Its more like a badly maintained Motel on the freeway, middle of no where. This hotel vas dirty and poorly managed. Beds were uncomfirtable, towels were smelly, sink area and the bathroom was poorly maintained. There was nothing about the room that could ba calssifies as good.

AC didn't work, dirty, not recommended. Close to subway line.

I've stayed here several times and have reviewed this hotel before. This time the cable was completely bad on the tv to the point where it was pointless to attempt to watch it. There must have been a new housekeeper because when we checked in to the room the was no toilet paper and when the room was serviced the next day there were no washcloths. There are always simple fixes except for the crappy cable. I'm not always staying there to "do business" out on the town, but the cable is part of the room rate and theirs sucks terribly. As said before, I would continue to stay. Oh, again in this room the heating/cooling unit knob didn't work right. I've been in many of there rooms and that seems to be a common problem. Because I know this, I expect it. No big deal when you're used to it, but they do ALL need to be fixed.

Pros: Close to the metro station, Good neighborhood, comfortable bed,cheap price. Cons:T.V. only had good reception on one channel, Room smelled like smoke and lysol.

I've stayed at this Travelodge several times over the past two months and for some reason there's always something wrong in the room. Could be the gap under the door letting in cold air, the toilet continuously running (I fixed that), towel bar falling off, thermostat knob not working right, color on the tv going in and out, bad tv reception, and probably something else. Overall, the rooms are comfortable, no problems with the neighbohood, and front desk staff are helpful. Would definitely continue to stay and thanks to hotels.com for saving me a bunch of money after spending way too much without using this site.

for the price it was OK. 10 min. walk to metro. No fridge. No HBO. No Breakfast. Neighborhood is sketchy to the south, Metro walk9Silver Spring Station) is to the north.

It is not a very comfortable.

This hotel was close enough to the capitol area. For the price I had paid, I would have thought that a breakfast was included, instead, they have a Subway restaurant "convieniently located just steps from your room" as if the price of the hotel wasn't enough they are nickle and diming you. The neighborhood was sketchy(shady people hanging around), it appeared that there was a family living in the room right next to me. The walls are so thin it was easy to hear people having sex. Not very good for a family trip.

First room upon arrival was large and clean but the internet connection, via ethernet cable, did not work. I told the front desk and the manager appeared at the room, identified the outlet, connected the wire but didn't want to deal with the reality that there was no signal available. He walked away in a huff stating that he was "too busy" for this issue. I then went to the front desk and obtained another room. The internet connection worked but discovered that the outlets at the base of the table lamp did not. It was necessary to purchase a multi-outlet device so that there were sufficient outlets to accommodate all my electric devices. Recommend that you check everything before unpacking.

The hotel had a shabby look on the outside however the rooms were much worse. There was signs of mode in my room and the walls were in need of serious repair. My pillow covers were stained. The toilet was not working properly as it would not flush.

The rooms were shabby, at first they tried to give us a room with a double bed insisting it was a king, there was a cigarette burn and blood or lipstick on the bedspread. When they cleaned the room there were alot of places they missed vacuuming.

The hotel was average. The bathroom needed some work-broken tile and fixtures were old. It was somewhere to sleep and there were no bugs.

The carpet was nasty and dirty, the HBO channel went out w/o and explanation and they need to update the restaurants in the surrounding area. The advertise restaurants on Piney Branch Road which is not close, but neglect to mention all of the restaurants and attractions within walking distance, downtown Silver Spring.

Hotel employees were very friendly. TV had FOX News! Great!

Bad, I found bugs inside bedroom and needs lot of odor control in the room.

Only for an emergency would I stay here again.

Room smelled, air conditioning unit did not have the knob to adjust temperature, bugs were on the bed, outlet for closck and bed side light did not work.

We needed a cheap accommodation, but were extremely put off by the lack of cleanliness and especially the filthy carpeting. This was particularly unsatisfactory because of our three children, one just four years old. children gravitate toward the floor for play.

The hotel was cheap for the area. You can expect a roach or two but dont expect hot water.

The place is located on the same property with the Days Inn, so both lobbies were easily compared, (the Days inn was GREAT!)Traveloddge rooms are/ were dark, and bathroom smelled moldy! other guests we spoke too says DAYS inn rooms were better, and they moved to days inn. Staff at front desk were confused about using Hotels.com voucher, and made me check out, and re-checkin to stay another night??

I left a wake up call and did not receive one. The toilet seat was loose; I tried to fix it but one of the bolts wounln't hold. I would certainly use Hotels.com again though.
