court, BBQ, and pleasant lounge are great. "nice for long stays I bet"
we had reserved a 2 bed room but when we got there, we were offered a queen bed and pull out couch. The couch wasn't too comfortable. They said they were "upgrading" us but not going to charge the upgrade amount. Gee thanks. It was too late to go anywhere else since we have 2 small kids. The kitchenette was nice even though we didn't need it.

The mini suite was great for the money, with a fully furnished kitchen that had utensils and every appliance. Beware of the pet charge. It is the same, no matter how big or small is your pet. We had a non shedding, house broken, small dog, that I thought the pet charge was a little too much for the privilege of having her stay with us. Our Suite was clean and spacious. The Kitchenette contained everything from Pots and Pans to Dinnerware and utensils. The free Breakfast Buffet was awesome. It had a big selections of Foods. This is the best hotel I've stayed at in San Diego. The employees were very friendly and very accomodating. We give them an A++ for Customer Service. We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite which was perfect for my family. The buffet breakfast was excellent too! Next time I make it to San Diego, I will defnitely be staying at this hotel.
