No wifi in room. Very Basic. Filled my requirements for the two night stay. I think it's also a place where people live. IT does have it's own bar and night club in the hotel which was nice since its far from the night life like the Hilton.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good for the price"
We stayed here for one night as our entire stay was not available at the resort we stayed at the other nights. For the price, this hotel was decent. No frills but it was clean, safe, staff was friendly and helpful, parking was $20 for the day, location was near shopping, the beach, etc. If you're on a budget and need a decent, clean, friendly place […] to stay, this is a good choice. It was pretty quiet too - didn't hear the neighboring people but then again, we didn't spend too much time in the room as we were out enjoying Oahu. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Procedure for parking sucks"
Won't let you park your car because they want you to check in first. They said park my car on the side and walk to the front desk. My plan was to park my car first. Then go to front desk and check in. When ever I decided I needed my car I would show them my room key and pay for parking at that time. My point to the whole story is this. I don't want […] a hassle going into any parking structure because once you enter my car is trapped. So what's the point in paying for parking in advance. It's just a pain in the a_ _ _. Won't be staying here again. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Needs major updating"
Not much on the positive side except large pool deck. The beds were uncomfortable. Old peeling paint, mildew etc. It is part hotel and part residence where people rent monthly. Signs for us to take out our own garbage to 4th floor, also no ice machine available for entire hotel. The elevators are slow, no a/c and get hot, stuffy and very stinky. There […] are no noise barriers, can hear everything in hall, other rooms and even the emergency vehicles and we were over 20 stories up. Would not recommend. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
People who worked there were nice. Ok if you need a cheap hotel. Lamp shades were bent and stained and blinds were broken.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel staff very rude ! Especially when they know u booked thru "hotels.com" !Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The hotel is old and outdated. This property needs some serious upgrades to the rooms. The staff is nice, parking is through a third-party, which cost $20 a day. A common complaint of all guests is that the key cards constantly do not work, even among the condo residents. The thing that made hotel room okay is that it has a microwave, coffee maker, […] and mini fridge. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location, great staff"
This hotel gives you a lot for your money. If you are going to complain about how old the hotel is, or lack of fancy-schmancy amenities, then don't stay here. If you are going to complain about the dingy curtains, old carpet or the beds, don't stay here. But, if you want a clean, comfortable hotel with a pool, great views, wonderful staff, and a fantastic […] location to Ala Moana, shopping, Waikiki, the beach, and the Hilton Hawaiian Hotel, then stay here. I loved the location and the staff was really friendly and helpful. They even helped me get a picture of the Ala Wai canal with Diamond Head in the background. This hotel is old, but you can't beat the service and location. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Low-budget roach motel"
Terrible experience at the hotel not clean at all for one it was very dated the staff was very nice but the hotel room was roach motel at it's best.... Never recommend this place to anyone.... I stay in hostels and this was terribleGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great location. 10 minutes from airport no traffic"
Pros: Decent cheap hotel. Good pool/ jaquizzi. Cute restaurant downstairs. Great location, 10 min from HNL airport no traffic. 2 min from nearest gas station. 5 min drive from mall/ Waikiki beach/ zoo Cons: Parking is expensive $20/ 24 hours. And the housekeeper didn't come by. Customer service is ok, don't take things personal. Thin walls.Genuine Expedia guest review
O.k. To use as a budget base, not to spend time hereGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good for relaxing"
This place was nice. Its ok if you just want to get away, to someplace inexpensive. The only thibg about the rooms was that its hard and the mini fridge was on the ground (could have at least put it on a table).Genuine Expedia guest review
"I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!"
I thought it was a very convenient stay for only one night. But it is NOT A PLACE TO STAY ANY LONGER than that. NOT MY CUP OF TEA AT ALL...Genuine Expedia guest review
We were very pleased with the hotel for the cost, less than $100 per night and firm beds, very clean, ten minutes from the beaches and helpful staff. We'll stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Floors were filthy bathroom was filthy. Will never go back. We did not feel comfortable good thing is we only stayed one night.Genuine Expedia guest review
Front Office - Service - Help totally rude. No eye contact whatsoever when asked any questions. She should not be there she doesn't completely answer you the proper way completely rude & no manners. It would have been better if they have the maid in the front office to welcome you. There's no ALOHA welcome. Definitely would not come back.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is like an old run down apartment building, everything was dirty and/or broken. The $20/daily parking fee is also ridiculous.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Close to the exit of Waikiki"
Surrounding area was the best part of staying at this hotel. A parking fee that you have to pay in cash/not part of the hotel was inconvenient. The room was comparable to a motel, not a hotel. It is a tall building, so the view was nice.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"4 walls and a bed"
That's all this place was, a bed and 4 walls. Motel 6 is better than this place. Stained greasy looking floors that haven't been vacuumed, yellow stained tub, squeaky stiff bed, windows that don't open, closed caption tv, no useable outlets, alternating hot/cold water, and obstructing furniture. That's just in the room alone. My first visit to the island […] and I was really disappointed in the outside alone. A rundown place with little to offer, for a few $$ more stay place better. They shutdown the water at 9am for repairs, I couldn't get an early check-in and that's after I had to call 4 different times.Wifi was a charge in the room, but not in the lobby. The lobby was 3 chairs in front of the desk that were always filled with residents. The hallways were permeated from the restaurant cooking below(some bad/good smells). No soap for purchase in the laundry area, I had to go to the pharmacy down the block, which conveniently had a Laundromat next door. The only plus was the Laundromat in the hotel had credit card washing/drying machines, so no need to get coins, but the Laundromat next to the pharmacy was cheaper 1.25/2.75 at the hotel.I could only find to 2 good outlets to use,1 behind the bed after moving it and the other in the bathroom. There hairdryer was a joke, I could blow harder than that thing. Sirens were a constant alarm clock. My next stay I will spend the extra $$ and stay at a better place. It worked, and the staff was friendly but just not worth it for the price. "close to everything"
This hotel is not a five star place but it is comfortable and close to all the sites. I went to see my boyfriend in the army for three days and the hotel was perfect.Genuine Expedia guest review
"JUST A PLACE TO SLEEP"
THIS PROPERTY IS AND HAS BEEN TIRED AND IN NEED OF A VAST REMODEL/REJUVENATION. A BROCHURE IN YOUR LOBBY REFERRED US TO AN ABSOLUTE DIVE BAR THAT DID NOT EVEN SERVE FOOD, AND THE ON-SITE BAR WAS BEYOND GHETTO. HAVING SAID THAT, THE STAFF WAS HELPFUL AND VERY VERY KIND.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Overall, the hotel was clean; however, the lobby/hallways had a smoky smell. The room was clean and comfortable enough. The hotel location is very convenient for downtown Honolulu, but noisy as outside noises such as ambulances, police cars were louder than expected.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"This is not a hotel"
This is an older condiminium facility that has about 40 rooms that are rented out. There is a desk facility that provides check-in and additional towels if needed. The facility is divided with separate elevators for the condiminiums and the extra rooms. Most rooms on the "Hotel" side are rented by the month to long term visitors or people employed or […] looking for work in wakiki at greatly reduced rates. The room was small but satisfactory. the furniture was old but acceptable if you are not in the room a lot. The room was FILTHY. There were dust bunnies in the corner; the ceiling was covered with dust that would become dislodged and drop on the bed when the window airconditioner cycled on. The floor needed vacuuming and the carpet was soiled. This was reported to the front desk and nothing was done to correct any of the issues. I do no know if there is a full time housekeeping staff because no one ever responded though I asked at different times of the day and evening. I do not believe the carpet was vacuumed anytime during our four day stay. The beds were not remade on two of the four days. Unfortunately, I had prepaid Expedia and the Monarch had their money so there was no reason for the facility to be responsive. There was no option but to stay or incur additional expense. "Close to many places, garage is right here"
Quite good, but without WIFI in the room. Отстаньте от меня :)Genuine Expedia guest review
not in a very good area of waikiki altho you can walk to anyplace from hotel Hotel is VERY dated, needs new everything. They give you coffee for only 1 day, here you are in land of Kona coffee and this cheap hotel doesn't provide coffee. TV remote went out one nite, needed new batteries, none at front desk, if you could find someone at front desk, could […] help. Only thing I could say about this hotel was that it was cheap. Guess the old adage, you get what you pay for applies here. Fortunately, I only slept there, as my family was staying at another place, close to beach and I spent most of my time with them. "funky, but adequate"
it was a great location to get around and the front desk service was awesome, as well as the view from the roof. Drawbacks: noisy traffice all night, lamps glued to the tables ( really?) and a room safe with no bottom, that was not attacjed to anything.Fair price.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Close to Downtown Waikiki"
Pros - Room was clean. Room condition was ok. Bed was clean. Good view. Had all necessary equipment in room. Cons - Not enough towels. Key card to elevator and room gave me tough time. Very difficult to operate. Shower knob was not working properly.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Good for who's on a budget!"
The location was great, but the service was horrible, with the exception of Clifford! He's a great guy, and always made me feel welcome every time I walked by him :) The other front desk agents are the worst people I have ever seen working in the industry! I work in the industry, and you don't need a fancy hotel to make it an incredible stay! The staff […] does! They clearly do not care for their jobs! I waited once for over 15 min while they were too busy in the back talking about "business," and I also had to ask to remind housekeeping to change my sheets, because they would mark the rooms as cleaned when in reality they were never cleaned! "Know what you're paying for."
Lets start with the obvious: Hawaii isn't cheap. Waikiki area is even more an example of it. This hotel with its good location is on the lower price end than most hotels so take that into account. No, you won't be created with a lei or find exquisite chocolates during your turndown service. However, think of this as the aloha motel 6 and your expectations […] will be met. The location is great with a short walk to eats, buses, car rental, hop on and off tour, the fireworks and the beach. It's a safe neighborhood and while the building needs updating (paint, get rid of carpet and get tile ) it is still clean and comfortable. We had room 2008 which had a great view of the canal and diamond head. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a cheap hotel and a good location. If you want superfriendly service, new amenities, and all that stuff, you'll be disappointed tho. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Only needed hotel for a few hours"
Good enough to crash between cruise and flight home. Desk clerk very nice. Extremely tight room. Would not be happy if staying any length of time. Should have booked closer to airport or taken the shuttle. Cost us $45 for a taxi.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not really a hotel"
when a high-rise has 50 hotel rooms and 350 + condo units it is not really set up to be a hotel - at least not this building. Awful bed; sheets as thin as anything and n in-windwo A/C that could not cool the room properly. When I asked about ice, I was told the machine broke a while ago and has not been replaced - you have to take a cup and go down […] the the bar and ask nicely for some....really. I know I wasn't spending Ritz Carlton prices but this was shabbier than a motel 6. Very disappointing Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Key card issues"
Other than the key card readers in the elevators and your room door the hotel was very nice. Having to insert the key as many as 40 times before it actually worked was a pain. Invest some money and fix the readers or whatever is not working.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hawaii is beautiful ,but when we open our hotel room we can't not believed it ,was almost like a jail room ,the bed was so small the mattress so old and duty carpet! we refused to take the room and start looking for another hotel room, the manager gave us a different room little bid better, but; not much! loved the view!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"It's a one nighter"
This hotel was good for a night or two if your passing through. The bathroom was really small and the shower didn't work that well but was adequate. Carpet in the hall ways is outdated and smells. The bed was comfortable for the night but then I was tired. It was bigger and nicer than the hotel I stayed at in Tokyo. Easy in and out of Waikiki area.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Grossest Hotel Ever!"
When we showed up at this hotel we were told it was full. (even though we had already booked and paid through Expedia) When I showed the check-in girl our reservation # she said "oh". Then she gave us a room key and sent us on our way. When we opened the door to our room the smell nearly knocked us over. The WORST puke/stinky cheese smell ever. It was […] so bad. We went back down to the desk and we were then told that this was our room and we couldn't switch to another room because they were full. I told the girl that I found it hard to believe that every single guest had checked in and all the rooms were currently occupied. I was livid. I told her I was going back to my room and calling Expedia and I was also going to put a bad review on here. (The first bad review I have ever given) I was on hold with Expedia when she rang our room and told us that magically a new room had appeared. This room wasn't perfect either, the carpet was FILTHY and the room was overall pretty dirty. We survived it and at least it didn't smell like a bucket of puke. I wouldn't stay here again even if it was free. No wi-fi (unless you want to hang out in the bar next door), unhelpful staff and dirty. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Close to Convention Center"
The hotel was very close to the convention center and a 20 minute walk from Waikiki Beach. I was there for 4 nights, only had coffee for the first morning and room service only appeared once (just to leave 2 new towels, dirty dishes remained). The TV did not work, and I requested a wake up call on two different days, which I never received.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"The Breakfast Makes Up for EVERYTHING"
This is an affordable hotel that is situated closely to the Hawaii Convention Center and other larger chain hotels (i.e. Hilton). The room was clean. The facility was decent. But the breakfast/brunch spot (Cream Pot Brunch Cafe) located in the hotel is AMAZING. My roommate and I ate there for three days in a row, trying nearly every delicious thing […] on the menu. It more than made up for the basic accommodations. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Good room, good location, good price"
The hotel is located 10 minute walk from the beach and 10 minute walk from Ala Moana Mall. Good location. The price was the most reasonably priced. Almost half what others charged, good for a budget. The rooms were a little small and the carpet flooring a little older, but they were clean , and they offered 2 double beds not singles. The hotel had a […] nice pool on the fifth floor.
